Answer: I would like to present to you two of the best exercises for abs out there today.
The first of these exercises for abs is called the abdominal hold. To do this ab exercise correctly, please:
1) Sit tall on the edge of a sturdy chair, placing your hands on the edge with your fingers pointing towards your knees.
2) Tighten your abs and bring your toes 2 to 4 inches off of the ground, lifting your butt off of the chair.
3) Hold this position for five to ten seconds.
4) Lower yourself down and repeat the exercise for one whole minute.
Pretty easy, wasn't it? Now, here is another one of the best exercises for abs. This one is called the `Side Crunch'. To do this other excercise for your abs properly, please:
1) Kneel on the floor and lean all the way over to your right side, placing your right palm on the floor.
2) While keeping your weight balanced, slowly extend your left leg while pointing your toes.
3) Place your left hand behind your head, pointing your elbow towards the ceiling.
4) Next, slowly lift your leg to hip height as you extend your arm above your leg, with your palm facing forward.
5) Look out over your hand while bringing the left side of your rib cage towards your hip.
6) Lower yourself back down to starting position and repeat 6-8 more times. Do two more sets and then switch sides.
So there you have it, two very good exercises for abs that target your rectus abdominis better than most other exercises for abs out there. Of course, other exercises are out there, too, such as the reverse crunch or the bicycle exercise, but these two are surely good enough to get you started. Along with a balanced diet and good determination, these two exercises for abs will surely start you on your journey towards great abs.
Question: Is Whey Protein shake good for loosing fat? I just got some Whey protein powder and just started bodybuilding but i need to burn fat, is whey protein shake good for loosing fat with very little cardio ( a mile bike ride each morning) ? should i do more cardio?

Next, I think you could probably stand to up the cardio a bit. I don't know what you're diet is like, but losing weight is usually a combination of a healthy diet (including calorie counting) and cardio.

Question: Do belts which contracts muscles helps loosing fat? I saw it many times on TV and I am planing to buy one but do they really help loosing fat or they just buff up muscles?
And is better to buy belt with sauna massage or belt that contracts muscles?
Answer: They do work (Slendertone do any way) but you have to use them quite a lot as per the instructions.
I had to return my Slendertone as it caused problems with my back.
Question: Is it possible to gain muscle while loosing fat? I'm just curious if its easier to gain the muscle you want first then loose the fat later. Im on a high protein/high calorie diet and ive gone from 190 to 200 lbs in two months. Im just kind of skeptical on if Im doing this the correct way. I dont want to gain too much fat cause im guessing that about half of what I gained is probably fat.

Answer: Yes, swimming is excellent as it exercises many different muscle groups, especially if you vary your strokes (front crawl, breast stroke etc...). It is also low impact so doesn't stress bones, joints and muscles as much as something like running does.
Obviously the faster you swim, the more calories you'll burn in the 40 mins you swim for so, if you don't already, do a bit of slow swimming to warm yourself up then push yourself a bit by swimming faster.
How much time it'll take to burn fat and gain muscles really depends on your metabolism, and also what you eat will affect it (for example don't expect to get a nicely toned body if you eat piles of chips each day!). But after a couple months of swimming you will definitely notice a difference.
Add some sit-ups, press-ups and some cycling (in a gym or on the road) into your exercise routine and you'll notice the effects sooner.

Answer: push ups and pull ups. you can use a chair for both of these workouts..but they sometimes get boring.
so if u wanna tone them up as well as build overall muscle mainly hamstrings and back, you can dog run (run back and forth on all fours) this will reduce overall body fat.

Question: How come I stopped loosing fat? How do I loose the last 10lbs of fat? I've been dancing for 1 year and I lost? just over 30lbs this way in a year. Question: What is a good workout program for building muscle and loosing fat? I am 21, 6 foot 1 and in OK shape. I basically want to burn fat and build muscle. This will not be for any sport specifically.
Answer: The most important thing in building muscle and losing fat is eating good healthy food with enough (not to much) protein. As for working out, the best way to build muscle and burn fat is high intensity, short duration workouts. Forget about the marathon (2 hour) workouts in the magazines ( those guys are taking huge amounts of steroids). It should take no longer than 10 or 15 minutes per body part. Here is an example for chest: grab some dumb bells that you can easily do 12 reps with, then rest for 1 minute. Grab another set you can only due 12 rep with and rest for a minute. Now go to a weight you can only do 8-10 and rest 2 minutes. Go back to a little lighter weight where you have to really dig deep to squeeze out 12 reps and then immediately go to flys with a weight you can only squeeze out 10-12 reps. That's it your chest should be DONE by now. It's important to go to absolute failure (go past the pain of the burn) on the last 2 sets to hit every last muscle fiber. Always use good form (you don't want injuries and your muscles have to work harder if you use strict form). Some other examples would be: squats for legs, finish with leg extensions. Lat pull downs for back and finish with dumbbell pull overs. Barbell curls for biceps and finish with dumbbell preacher curls. With short intense workouts you are able to completely tax you muscles, yet still have the reserves to rebuild them quickly. Not to mention, why spend 2 hours a day in the gym, when 45 minutes is supperior to building muscle and burning fat. Also take 1 or 2 days off a week from working out to rest your body.
Edit: don't listen to the answer above mine. It's not hard to gain muscle and lose fat, just look at all the before and after pictures of the thousands of people who did the "Body For Life" challenge. You just have to eat the right foods and workout intensely.

Answer: my suggestion will be to go to the gym. and maybe get a personal trainer to help you on your first session. because the exercises varies from parts to parts and if you only want to target the certain areas you should definately consult them first.
if you want to lose some weight on your legs. i am trying to do so too. there is this push the weight with your legs exercise that only targets the legs.
and the best way to lose tummy fats is sit up.. eventhough they are painful. that is the best solution
Question: gaining muscle mass and loosing fat, how should i do it? Hi, I’m training for almost a year, but I don’t have a lot of progress. My goal is to build some muscle mass and loose a lot of fat. I just started to drink protein shakes after exercising. I usually do some weightlifting 3 times a week for 45 minutes and I have cardio for about 40 – 45 minutes right after the weights. When is the best time to get my protein shake before or after cardio, or maybe during cardio workout?
Answer: Here's the dilemma: To gain muscle, you have to eat a lot of calories... to lose weight you have to consume less calories and burn more then you eat.
My advice is to either lose weight (1 hour to 2 hours) for a couple of months and lift to maintain your muscle, then lift for a couple of months while doing light cardio (30 min). Or you can do both at the same time... but you wont experience that much gains as apposed to doing one after the other. You should rest between lifting... you could do light cardio on those days.
At least one day out of the week should be a total rest day. Find out what other nutrients you need to lift.
For the protein shakes, I would just do it right after... I heard that whey protein dehydrates you.

Answer: Get into some pattern of daily exercise if you are not already. It does not have to be extensive or completely energy-draining, just enough to get your heart going and perhaps sweat a little. If there's a specific area you're trying to lose fat in, exercise that area the most. Drink plenty of water to keep your system clean. Maybe take some B-12, which helps boost your metabolism a little bit. Also cut back on food portions to prevent yourself from gaining more fat.

There are approximately 454 grams in a pound.
To lose one pound of fat, you must burn 4086 calories (plus whatever calories are gained from eating)
