Protein Sports Supplements
Question: What's the shelf life of sports supplements? What is the shelf life of most supplements such as protein powders, creatine power mixtures, and NO inhibitors? Particularly, 100% Whey Power, Celltech, and Armageddon. An average would be good, and if they never really expire, let me know that.
Answer: It should say on the container. Check the bottom!
Question: all these fancy sport supplements... protein is protein, isnt it?? whey protein, soy protein, milk, egg, wtf protein... Is it not all the same??
Answer: Whey protein is the fastest digesting (ideal for after workout)
Milk and egg protein is more slow digesting (ideal for before bed snack or meal in order to get a good amount of protein in for the WHOLE night)
Question: What sports supplements are legal in China? I just moved to China, and I'm trying to find out the legality of nutritional supplements related to bodybuilding. I'm talking about protein powder, creatine, clenbuterol, l-glutamine; are these legal in China? What is or isn't legal? Where would one go to purchase these things in China- the pharmacy? Online? Specialty stores? I appreciate your help.
Answer: Protein powder, creatine, and the supplements you mentioned are legal in China. There are a lot of questionable supplements in China. My suggestion is Amway in China. There are Amway stores in China and they sell a nutritional supplements similar to what you asked. I know since I was given one from China to duplicate as I am a supplement supplier / manufacturer in the USA. Amway products are safe so far and is an American / Chinese joint venture but expensive. The other option is to buy from Hong Kong. Hong Kong Health regulation is very strict and all supplements must be registered and tested. China has the same laws but the country is too big to enforce. Thus, there are lots of poor quality stuff. Watson and Manning have sports nutritions and most are safe. Most mainland Chinese buy supplements in HK and it should give you a hint.
Good luck
Question: im thinking on taking whey protein supplements but i dont know if i should? i'm 17 and thinking on taking whey pro supplements..my sports routine during the week is: monday: nothing , tuesday: rugby, wednesday: gym , thursday: rugby, friday : gym and saturday: rugby...so i was wondering if i should take this stuff to help me with my fitness...also...what are the effects i'll start getting (will i get bigger, stronger, fatter, etc?) and when will i start seeing some changes in my body??
Answer: You should be taking it as an easily assimilated protein supplement. If it is just whey protein, it isn't going to do anything real special like creatine or some other things will. If you are already taking in a sufficient amount of protein, it probably wont do anything.

Question: Where is a good online website to buy NST protein supplement for cheap? NST (Nutrtion Sports Technology) protein supplement is what i am looking for.
Answer: Amazon.com
Question: What Creatine and other sports supplements should i use? Im 18 and about 5"10 about 115 pounds and skinny i started lifting weights and taking whey protein. i want to take creatine to help build more bulk muscle. any one have any preferences on different creatines and supplements. thanks
Answer: Creatine is 100% safe. It is the most researched muscle building supplement on the market, that does work.
Do you need it?
No. You do not need any supplement to pack on pounds and pounds of muscle.
Your either:
-not eating enough
-not sleeping enough
-not getting enough protein
-not resting your body long enough
-not lifting heavy enough
-lifting to quickly and using momentum to help get your reps
-doing to many sets
-working out for to long
-not keeping track of every workout in a log book
-not progressing each week with more weight or more reps
Have a look at that list and Im sure you will find some flaws with what you are doing.
Whey protein is good, but it's not going to have massive affects like most people seem to think it does. It's basically just crushed up food.
A plate of red meat with 40 grams of protein is far better for your body than a whey protein shake with 40 grams of protein (except if your having the whey protein shake as a post-workout meal).
Question: Are protein supplements legal? Are protein supplements like whey protein legal or are they just as illegal as the Anabolic Steroids than when tested possitive can cause a lot of issues in sports events? Are protein supplements considered as food or drugs?
Answer: Protein supplements are nutritional complements. They are not illegal. When I use whey protein I don't think of it as a drug. The word "supplements" says it all. These are just products to enhance your eating plan; therefore, they are very much associated with body builders, fitness buffs and athletes. Androsteindione, which is what Mark McGuire was using when he hit the 73 homeruns, is actually found naturally in sweet potatoes. There are many safe, legal methods of supplementing. The anabolic steroids are illegal for a reason. They can kill you!
Question: Who should take Protein Supplements? I don't work out at a gym but I am very active and play many sports. Should I take protein supplements to help with sore muscle problems?
I'm male and 22 yrs old
Answer: You should take Supplements if you desire to become bigger. Your muscle soreness if probably attributed to DOMS(Delayed onset muscle soreness) which are little tears in your muscle that supplements don't help with.
Playing sports will work out some of your muscles and give you great cardio but hitting the gym will have the most use out of your protein supplement.

Question: Sports' supplements? Well are sports supplements such as proteins for protein shakes, amino acids, fat burners, L-carnitine etc. harmless. I mean they are synthetic so do they do any damage or disorders ( even the slightest ) to the body? I am asking because it is a bit hard to get all the protein I need from food but I hate thing that are produced in labs and are a substitute for real food. Actually I'd love to have a meal only of pils but I don't believe they are as good as the real thing. So are they harmless or they boost you but then you get different kinds of disorders and problems.
Answer: oasislifesciences has 100% all natural protein you can buy and other great supplements. sponser# 1204365 if you want to buy any.
Question: Why aren't protein supplements FDA approved? How come when you go to a sports nutrition store like GNC almost nothing is FDA approved? Why is it that the regular protein supplements like Muscle Milk are also not evaluated? And how come when you search this question on google almost nothing related comes up? Are they trying to hide something from us? Do these products like proten really work or are they just fake?
Answer: It comes down to money. It would be extremely expensive for the FDA to do independent testing on all of these supplements, which would almost definitely passed onto the consumer.
Also, in evaluating the supplements the FDA might be accepting a certain amount of liability which they would be unwilling to accept.
It's doubtful that they are trying to hide something, protein supplements are just that. They will work (as I interpret you mean "work" to mean help you put on muscle) as well as you use and incorporate them into your workout routine.
Question: Can sports nutritional supplements such as creatine have negative impacts on your body? I am looking for a supplement to take to support my exercise program, but have heard negative things about creatine and other substances. I know there is whey protein, soy protein available, but also what to check out the anabolic enhancers. Has anyone had success using any of these?
Answer: I do, being a former body builder I can tell you what works and what doesn't.
First of all FORGET anabolic enhancers.
- Creatine (powder form, not monohydrate)
- L - Glutamine Peptide (powder form)
- Protein (Optimum makes a great one that has a high bioavailbility score..absorbs better)
- High Potency Multi Vitamin
- Lot's of Water
All you need from there is to lift heavy, 5 days a week and EAT, EAT, EAT...and get decent rest.
I weigh 240lbs @ 15% bf right now..I consume almost 5000 cals per day..over the coarse of 6-7 meals

PS - you don't HAVE to take creatine with sugar it just helps absorbtion. Regardless, immediately after your workout you should cosume sugar or any other simple carb, so as to spike your insulin and stop the catabolism that is beginning due to you just depleting your system of glycogen from intense use of your muscular system. 40-60g of simple sugars / carbs will suffice.
I put honey and creatine in my post wk out Protein shake..taste decent and is a great gaining tool. I average 10-15 of lean mass growth per year.
Question: Is it possible to replace protein supplements with regular sport shakes? I really do not want to take protein shakes and stuff because of the risk of it having a side effect. I'd rather not have to use something that people say it's bad and good at the same time. I also want to grow taller because i am playing football but i also want to get bigger. I am 5'10 maybe 5'11 and i weigh about 140 and i'm 15 years old. One of the defensive backs said he would drink sport shakes everyday because he didn't trust protein shakes and he's like 5'11 185 pounds. I also eat alot of foods that have protein in it like meats everyday. I just don't know what i should do though.
Answer: The hell are "sport shakes"?
If you say sport shakes i think about protein shakes, which by the way are not dangerous in any way. It's completely natural. No side effects at all.
You won't grow bigger unless you eat protein. You WILL get smaller if you don't eat protein, because you'll keep burning out your muscles if you train hard and you need something to rebuild it with. Especially if you want to get bigger, then you'll need A LOT more protein.
If you eat a healthy diet, you won't need protein shakes or ANY other kinds of shakes. I still drink them, because an athlete can't get enough from foods. We need an extra intake of nutrition.
So i recommend actually drinking protein shakes... If you really train hard you'll need it. You do wanna be good, don't you? Then you need to be strong. You need to be able to recover fast after your trainings and matches. How are you going to do that when your body is weak?
Don't listen to your friend, he's ignorant. If you choose a good brand you won't find anything natural in the shake, i can promise you that.
Most brands, if not all are completely natural anyway.
Sports shakes probably don't have enough nutrients for you to recover and build your body. They're probably just a quick before or aftershot with a little carbs, or something.
Question: What sports supplement should I use to increase my levels of speed? Creatine or Protein?
Answer: Creatine can be dangerous and you should not use it, ever.
Protein is necessary for cell repair and growth, however, it is not going to give you any speed or energy.
Take protein either in a meal or supplement after training, eat mostly complex carbohydrates, drink lots of water.
Nothing legal is going to increase your levels of speed.
Question: What protein supplement should I take experts please answer.? I am 14 years old and want to build muscle for sports next year. I am 5'6'' and 135 pounds and still growing. What is a safe protein supplement for me that will really help me build muscle? Would Whey protein help me out in muscle building is it safe? What are other safe protein supplements.
Answer: Whey protein should be fine for you. I would make sure you don't push yourself. Build the muscle in a stead pace because you're body is still growing and you don't want to restrict that growth with too much muscle mass. For your age range I would recommend (and this will vary based on how much working out you're doing) somewhere around 45 grams per day. If you're working out alot, step it up to about 75 grams. "reloaded" made a good point about when to take the protein. Typically you want to take the protein within 15 minutes of completing a good solid work out. The important thing to remember is that if you take the protein, but don't do the work to build the muscle, you're just going to gain weight, not muscle.
Question: Can I take Ssn anabolic muscle builder or Ssn whey protein for competitive sports? I am probably going to the junior world rowing championship's this year in aug and would like to know if its illegal to take supplements
Answer: There's nothing wrong in any of Ssn's products. They're all normal. Since they're not drugs, there's no way for them to test you for taking whey protein products. What are they gonna do, test your blood for an increase in protein?!
Supplements are not illegal, never were and never will be. Drugs are illegal.
If they're sold openly, I seriously doubt they're drugs, they would at least not be illegal. However, if you're on any kind of medication, I would check up on their legality. Some medicines, even prescription type medicines are banned from competition(depends on state laws).
