Question: Are there restrictions on shipping fruit/vegetable seeds internationally? I'm trying to set up an online gardening business, and would like to offer my seeds (mostly fruit and vegetable) to Canada and the UK to widen my customer base.
Are there any restrictions on doing this, and would I need a some type of certificate or permission?
Answer: Yes. The reason there are laws about this are because of the potential of ruining an ecosystem.
Think about how the common rat has spread from unintentionally shipping them around.
I know these hazards might not seem to apply to the types of seeds you are selling, but most governments would rather be safe than sorry.
Question: When should I stop mixing rice cereal with fruit & vegetable baby food? I have a niece who is 6 months and eats rice cereal mixed with her fruit and vegetable baby food. When is it a good time to stop mixing it and giving her the baby food directly?

Question: Do the Debbie Meyer fruit/vegetable bags really work? And, can they be reused? I buy a lot of fruit and veggies, so it seems like a lot to spend on bags if they aren't reusable.
Answer: YES YES YES
I am so excited to answer this question. I saw them and was SKEPTICAL for sure. A friend said her sister loved them and she was going to get some.
I went to Bed Bath and Beyond with my coupon and got 20 bags (10 big 10 smaller) for about 8 bucks.
Apples and oranges that stay for weeks - I hid a bag with apples and oranges to test them. Fruit does not stay in my house long with out getting eaten.
Cucumbers and zucchini - beautiful. Lettuce lasts longer (still browns but not nearly as fast).
HOWEVER only one thing I found is do not put in green bananas because they never ripen! I had a bunch for THREE weeks. We took them out and they didnt brown ever. Weird. Hubby thought they were plaintains but they were long skinny bananas!
OH and if you put in a zucchini that has some mold on it then it will still go bad. Be sure to wash, rinse and dry all produce.
They are reuseable.I wash the bags out by turning inside out and rinsing.
I LOVE THEM
I give them a ten.
Added on edit:
I dont like to go to the store every day or every other day. I have a large family and I buy in bulk. I like that these bags keep it fresher longer for us.
I have reused mine several times and none have been discarded yet.
You asked if they work and they do.
I got 20 bags I believe for 8 bucks. I am sure they add lots of things on tv about what things will do. I can honestly say that they do what they say to my satisfaction and work for me.
Question: What can I use the fruit/vegetable stuff for that's left over when doing a juice fast? I'm doing a month-long detox program, that includes one week of a liquid-juice fast, as well as drinking fresh juices everyday for a month. I'm also trying to go as organic as possible, which means that for each glass of juice I make, I've got a cup or more of the left-over fibrous vegetable matter in the juicer...relatively expensive vegetable matter since it's all supposed to be organic! I've never been one to just throw out useful things, so I'm wondering if there is anything I can do with this stuff! I know I can use the applesauce to substitute in baking, but what about carrots, spinach, beets, oranges, tomatoes, etc? My mom suggested that I make soup, but it ends up acting like a thickening agent, and regardless, if I made it all into soup, I'd have a cupboard full of it!
Answer: For carrots I like to make it into a carrot cake, or even a carrot bread, If you do a zuchinni you could also make that into bread. Really any fruit or veg you can make into a bread.
Soup is a great idea. And it would be tastey too.
You could also put the left over grounds into a compost pile and use it to fertalize your garden. You arent eating it, but at least you would be putting it to use.
Question: does a fruit and vegetable diet work? Anyone had success with this diet? like i was thinking of having fruit, vegetables, fruit juice and one serving of meat a day. Is this good or?

Question: What are good fruit / vegetable plants to grow indoors? Was shopping at IKEA and saw they had a pineapple plant for sale. Thought it was interesting and wanted to buy it, but didn't know if it was possible for it to grow inside. I don't mind taking care of it each day and buying fertilizer, but I'd rather stay away with all the crazy bulbs and contraptions. Are there any fruits and or vegetables that grow well inside or a combination of inside and outside during the summer.
Answer: The key to growing anything is proper light , water and fertilizer.

Many people have a misconception that fruit is difficult to grow indoors, but it's not. Fruit can be maintained in a pot and does quite well inside as long as you have a sunny window.

Question: What do you think is the best tasting vegetable or fruit-vegetable juice that you can make at home? I'm getting one of those super juicers and i want to find out recipes.
What do you think is the most nutritious and best tasting juice that is a combination of vegetables or both vegetables and fruits?
Answer: I have a Jack LaLanne Power Juicer, and love a combo of carrots, apples, ginger, parsley and celery for a veggie boost, and cantelope, apple, kiwi and radish.
I do not peel any of the fruits or veg, wash them well and make sure to top or clean any bad spots.
Both of the combo are good for a number of things, a detox, bowel cleanser, the ginger helps with gas, I even mix some plain yougart or buttermilk in the fruit based one for a morning breakfast substitute.
I am a diabetic and take several arthritic meds so it is a great energizer and keeps my sugar levels down, and I have lost 30 pounds with a moderate juice diet and caloric diet reduction.

Also, if you know of anything that grows fast and is easy to grow, that's really good.
Like avocado plants I read take years to bear avocados. I only plan on living here for about 1-2 years. So something like that wouldn't be good.
