Nutritional Diet And Health Drinks

Question: Nutritional benefits of black coffee? I just gave up cream and sugar for good for my diet. I've started drinking coffee black, which is good, but I was wondering about the health effects... I know cream and sugar is extremely unhealthy and fattening, especially the cream, but what about straight black? Other than the caffeine, I don't imagine much to worry about.

Answer: Contrary to what people who don't like coffee believe, it's actually very good for you. 8 oz of fresh brewed black coffee only has 2 calories. It has been shown to help prevent Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Type II diabetes, and certain cancers. The caffeinated version has 3x the caffeine of the average soda and twice that of most energy drinks. Many people don't like coffee because they never had a good cup. I used to hate it when the only experience I had was my parents' coffee (it sucked). Now I roast my own & have 6 different way to make it and I love it.
