Liquid Vitamins
Question: I dropped liquid vitamins on my carpet. Does anyone know how to remove the spot/smell? While giving my son a dose of liquid infant vitamins I dropped the bottle on the floor. If you have never used this type of supplement, let me tell you...They have a hue similar to iodine and smell very strongly of iron (also an igredient). I have been able to get the majority of the stain out of our rose colored carpet, but, my son's room smells very bad now. The entire room is permeated with the smell of iron. I don't know how to remove the smell. The vitamins are regular over the counter enfamil liquid vitamins with iron.
Answer: Blot with Alcohol until totally removed. Blot with a solution of 1/4 of a cup of liquid HAND dish washing detergent per cup of lukewarm water. Blot with lukewarm water with a white towel. Blot dry with a dry WHITE absorbent towel. Apply a one-half inch layer of WHITE (no printing) paper towels to the affected area and weight down with a flat heavy object and remove the next day.
After you remove the stain, the smell should start to go away also. Keep the room well ventilated, and use baking soda on the area to absorb any left over residue from the vitamins. I used to use this with my son, so I know exactly what you mean!
If this doesn't work, you may have to call in a professional. Good luck!
Question: liquid vitamins ? does any one know of any good ones for iron , zinc and b vitamins brand names would be helpful thanks!
Answer: I recommend all natural Liqui-Lea Plus Iron. I know it contains B vitamins and Iron but not sure about the Zinc. It also uses plant based iron so there won't be a problem with constipation.
Hope this is helpful
Question: Any significant difference in using liquid vitamins or pills? I use a liquid vitamin called first step because I don't like the after taste of pill vitamins. I have heard stories on both sides of the vitamin debate for each version. Any more have any hard evidence?
Answer: Studies have shown that the body only absorbs between 10% to 20% of the nutrients available in capsulated form, which means of every $100.00 spent on capsules or tablets, approximately $90.00 is wasted. When a capsule or tablet is swallowed, it takes between 20 to 25 minutes to break down in the stomach. Even though most people take a capsule or tablet with water, the water passes quickly, leaving only the stomach acids to poorly distribute the nutrients.
So in other words, I completely agree with Celaeno...

Question: Can my childs liquid vitamins go bad? I accidentally left the cap off the vitamins over night. They don't expire until next year. They are children liquid vitamins prescribed by the doctor. They are stored at room temperature, do you think they should be okay to keep giving my child? Or should I wait to get a new bottle before I give them?
Answer: As long as they are stored at room temperature, I would think that they should be okay unless you think something might have gotten into the bottle (like if you've been dusting, cleaning sprays, etc).........
Question: Are liquid vitamins acceptable in place of tablets? Lots of conflicting information and I can't seem to find good sources. Stomach acids seem to destroy some things which means you can't absorb them, but basic vitamins and minerals seem to be okay? Your body doesn't "instantly" begin absorbing this stuff, it has to pass through a rather acidic environment.
Answer: The human body consumes liquid vitamins better than in the pill form. At least thats what most of the doctors say. Again, you need to space the consumption properly. A gap of at least 10 hours between two doses is suggested. Hope this helps.

Question: Are there any small hair vitamin pills or liquid hair vitamins out there? i have trouble swallowing pills so i chew them but i want to take some kind of hair vitamin. are there any that are really small because when i chew really big pills i end up and spit them right back out. also do any hair vitamins come in liquid?
Answer: What do you mean by "hair" vitamin pills?
Chewing up pills of any kinds isn't normally recommended unless directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Reason: it enters your blood stream differently (quicker) than if you simply digest it.
My advice?
1) Have a huge glass of water handy.
2) Put the water in your mouth and pop the pill in. Swallow.
Unfortunately, the hardest part is the mental block you put on it. You're going to encounter larger pills for the rest of your life - what better time to learn how to cope than now?
Question: Liquid vitamins for an autistic child? Can anyone recommend a liquid vitamin supplement that would give my autistic child the RDA of her daily vitamins. It would have to be a liquid that I could add to milk or apple juice that would not change the taste so she will still drink it.
Answer: If she already likes apple juice, I would recommend NHR Products Epic Ultra Liquid Vitamin Mineral. It has a very pleasant taste and when diluted with water tastes just like apple juice. This is the only liquid vitamin I know of that has an apple flavor and it is very appealing to children. It is a high potency formula so you would probably want to cut the dosage in half for a child, which means that one bottle would last her for at least 2 months. It is priced at $19.95 per bottle. You can check it out here: http://www.nhrpc.com/mmoconnor I hope this helps!
Question: does anyone know if liquid vitamins work http://eternity.4tgl.com i heard they were a great alternative? Heard liquid vitamins work better than pills.
Answer: I would say that they are definitely better alternative. Vitamins tend to be hard for people to swallow, I'm not sure why that's just how it is. A liquid state of vitamins is obviously easier, not only that but it enters you're body more directly. Whereas if you have a hard pill it takes longer for the body to digest. You can look it up for yourself. I attached a website for you. Good luck.
Question: What is the market share of liquid vitamins, minerals and supplements?
Answer: 20%
Question: Do you lose water or actual fat when on a liquid diet with vitamins and protein? I have been put on a liquid diet by my surgeon for the pre-op for my lapband surgery I am having. He has me on a daily multi-vitamin and I drink protein shakes all day and on a liquid diet.
My question is: When you lose weight on a liquid diet, is it water or actual fat?
Thanks in advance!
Answer: The vast majority of diets will make you lose water, vitamins and minerals. It would appear that he has you on a very low cal diet, and trying to compensate for these by supplementing those.
Supplementing is never as good as the real thing, and water is stored with carbs, (one reason why low cal diets make you lose water weight).
You probably will end up losing some water weight and a bit of fat weight.
If you want to actually lose fat though you need to combine dieting with exercise. Right now your body is entering "starvation mode" and it will try to conserve energy, your metabolism is going to lower.
Overall, you probably will lose some actual fat, its not going to be healthy for you, but I assume theres a rush to get you thin and you cannot exercise?
Question: Where Can I Buy Industrial Size Liquid Amino Acids & Vitamins? I'm specifically interested in buying mass quantities of Choline, L-Carnitine, L-Tyrosine, & B/C Vitamins in liquid form. The reason for this being that I would like to do research on supplementing for fatigue and attention deficit.
Answer: google... liquid vitamins wholesale bulk
Question: Is liquid vitamins humans take good for growing plants?
Answer: No, they aren't - plants and animals need different types of nutrients in differing quantities.
Question: Liquid baby vitamins for fish? I read using liquid baby vitamins in your fish tank is good when you are treating them for a disease to help boost their immune etc?
I thought it was weird, what do you guys think?
Thanks that makes more sense. The site I read said to add it directly to the water. 1 drop per 5 gallons...and I just thought that didn't seem like it would be very helpful.
Answer: The idea is to soak the food in liquid vitamins. Vitamin deficiency has been implicated in hole in the head disease & lateral line erosion. This often occurs in larger piscavorous cichlids that are fed a diet heavy in live feeder fish, which is a very unbalanced diet.
A quality cichlid pellet soaked in a liquid multi vitami such as Centrum, along with immaculate water conditions is a part of the cure for these diseases. Clean water & a balanced diet is a preventative.
Many people will add liquid vitamins, among other things, to home made beefheart mix. This gives a high protein growth/conditioning food with more balance than straight beefheart.
Question: Can I give My senior male dog liquid vitamins with , Noni juice, goji juice, & georgain blueberry juice? For his enlarged prostate?
The Vitamin is called liqua vida, from liquidity international
Answer: Run this by a vet, first. Dogs can be poisoned by foods that are fine for us... avocados, grapes and broccoli for example.
Your vet should be able to recommend vitamins to aid your dog's enlarged prostate, both offered through the vet and some even at health food stores.
Question: Are liquid vitamins better than pill vitamins? This is what I heard= Liquid vitamins begin to absorb in the mouth and on the way down. Liquid vitamins mostly absorb before being destroyed by stomach acids. Pill type uses hyper potentcies to compensate for non absorbation problems. my personnal experience is that some high potent pill vitamins causes stomach distress. What's your opinion?
Answer: There are swiss all natural herbal tonics at whole foods that are fantastic. They are bioavailable and sourced from herbs and plants that are listed on their ingredient lists. Darned if I can remember the name. I can only purchase them once and a while because they are expensive, but they work and I don't have stomach problems with them like I do with some of the drinkable fizz drinks. I switched from pills because I had digestion problems all my life and I find certain-high quality food and herb based liquid vitamins help with my immune system and energy on low days, plus the B vitamins are easy to absorb and then yes pee out later but while there in my blood stream it is great.
Question: Is it okay to dissolve vitamins in liquid before taking them? I hate taking big horse pills. I like to dissolve vitamins in water and then put them in a smoothie and taking them that way. Will this affect their potency?
Thanks!
Answer: No, it is not okay to dissolve vitamins in liquid before taking them. The sizes and structure they are made in are specifically designed. It affects the adsorption of the drug if it has been tampered with.
