Question: Are natural antioxidants found in foods and drinks bad for you and how? Also what are they for, and where else are they commonly found other than snapples and teas?
Answer: Let’s start with a little background information first. Just like rust on a car, oxidation can damage our bodies’ cells and may contribute to the aging process. Oxidation happens as the result of invading, damaging molecules called free radicals. Free radicals are unstable oxygen molecules that get into the body as a result of over-exercise, stress, being exposed to dirty air and other environmental pollutants.
Antioxidants help prevent oxidation by counteracting free radicals. They do this by binding to them and transforming them into non-damaging compounds. Consequently, antioxidants are integral in supporting the body’s natural defense system.I take a product called Vemma.....its literally the most powerful antioxidant on the market. I found a site for you if you wanna read up =)

Question: why does natural antioxidants are better UV absorber and act as sunscreen materials?
Answer: A very simple way to protect adhesives against UV light is to prevent UV absorption, i.e. reducing the amount of light absorbed by chromophores. This can be achieved by incorporating UV absorbers in the adhesives, which function by preferentially absorbing harmful ultraviolet radiation and dissipating it as thermal energy.
Such stabilizers function according to the Beer Lambert law, which specifies that the amount of UV radiation absorbed is a function of both sample thickness and stabilizer concentration.
Residual light that does penetrate the skin can create free radicals – highly reactive molecules that can weaken or destroy cell membranes. Free radicals can also damage DNA, create age spots and wrinkles, and depress the immune system, increasing the risk of skin cancer.
The addition of antioxidants could significantly reduce the generation of free radicals.Effectiveness of three antioxidants: vitamin E acetate, vitamin E alcohol and sodium ascorbyl phosphate (stable vitamin C).
Question: Natural antioxidants for getting THC out of your system? Can someone name some of them? Maybe certain kinds of food or drinks.
Answer: Fruit pectin and lots of water. Fruit pectin is the stuff used to thicken jams and jellies. You can find it at any good super market. Also there's lots of sites that offer "legal herbs" which also sell pretty good detoxifying potions. Still the fruit pectin never failed me yet. All you need is 72 hours, drink 2 teaspoons in 12 oz glass of water 3 times a day before the test.
Question: Is it OK for people to start taking antioxidant supplement from their 20s? Younger people tend to have better immune system, so would it decrease the effect of antioxidant supplement in the later on life by taking them now from a young age?(P.S the antioxidant I'm talking about are in natural form, ie. Grapeseed exact, lyceopene etc.)
Answer: Absolutely! Those antioxidants you mentioned are specifically recommended for adults, not children. Antioxidants are fantastic for people of any age starting as soon as an infant's first sippy cup of apple juice ;-)
Antioxidants help to protect your cells from free radical damage up until the end, so those would be a very good choice for you. There are a lot of people that prefer to get their nutrition from the pure foods and that is the most ideal way to get your nutrition. Those supplements are exactly that... supplements to your daily diet. In other words, if your diet isn't sufficient, these can help to give you what you're lacking. Good luck!

Answer: Eat orange peels - they have a high content of vitamins - more than the fruit inside. Also eat whole fruits instead of getting the juice version for maintaining high vitamin content. Steam vegetables / dont over cook- that kills the vitamins- Also the water you cook vegetables in has a lot of the vitamins leak out of the food into it- so you could drink it/use it for soup etc.. if you want to utilize all those vitamins in it. Another thing that is high in antioxidants is tea .. whole tea leaves or roots.. all the various kinds, but esp. white/green tea and roibos tea (which is really a root grown in S.Africa)
Question: Does anyone have a natural remedy for an upper respiratory infection? My cat is sick and I don't have all that money to have the vet do x-rays and tests. The one vet told me to put her in the bathroom and let the hot water create steam to open her airways.
I got a dropper and was feeding her chicken soup and I put some alpha lipoic acid (vitamin) in it. It is a powerful antioxidant. Any other suggestions?
Answer: she is going to need antibiotics to get over it, the steam will help but it's not going get your cat over it. a vet will just examine your cat and perscribe some antibiotics so it's not going to be as expencive as you think.

Question: Did you guys know this fact about skin care? You may not be able to afford a total bath tub full of milk and honey as Cleopatra was reported to use, but you certainly can afford a cup. Mix half a cup of full cream milk with a tablespoon of honey. Dab onto your face with a soft cloth and soak your hands in the remaining liquid. This is a skin care beauty product known since the Pharaohs ruled ancient Egypt. They may not have known that honey has natural antioxidant properties which help to exfoliate the skin, but they did know that it made Cleopatra look beautiful.
Answer: I've heard something about Cleopatra before but I didn't know that.
I guess I should try making a facial mask of full cream milk and honey!
Thanks for the fact :)
Question: Is All Green Tea good for you including Arizona? I read an article that green tea was good for you and it had natural antioxidants in it. I noticed Fuze brand green tea claims this on the bottle and it has all these vitamins and stuff. Does Arizona tea have the same antioxidants and does it have vitamins in it even though it doesn't say it on the label? The reason I am asking is because Arizona is so much better tasting.
Answer: The best green tea is freshly brewed green tea. You will get the most health benefits this way. I would stay away from bottled and canned green teas just because they have so much added to them like flavors and sugars. Another great thing about freshly brewed tea is that it has zero calories. Bottled and canned teas can carry almost as much calories as soda. Brew a fresh cup and enjoy!
