Nutritious Diet
Question: What foods should I eat for a balanced, nutritious diet? So lately i've been having bad panic/anxiety attacks, and have been very tired. I want to start eating better and exercising more to try and get rid of this, but I don't know where to start. What foods should I be eating, and also can you recommend any good start-up exercise routines for someone needing a load more energy?
Should add I can't afford the gym at the moment.
Answer: Here's a great free article about the foods to eat to lose weight. These are all healthy foods that you should be eating. It will also tell you the foods to avoid, and other eating tips. You will feel a lot better if you start eating healthy foods. You will be giving your body what it needs to function properly.

As far as exercise, if you haven't been exercising, just start with walking. Try to get in about 30 minutes of walking a day. Better yet, do 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening. Then, you can work up to adding some running in your routine.
Once you get your fitness level up some, then you can also start doing some exercise DVD's. I recommend Billy Blank's Tae Bo DVD's. They are a lot of fun and will give you an excellent workout!
Question: How can we tell the difference between a nutritious and a non-nutritious diet? Please! only the ones who really wants to help answer.
Answer: A nutritious diet contains a good amount of carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats. A nutritious diet will consist of mainly or only non-processed food. A nutritious diet will be balanced.
A non-nutritious diet is full of processed foods and fast food. It lacks proper nutrients and/or good sources for those nutrients. A non-nutritious diet is not balanced.
Reading food labels is a good way to tell how healthy a food is. You should be checking sugar, fat, and sodium content. If you want to lose weight you should look for low-calorie foods.
The larger the list of ingredients for a particular food, the more processed it is. If you look at potatoes or eggs there will be no ingredients.
Why? Because they aren't processed, they only consist of one ingredient, themselves, not added ingredients, like high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oil and the various chemicals factories use in their products.
Good sources of protein are egg whites, lean meat, and sea food. Good sources of carbohydrates are potatoes, wheat bread, and brown rice. Good sources of healthy fats are avocados and fish. If one is looking to lose weight they should consume a diet high in protein and low in fat and carbs.
The main beverage for everyone should be water. It has 0 calories and naturally occurs in life. It is not laden with various chemicals that processed drinks have. It makes up 75 percent of the body and is the best beverage to hydrate you. It also aids in removing toxins from the body. The next best thing is 100% fruit juice, which should be taken in moderation.
Best of luck!
Question: is Cinnamon Toast Crunch part of a nutritious diet? Is it healty to eat Cinnamon Toast Crunch every morning? I know on the box it says whole grains and good source of calcium if eaten with milk and all that... but it seems like it has too much sugar. but it tastes sooo good. anyway, yeah.
Answer: I love cinnamon toast crunch!
Well it's not the healthiest option because of the sugar content, but if the rest of your diet is good then it's probably fine. You could always compromise by having just half a bowl of cinnamon toast crunch, then having a few pieces of fruit with yogurt as well, or a soft boiled egg and wholemeal toast or something.
Question: Only for vegetarians ....What kind of diet is nutritious .i mean how much protein ,carbohydrates etc? I m a vegitarian and some times i wonder may be i m not getting my enough protein as i dont eat eggs too
are there any vegetarian people who know what should be included in our diet to make it a full nutrition meal
Answer: This should give you an idea of whether or not you have been getting enough protein.

A balanced plant-based diet includes grains(breads, pasta, rice, cereal), legumes(soy, beans, peas, lentils), fruit and vegetables.

http://www.peta.org/accidentallyVegan/
http://www.veganoutreach.org/whyvegan/eating.html
Being veg can be an art, one whose challenge is to take things that involve the suffering of the innocent and change them into something free of cruelty.
If you are vegetarian, much of your dietary protein can easily be provided by meat analogs such as vege burgers/ dogs/ sausage. I recommend Gardenburger's BBQ riblets.
You should keep in mind that a journey such as this can be quite short but should just be the beginning of a longer one to a plant-based diet with no animal products. This is because of the reality of factory farming in which animals that are kept alive to produce milk, eggs, etc suffer much more and longer than animals that are raised to a certain weight and then slaughtered.http://www.veganoutreach.org/whyvegan/
http://meat.org
Some people use the word "vegan" in reference to this idea, but be aware that applying that label to yourself should always come with the inclusion of wise activism and advocacy.http://www.veganoutreach.org/advocacy/index.html
Two extremely important examples of this are that you should never speak to someone about vegetarianism/veganism without their consent and genuine interest or as a comment on what they are eating AND your dietary beliefs should never be used as an introduction or explanation of who you are as a person. Veg*ism should be something that comes up AFTER people get to know you and they offer you a situation that makes it confusing to withhold the information/discussion. Also, if you are presented something that you choose not to eat or you are
ordering food/eating together somewhere/picking the best place to eat.
A responsible vegan ALWAYS studies the subject of their own health and how to keep their body completely provided for in every sense. http://www.veganhealth.org/sh
To neglect their body is to define a plant-based diet as unhealthy and is the opposite of helping the animals.
When you you hold off on the subject until it's necessary and then act like it isn't a big deal at all, people are usually surprised and WAY more interested and curious than if you were to bring it up when someone's eating or just using it as a conversation starter.
A vegan woman can create an ENTIRELY NEW,HEALTHY HUMAN BEING INSIDE OF HER. Many of these children stay vegan and grow up to be perfectly healthy adults. So just keep yourself educated about what you eat and don't let anyone tell you that a veg diet is lacking anything essential.
Technically the term "vegetarian" does imply that you don't consume anything that comes from the body of an animal that requires killing it. Many ingredients such as gelatin and glycerin are found in many candies, Fig-Newtons, and many of other foods as well as rennet found in many cheeses.

The best thing to remember is to take your time so that for example: when you are comfortable not eating beef and pork you can then give up chicken when you are sure you can make the commitment permanently.
Depending on your age or reliance on parents or regional options, it may not be best to give yourself a label. The important thing is to do your best to make progress and be committed to your compassion towards animals. Never put your focus onto what you or other people use to describe yourself.
If you meet someone that talks down to people for eating meat, dairy, etc or to you because they think they are "more veg" than you, laugh in their face and tell them they are a disgrace to the entire philosophy. People like this only hurt the idea of veg*ism AND the animals. The point of all of this is to live compassionately and and as free from cruelty as you can, all the while maintaining your health and a positive attitude. People who don't maintain either, need not open their mouths and represent our beliefs.
If you actually choose to read all of this, I hope it helps. If not, feel free to e-mail me if you have questions.

Question: what is a very nutritious diet for someone with..? What is the best healthy and nutritious diet for someone who:
1.is a vegetarian (yet eats seafood),
2.has hypothyroidism,
3.has PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) which means also needs to cut down sugar and starches
4.is really poor presently and cannot afford most organic and such at the moment...as in counts every penny
5. has poor sleep
6. is dehydrated most of the time
7. has very very cracking bones but can't stand milk
Answer: Milk isn't as good as yoghurt for your bones,so if you can stand yoghurt try it cause it has worked miracles on me!
Other than that,I can only suggest lots of fruit and vegetable because you get all the water you need and it's better absorbed by your body than just drinking water...you know...all the fibre and stuff really helps!
You could maybe try reiki to help with your sleep and health problems.
I'm not a doctor but in my experience all of these stuff really work if you want to be healthy and energetic during the day.
Question: What would be the most affordable yet nutritious raw food diet? I'm guessing bananas, nuts to soak them before eating, and what else
Answer: Seaweed salad
Tabouli
Guacamole
That kind of stuff.
Honestly, you have to be really dedicated to keep up a raw diet... and it's kind of silly. You need to stay in the produce area of the store because some nuts are roasted and processed in other ways.
Try to consume your fats in the forms of fresh foods, like avocados, and olive oil. Make spinach salads. Research the foods of the middle east, like hummus and tabouli, for inspiration.
Don't put too much stock in the 100% raw thing. I'm sure Gweneth Paltrow is farting up a storm!!
Question: What are nutritious food and diet for a cancer patient.? Should cancer patients not eat red meat , canned mackerel, sardines and tuna , sausages, spams, hotdogs, hamburgers for life ? Also milk is bad ?
Answer: Definitely avoid meat-especially the processed stuff. For protein eat beans. Milk products might be okay in small doses-if you want dairy products go for organic (and possibly avoid low-fat products some studies show they, but not full-fat increase cancer risk), and chose cheese or yogurt (or other cultured foods) over milk or ice cream. Also try to cut back on salt, sugar, white flour and white rice, and avoid alcohol. Eat as many fruits and vegetables as possible. Try to eat whole grains-brown rice, whole wheat, steel-cut oats (not rolled or instant), barley (hulled not pearl), bulgur, millet, and quinoa. Overall, try to keep dietary fat low and fiber high.
Use lots of spices (garlic, ginger, rosemary and turmeric especially) for their antioxidant and/or immune boosting effects. Maitake mushrooms (or D-fraction supplements) may be worth adding to your diet-they're popular in Asia as a cancer treatment, although there are only preliminary studies in the US. Also, try to get some light exercise-walking is great.
Question: What is a nutritious breakfast for The South Beach Diet? My coworkers are on the South Beach diet. It sounds good. I cannot think of anything other than cereal and yogurt for breakfast though.
Answer: South Beach diet is focused on the intake of "good carbs" and "good fats" according to the inventor of it Dr. Arthur Agatston.
Dr. Agatston believes that excess consumption of so-called "bad carbohydrates", such as the rapidly-absorbed carbohydrates found in foods with a high glycemic index, creates an insulin resistance syndrome—an impairment of the hormone insulin's ability to properly process fat or sugar.
For a breakfast you can eat some oatmeal with low fat milk and raisins. Oatmeal has a low glycemic index, meaning that is a good carb, besides it has a high content of soluble fiber, which is good for lowering bad (LDL) colesterol levels from the blood and so, good your your heart.
Raisins have tons of antioxidants, and those can slow the aging process, and milk will be your protein source. If you're intolerant to lactose try soy milk.
Extra Advise: Try to make ten minutes of cardiovascular activity per day, something like taking the stairs instead of the elevator and have fun!
Question: i want catchy slogans on promoting healthy lifestyle and nutritious diet?
Answer: EAT MEAT GET FAT
Question: Why do Christians have a very healthy and nutritious diet, while Atheists are very unhealthy eaters.?
Answer: Wouldn't happen to have any double-blind nutrition studies or data to support your assertion would you?
Question: Can anybody suggest me what could be an IDEAL NUTRITIOUS WELL BALANCED VEGETARIAN diet for a day? Could u be more specific on what to eat EXACTLY when( instead of just saying have Carbs in morning n fruits n all that) .Please can u be specific.
If anybody can supplement with recipe also then it would be BEST.
Answer: There's no such thing.
Question: What nutritious foods can i add to my dogs diet? What can i add to my dogs food dish that is nutritious?
hes a *Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever* is there any foods that promote healthy gums, digestion, coat oil, .etc
veggies????
to add to his normal dog food.
*dry* dog food
Brown Rice? is good i think?
Answer: Contrary to popular belief, grains are not good for dogs but that pretty much wipes out all dog food. So the less of any grain the better.
For my 3 dogs, I mix their dry food with a few scoops of canned food and split one can of sardines between the three. Only sardines in water or olive oil is suggested (about $1 a can). This is great for their coat and intake of fish oil for cholesterol (just like humans). AND they love it! This is much cheaper to do than buying the way overpriced fish oil for dogs.
Also, small bite-size pieces of raw ground beef, liver or chicken. Remember, dogs are carnivores and scavengers by nature. Their bodies have the enzymes that humans don't to protect them from salmonella or ecoli poisoning. This is a great source for protein for healthy muscle mass and weight proportion.
Steamed veggies like carrots, leafy greens, broccoli boiled in chicken/beef/veggie broth are great, too. Sometimes, you see your dog eating grass. That's because they're bodies are craving the nutrients from greens.
Everything I've suggested I have fed to my dogs and they love it all. I've done hours of online research on this topic and hope your dog can benefit from it too. I am on a budget now so I just do the sardine method. And, I feed them that twice daily. Good luck!
Question: Is this diet healthy, nutritious and good for weight loss? Breakfast - 2 egg omelette with spinach, mushrooms and small amount of parmesan. (250kcals)
Lunch - M&S 3 bean salad. (235kcals)
Dinner - Spicy bean burger with broccoli, cauliflower and swede. (273kcals)
Dessert - Quark soft cheese with lemon juice and sweetener. (180kcals)
Answer: The quality of food is good, but it's not enough calories.
This day totals 938 cals. Your body needs about 1200 cals a day to prevent it from operating in starvation mode.
Add a couple of small protein rich snacks like some nuts or a half cup of yogurt to keep your metabolism stoked.
Question: sausages and hash browns - the cornerstones of a nutritious diet? (also happens to be all Ive got in the fridge...!)
what are you having for dinner/supper ??
Answer: Everyone knows that the cornerstone of a nutritious diet is cheesecake ... and plenty of it. Of course, nowhere does it say you cannot have sausages and hash browns before partaking of it but, of course, you risk filling up valuable cheesecake space in your stomach, don't you? So, leave the sausages and hash browns in the fridge. You know it makes sense.
Question: Would a Gorilla's diet be sufficiently nutritious for human consumption?
Answer: Watch what they feed the gorillas in the zoo. There are things like corncobs and unpeeled fruit that are not going to do your teeth and you digestion much good.
Question: POLL: When you feed your psyche junk foods instead of a nutritious diet does your mind become obese and...? ...develop health problems/issues?
Answer: Absolutely. Your mind can get diseases like "stupidity" and laziness" and "don't give a dam$". Of course it can. Your brain and mind and psyche needs to feed the proper nutritious diet so that it can function at it's proper capacity at all times. Good diet, plenty of sleep, exercise, proper stress levels, fun and friends and family and plenty of good old fashioned learning.
Peace & Love :)
