Adults
Question: Adults.......? ...do you still have any stuffed animals on your bed?
What is the significance of them?
Answer: Not on my bed, but I have a teddy bear on my dresser. It was my husband's when he was a baby. He had a twin brother and they were born early and his brother died at birth and my husband would cry all the time when he was tiny until they bought that bear to put next to him because he missed his brother. It sat in a box forever until I sat it out. I think it kind of embarrasses my husband, though, when I tell people the story. He needs to blame his mom, though, because she's the one that told me.

Question: What did adults and children in the ghettos do during the Holocaust? What did the adults and children in the ghettos do in their free time? Please give answers along with website you found the answer on.
thanks!
Answer: WHAT "free time"?
the only way to get food- ANY food- was to work. People would fight to get on the work gangs and be allowed to do any - even the heaviest- work.
the alternative was to sell anything one had- and buy food. Or to cross the wall and beg or steal food (and the people on the 'aryan" side were not well fed either). The penalty for giving food to a Jew was death. The penalty for hiding a Jew was the death of the whole family.
Sources? I am from Poland. My folks lived (barely) through these times

Question: How often are adults corrupted by the adult life surrounding them? I know a girl on campus, beautiful girl but has the sexual energy of a preforming rabbit! There's all these adults around her, living appropriate adult lives, everything starts innocently. People with matured and adult social skills ask her what's up, speak with her, it all seems innocent enough. Even if their trying to get laid, that's just adult life...
What seems to be happening though is that in conception of adult in adult world the adult individual is becoming polluted in the adult world.
She seems to be banging everyone and she has a boyfriend.
Answer: I have been an adult for more years than I care to rememember and I have never been corrupted by an other adult. This must be a new thing is it? Or is it just people with very weak characters that let themselves be corrupted~~~~~~~~~~~~~~.

Question: How is imparting elementary education to adults different from educating kids? While trying to teach adults, what variation should one bring in the structure and order of lessons. Should one spend more time relating what we teach to real life examples, as adults have a greater range of experiences as compared to children.
Answer: Curriculum Design
1. Adult learners tend to be less interested in, and enthralled by, survey courses. They tend to prefer single concept, single-theory courses that focus heavily on the application of the concept to relevant problems. This tendency increases with age.
2. Adults need to be able to integrate new ideas with what they already know if they are going to keep - and use - the new information.
3. Information that conflicts sharply with what is already held to be true, and thus forces a re-evaluation of the old material, is integrated more slowly.
4. Information that has little "conceptual overlap" with what is already known is acquired slowly.
5. Fast-paced, complex or unusual learning tasks interfere with the learning of the concepts or data they are intended to teach or illustrate.
6. Adults tend to compensate for being slower in some psychomotor learning tasks by being more accurate and making fewer trial-and-error ventures.
7. Adults tend to take errors personally and are more likely to let them affect self-esteem. Therefore, they tend to apply tried-and-true solutions and take fewer risks.
8. The curriculum designer must know whether the concepts or ideas will be in concert or in conflict with the learner. Some instruction must be designed to effect a change in belief and value systems.
9. Programs need to be designed to accept viewpoints from people in different life stages and with different value "sets."
10. A concept needs to be "anchored" or explained from more than one value set and appeal to more than one developmental life stage.
11. Adults prefer self-directed and self-designed learning projects over group-learning experiences led by a professional, they select more than one medium for learning, and they desire to control pace and start/stop time.
12. Nonhuman media such as books, programmed instruction and television have become popular with adults in recent years.
13. Regardless of media, straightforward how-to is the preferred content orientation. Adults cite a need for application and how-to information as the primary motivation for beginning a learning project.
14. Self-direction does not mean isolation. Studies of self-directed learning indicate that self-directed projects involve an average of 10 other people as resources, guides, encouragers and the like. But even for the self-professed, self-directed learner, lectures and short seminars get positive ratings, especially when these events give the learner face-to-face, one-to-one access to an expert.

Question: How do dogs know the difference between adults and kids? How do dogs know the difference between adults and kids? I have seen dogs tolerate and continue to play with a child even after the child (baby) tugged on them. If an adult did this, then they would risk being bitten by the dog.
Answer: When a kid does stuff like that it is considered play full and all because they are smaller, have a slight different smell and usually are eye level making the dog feel even or dominant towards the child. When an adult does something like that, the dog is more cautious towards it because an adult is so much taller and has a stronger smell telling the dog that they are not able to give their own smell to the adult by rubbing on them or stuff like that because the adults smell is already strong enough.
Question: What food to serve adults at a kids birthday party? I'm having a birthday party for my 2 year old tomorrow. The party will be from 10-1. I've got appetizers down and the kids are going to make their own small pizzas. What should I have for the adults for lunch?
I thought about doing pizzas for the adults too but I won't be able to fit them all in the oven at once.
I think I am going to do a sandwich platter. Jimmy John's does them and they deliver! Thanks!
Answer: why not let the adults make their pizzas too. It will be great when the kids see the healthy things that the moms are putting on their pizzas. I think it would be a great way for the parents to work with their kids.
