Question: What is the nutrition value of avocado skin and pit? I heard during Vitamix blender presentation in Costco that it's good to put avocado pit and skin into blender as well.

Was there any research done about skin and pits?
Are they really good source of nutrition?

Answer: Fiber - and no, the only way you can eat the skin is if you grow it yourself and they are the burpless kind, then it's yummy.

Answer: They're hetereotrophs, all right.
You excrete a lot of interesting organic chemicals through your sweat glands. It's all food for the bacteria.

Answer: Your body secretes oils through your skin all day long and when they build up into your pours, they cause pimples. I don't have a problem with acne but i wash my face about 4 to 5 times a day. There are prescription medications you can use like Brevoxyl and Benzaclin that help with acne. As far as food, you can eat healthier, lots of vegetables, fruits and a little grain will go a long way. Healthier foods help with good skin complexion by putting in the vitamins and minerals your body uses, including your skin. Answer: This is a very complex question. I can't answer it completely without a lot of research, but this is what pops into mind:
The type and amount of pigment (melanin) in your skin is determined genetically and enhanced by exposure to the sun.
Normal hormonal fluctuations can affect skin pigment, such as the mask of pregnancy (melasma). Some diseases and conditions affect pigment, including yellow jaundice from blood cell breakdown or orange pigmentation from excess carotene in the diet. And of course anemic people tend to be pale, but I don't think that qualifies as "pigmentation".

Answer: A six pack showing through has a lot to do with your body fat percentage. Take protein after working out your core, not just your abs, and do a lot of cardio.

Answer: to a certain extent it is. if you have naturally good skin and you dont have a good diet your skin can become dull or greasy, but if you have a skin disprder or are a teenager or something like that and have acne or a blushing problem or rosacea then good nutrition can slightly keep it at bay, but not prevent flareups entirely
