Question: What is recommended dosage of Vitamin E capsule for acne and scars? I was just wondering what UI i should get for acne. I have seen some people get 200IU or 400IU and I just checked and saw mine was only 100IU. So can you take too much Vitamin E and it will make it will have negative effects and what is a recommended amount to take?
Answer: dude get some proactive maybe that would help with your ugly face. you really need to get a life and go to talk to your doc about what you should use on your face he may tell you he has something for you if your lucky or he might say theres nothing for you ugly face and at that point you may need some major help.
Question: Does taking a bunch of vitamin A cure acne? I have been told that the drug to treat acne ACUTANE is just a high concentracion of vitamin A. Can taking high amounts of vitamin A be the same?
Answer: No. As someone previously stated, too much vitamin A can cause damage. Vitamin A is good for you, but only in healthy doses.
Acutane is a prescription drug with specific dosage guidelines.
Question: Is it alright to apply mederma or vitamin e to my acne scars while my face is still breaking out? Hi, I've only recently suffered from acne. I'm 15, i would say my acne is moderate. That said, i have already started to produce some acne scars that are quite significant. Right now i am applying vitamin e to the scars, while also applying acne gel to the active acne. is this alright? i read somewhere that you should only start treating your acne scars once you are totally finished breaking out. Is this true? or should i just continue on treating my acne scars?
Answer: you should stop. your skin can react to the mederma and cause more breakouts! just wait till your skin is clear . what better? a few scars on your face for a while [which not much people care about] or a crazy amount of acne on your face? good luck!
Question: Do aloe vera and vitamin E really eliminate acne scars? I have bad acne scars and I've heard the vitamin E and aloe vera can, when applied onto the scars, help them fade and even go away completely. Is this true? It sounds too good to be true haha, especially considering my doctor told me I would have to wait for surgery to remove my acne scars. Also, how long should I expect the vitamin E/ aloe vera to completely remove the scars, if this is even possible? Finally, which is more effective, the vitamin E or the aloe vera?
Answer: THEY do work :D vitamin E oil is more effective
i use it cuz im....clumsy and i get lots of scars
Question: How long till acne pit goes away with vitamin e? I use vitamin e on this acne pit and it has been getting better, thank god! :) but how long till it completly goes away?
Answer: I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.
Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem dot com at the time which was helpful.
You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.
Well good luck and best wishes.
Question: Has anyone tried taking Vitamin A for acne? I'm taking about 50,000IU a day. Half of the A I'm taking is beta carotene, which is supposed to be safer than just taking regular vitamin A. The other half is plain old vitamin A. I know too much is toxic for you but I've read an article by a doctor and he said you can safely take up to 100,000IU a day. Dermatologists have told me my acne is not severe enough to use Accutane and I've tried Proactiv and antibiotics which have done nothing for me. I've been doing this vitamin A regimen for a little over 2 weeks, with a tiny bit of improvement. Maybe I should up the dosage? Any feedback on this would be appreciated. Thanks!
Answer: I had a friend with acne who was told by a derm that her situation wasn't "severe" enough for Accutane. She got another opinion and found a derm who put her on Accutane, and it worked like a charm. If I recall correctly, she didn't take the Accutane that long because her condition was not very bad, so she wasn't even on the medication that long and she said it worked great.
If you are concerned about your acne, find a dermatologist who would be willing to put you on Accutane. It's a great drug for acne and can prevent scarring problems down the road. For milder cases, you may just not need to use it for as long a time.
Your dosages of A sound awfully high. I'd stick with clinically proven methods like Accutane and the like before going with over-the-counter stuff that hasn't been shown in clinical trials to work.
Question: Which is better for acne? Vitamin E cream or Vitamin E tablets? Which is better for severe acne, and scarring?
Answer: Using both Vitamin A and Vitamin E tablets internally will help to break up acne. I would start with treating internally. Then use vitamin E tablets for topical use by breaking open the capsule with a pin and apply evenly in a thin layer. Use pure E oil not a cream that could have many other "fillers" that might irritate your skin.
If the oil makes your skin worse by clogging the pores then I would steam your face before application and use a mixture of tea tree oil and E.
Good luck!!
Question: Using both Vitamin A and Vitamin E tablets internally will help to break up acne,...what about Scars? i have scars on my right of face ......and i use Zinc for acne
Vitamin E really works on acne scars too
Answer: It is quite possible.
There are many treatments of ACNE and you may benefit from a particular one
Question: Can vitamin E cause acne from too much oil? I sometimes put Vitamin E on my face like the ones in the little capsules to help my acne scars but I just want to make sure it isn't causing my acne? Is it too much oil or something? and does vitamin e really work in healing acne scars?
Answer: My advise is alternate vitamin E use with spot corrector like an intense whitener. I use Garnier spot corrector pen as it is gentle enough for my skin (I have sensitive skin) and still gets dark spots off.
You can also use vitamin E first and then dab on the spot corrector over it. This method is better as daily application will reduce scars within a month.
Best thing of course is to reduce scars. Make sure you have short nails if you squeeze your pimples so less scarring. Be aware of what food types make you break out and eat less or stop eating it.
For me, consuming milk and butter used to cause whiteheads which used to scar my face not badly but very frequently. So I used to have many red spots all over my face. I had to use concealer all the time. Now I completely cut dairy off my diet and whiteheads have reduced by 90%.
For the occassional whitehead, I make sure my nails are really short before I squeeze it off.

Question: Are acne problems related to vitamin deficiencies? I heard this from some of my friends and researched it online is it true. I am 32 and still suffering from acne like I was a teen. if anyone has had this problem as an adult and vitamins worked let me know what kind and how many I/U's per day. I am pretty sure my doctor won't tell me because most of them (not all) are out for the money.

Question: Will taking Vitamin C and Zinc supplements help acne? My acne isn't servere. I have quite a few pimples around my chin area and on my forehead. They are usually very red and inflamed. I have been taking Vitamin C for a couple of weeks now and I have noticed an improvement in my skin. I heard Zinc can be beneficial also and result in healthier, acne free skin.
Will taking both these supplements help? What are the advantages and disadvantages?
Thanks.
Answer: Advantages - apparently vitamin C might be helping your skin condition. Zinc is listed in helping skin problems
Disadvantages - Both have serious side effects if used in high doses or for too long. Keep the C down to 1000 mg a day and the zinc at 15 mg per day. Use both for no more than a couple of weeks.
Question: Does vitamin E applied directly on the face cause acne breakouts? I read that applying vitamin E on your skin is good for the face, but wouldn't it cause acne breakouts since it's an oil? How much should I apply?
Answer: No, Vitamin E oil doesn't, it's a natural oil and stops your skin producing as much oil itself. The kind of oil that clogs your pores is called mineral oil (think vaseline).
