Skin Care
Question: Skin Care?? Any good home-remedies for acne treatment, or any type of skin care for that matter?
Answer: Aloe is a great natural product! Visit www.lexlimdskincare.com and read about the wonderful aloe based products! Any questions feel free to email me!
Question: Skin care? I am 22 years old and have normal skin. I get a few zits every once in awhile but do not get bad breakouts often. My question is what are the best skin care products to be using? My family has great skin, so do I still need to be using expensive products? If so what type should I be using? If I don't need expensive products what are some good over the counter products? I need information about cleansers, moisturizers, and anything else I should use. Thanks!
Answer: For your age and skin type I would recommend Arbonne Intelligence 5 Step system for face. It is a natural, botanically based, swiss-formulated skin care system. It is ideal for young skin (from about age 16-36). The moisturizer is self-adjusting, so that you get the amount your skin needs, without being over-moisturized. The eye cream is FANTASTIC! The cleanser and pH balancing Toner are a must. And there is also a facial scrub to use twice a week for that 'deep cleaning and exfoliating'. These Arbonne products contain no mineral oil, no petroleum products, no animal or animal by-products and no chemical fragrances.
Most over the counter products actually have ingredients in them that will ultimately harm your skin. One ingredient, mineral oil, is in 98% of all cosmetics and moisturizers, but has been found to be the second leading cause of premature aging of the skin. The molecules in mineral oil are too large to penetrate the skin (which is what the manufacturers had wanted it to do to moisturize), so they sit on top of your skin like a film of plastic wrap...this 'seals' the pores, so that your skin cannot breathe, and toxins cannot be released.
You are very lucky to have been blessed with great skin, so take care of it and don't ruin it by using damaging products. You may have to pay a little bit more, but isn't your skin and your health worth it? Feel free to email me if you have any other questions.
Question: SKIN CARE!!!!!!!????!!!? Heres my big "Q" for Skin Care
When You Wash Your Face would this work instead of buying expensive skin care products??
Step 1) Wash Face with a Cleanser
Step 2) Use Sea Salt on your face to unclog pores
Step 3) Rinse off with Luke Warm Water
Step 4) Use Mosturizing Hand Or Body Cream to finish up!
Do You Think This Could Work?????????
Please help and FAST!

Answer: Yes that would be mostly ok, I would really use a face lotion however. Hand and body lotion can be just a bit too hard for the sensitive skin on your face. Also make sure your cleanser and moisturizer are of the same brand so they work with each other instead of against. When you rinse your face be sure to wipe off with a warm wash cloth and not just water, a simple rinse leaves a residue on your face that can clog your pores no matter what cleanser you use.
Question: SKin care?????? What type of skin care product works best for getting rid of black heads??? They are annoying and I want them off!!!! How???
Also to whiten my teeth...whats the best solution?
Answer: for regular zits, proactiv is great. try it and see if it helps your blackheads, but in the meantime...
when I was in high school I used this Mint Julep Mask by Queen Helene. I think you can get it at rite aid and walgreens. It is a thick clay mask that sucks the oil from your pores. It worked great. It dries on your face and you can see spots where it has sucked the oil from your pores!
Great stuff, it's an old fashioned product (my mom used to use it back in her day) but it's still around for a reason!
The crest whitestrips work good for your teeth.
Question: What skin care am I supposed to take for my marriage after three months? I have my marriage in June and have been taking care of my skin a lot. But I want to know if there are any skin care tips or fasical masks that would be helpful and what sort of skin care should I take for a clear and glowing skin.
Answer: Exfoliate your skin weekly
Don't wash it with soap - it's too harsh and will strip your skin of natural oils. Wash it with a facewash designed for your skintype (dry, oily, sensitive, etc.)
Apply a mud mask every week (or every few days if your skin is oily)
Always wear sunscreen when you go outdoors
Don't pick at spots when they appear, just let them go away on their own
Drink plenty of water
Always clean off make-up thoroughly before bed, and try not to wear it every day - your skin needs to breathe

Question: When do you start your winter skin care routine and what is a good skin care routine for winter? Like most people's skin my skin gets tighter because of the cold air in winter. I live in the UK, so it rains a lot too. What is a good skin care routine to keep nice skin over winter and when should I start it?
Answer: Change your moisturizer to a thick and more hydrating one.
Also, I like to use a moisture mask about 1-3 times per week in the winter.
Question: What skin care product should i used to wash my face? I'm a 21 year old man, the skin on my nose keeps on breaking out, and completely drying out. What product should i used to take care of this and wash my face.
Answer: To cleanse your face, I think you should use a product called Nutri-Pure. It's from GARNIER. It makes your face really clean and makes your skin look smooth&pure
Question: What skin care product would you recommend for 12 to 15 year olds who have acne and black heads? Which skin care product is the best such as Neutrogena, Biore, or Pro Activ. I was also wondering if The Wave really worked because I've heard good and bad things about it.
Answer: Neutrogena ALL thee way!!! I have the Wave, it works AMAZINGLY. My skin is SOOOO soft after. I definitely recommend it because it is only 12 dollars! After though, make sure you use a toner to remove all the dirt and make-up after washing your face, you'd be amazed about how much is still on after washing your face. Finally, use a moisturizer with an SPF of 15. This will protect your skin from the very harmful sun and keep it feeling soft all day. Do these procedures twice a day and you'll skin will be awesome. Make sure you exfoliate your skin with an exfoliater, do not use Apricot Scrub because it contains shells which wear away your skin layers. Use something with gentle beads, make sure to exfoliate because our skin sheds every 7 days and if you don't clean it away, it will clog your pores.
Hope to Help and good luck! =]
Question: What is the best skin care product on the market? My skin seems to be acting up a little bit due to the weather. I have fairly normal skin, not excessively oily or dry. What's the best product to keep away blemishes? I wash my face everyday in the shower with Wet and Wild skin care, but that's obviously not working. Thanks!
Answer: if you want something form a drugstore buy clean and clear continuous control cleanser with the clean and clear advantage oil-free moisturizer. another thing you can do is go with all natural cleansers. try zyporex, its all natural and just for acne. it gives you a really clean feeling. natural can be the best thing because it doesnt contain harsh chemicals that can irritate your face rather than help.
Question: What skin care product to use for dry skin? My forehead and nose are ridiculously dry, to the point of peeling. But I have topical acne (Not the deep kind) along my jawline and under my cheek bones. I'm trying to find a good skin care regimen that will treat my acne without drying out my skin even more than it already is. Any suggestions?
Answer: Well, i am a huge fan of clinique. I have always had acne, and I started using clinique moisturizers ad clinique even better or turnaround concentrates, and I've seen a huge improvement. Their moisturizers are not greasy. They are matte or gel like so they even out your skin tone, make it very smooth, and dont get oily and shiny. I love them. After I got on accutane, which cleared up my acne but made my skin very very dry, clinique was soooo great. I would recommend the moisture surge gel- its fantastic.
I have tried others like Murad, Cetaphil, Burts bees, lancome, etc...and clinique has been my favorite.
Question: What is a good skin care routine for a young teenager? I'm 13 years old and I live in Australia. I have combination skin and get minor blackheads, whiteheads and blemishes around and on my nose. Sometimes I might get them on my chin or forehead. I need a good skin care routine that has three steps (cleanse, tone, moisturise) that is gentle and won't burn or irritate my skin. Can you help? Please list names of products and brands. No homemade remedies or recipes, just products I can purchase at Coles or Priceline. Thanks.
Answer: kk, first of all i might mention that you really only need a toner if your skin needs an extra clean or is oily which you do but usually a cleanser does the job. I have the same skin as you and this is what i use: i have two cleansers, at night i use Benzac AC wash, at frst that will burn and make your skin peel but mine soon got used to so if you want stay away from it, its about $15 and you can get it at any chemist or priceline. The morning cleanser i use and i stand by it for our skin its Formula 10.0.6 cleanser and its so gentle and makes your skin less oily right away. i dont own a toner myself but id try formula 10.0.6 aswell for that. for my moisturiser im currently using cliniques stuff so its abit pricey but i used to use Olay Complete Defence Moisturiser, which is great for sensitive skin and if your just starting out plus it has spf.
Now the other stuff i use i swear has helped clear me up and its St Ives Blackhead and Blemish Control, it will help remove your blackheads, use it every three nights. Another i use after i use the blackhead control is a mudmask, i use Formula 10.0.6 mudmask in the orange container and im soon going to use the one in the green and its for oily skin, its so good and really removes imputities. i also use a spot treatment from formula 10.0.6
Just thought id mention Formla 10.0.6 is really cheap too and its good cause it works, its at priceline. ill get links up for all products ive mentioned.

Question: What is the best skin care to use for dry sensitive skin? Looking for a new skin care range for dry sensitive skin, in the mid price range. I need a cleanser, toner and moistouriser. What could you reccommend? Please dont say clinique as i dont suit their skin care, and olay brings me out in a rash. Can you reccommend anything other than that? Cheers xxx
Answer: try the nivia range. i have sensitive skin and i use the nivia for men range. also if your hands are drying out and sore. remember to wear rubber gloves when doing the washing up or any cleaning when you are using chemicals/products of some sort.
Question: What are some skin care companies that have independent consultant programs similar to Avon? I am interested in looking into skin care/beauty companies that offer a sales rep program (personal discounts + commission on sales).
What are the names of some I could look into?
I am a licensed esthetician and am looking into different opportunities. I'm also interested in skin care product lines that are hiring regional consultants as well.
Answer: Mary Kay and Arbonne are two of the biggest.
Question: What is the best skin care regimine for someone entering their 30s? I'm turning 30 soon, and have never really done the whole skin care thing other than washing my face in the shower. Now I'd like to start trying to take better care of my skin.
I have normal to combination skin that is prone to break outs on my forehead and chin. Very fine lines and dark circles under my eyes.
Answer: The best thing I could say is keep your face, neck and chest HYDRATED! and wear sunscreen on all those areas including your hands. Your hands and neck age 10 years before anything else. Try getting a facial or even a mini-facial as soon as you can and often
as you can. This will allow the products that you use to be more active because of removing the dead skin that ly in the fine lines and pores. If you are just using soap to wash your face, trade that in for some cleanser that wipes away impurities without overdrying. As for the breakouts that occur, keep an eye on what you eat. Try to cut down or stop dairy products. That should help your chin. If you are eating late at night or snacking late at night, you are not digesting like you should and that might be causing your forehead breakouts. Good luck on your venture. It is a life long committment but well worth it.
Question: What is the best skin care routine you have tried as a teen? I am currently using the clinique 3 step and i think it is pretty good but the moisturizer is a bit iffy. so i am looking for another skin care routine to replace what i have now.
i have combination skin, with breakouts on my forehead mostly. the clinique has minimized my breakouts but not eliminated them.
i have tried aveeno products and they don't work that well.
Also, i am 16 so is it reasonable to be using higher end skin care items?
Answer: there was a point where i broakout all over my face and neck. inorder to get rid of it (including blackheads) i used cream with the little scrub balls apply scrub with hot water then after scrub with cold, and during the day i would just wipe my face with clean&clear oil absorbing sheets. those take away all the extra oil on the face.
Question: What is the best skin care products for oily skin? I'm about to go to the store and I want to know what skin care products work best for oily skin.
Around my mouth my skin is very dry, though, so if you know of a good moisturizer that would be great too.
Answer: Ok... I know it sounds weird... but here is my routine...
I went out and bought a cleanser that advertises that it "fights oil." I find that alot of products advertise that they "won't dry you out" and "get rid of dead skin." But I guess oily skin isn't that common, because I need some SERIOUS help. Fortunately, I don't get too many breakouts or blemishes, I get so shiny during the day, that I can wipe my fingers across my forehead, and my fingers will be shiny! I've recently been doing something odd though... but it seems to be working,
At night before bed, I just use the cleanser that I bought (I buy a different one every time, to see which one I like - but my favorite so far is Biore's "ICE CLEANSER" or "shine control" - they're in green bottles with a pump on the top). I get dry around the mouth and corners of my nose too - I just rub some moisturizer ON THOSE AREAS. Moisturizer tends to make me even more oily, and I have read online many times, that it's best to only use a minimal amount, on areas that NEED it. I've been experimenting with an uncommon product lately though. Toothpaste. Just dab it on any blemishes you may have.
BUT in the daytime, like when getting ready for work (just ONCE a day)... I wash my face with toothpaste... I know, I can picture your face. It's weird. But I suggest that you try it at least once. Just rub it on, avoiding your eyes, and try to build up a lather. Then, without water, use a small amount of your face soap and wash it off. Rinse. It is the coolest feeling ever. It makes your skin feel GREAT. Don't do it too often though, because it can dry you out too much. But seriously, even if you don't pick this as best answer TRY IT TRY IT TRY IT. It's awesome.
I've had oily skin forever. And nothing helps me. Even things like toners and astringent seem to make it worse, and I dunno why! Lemme know if it works for you too! :)
As for makeup - powder is great to eliminate shine. Also, if when you go into a bathroom, check yourself in a mirror - if you see shine building up, simply press a paper towel up to your face. LOOK AT IT. It absorbs the oil right off of your skin. This works wonders.
