please DON'T send me just a website
Answer: Information is below.
Question: What is the best certification to get as a web developer? JAVASCRIPT certification or HTML certification or ASP certification? Pls which will be the best and WHY?
Answer: This is a fairly vague question and really the best certification depends on your skill-set.
HTML Certification - If I were to go near this, I would opt for XHTML and CSS because these are the latest Web 2.0 markup languages that are used in industry today. However, a certification in this area would certify you as a designer rather than a developer.
JavaScript Certification - This is a client-side scripting language, JavaScript typically lives within the HTML/XHTML and can be very powerful in manipulating your web pages. A certification in JavaScript would be better than HTML, but obviously the prerequisit would be to know HTML.
ASP Certification - I would deffinately recommend a certification in Microsoft ASP.NET as this is deffinately a developer area. Prerequisits, you need to learn and understand either VB.NET and/or C#, and optionally, JavaScript will help.
WHY: Because it will enable you to build very robust and powerful websites. It is also a fairly new technology, and in demand, and you will be working on the cutting edge (if you so wish). Because of these factors, you will also earn a larger salary over the other certifications.
Microsoft offer certifications starting at "Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist", to become a certified TS ASP.NET Developer you must take two exams, 70-536 (Application Development Foundation) and 70-562 (ASP.NET Application Development).
Question: Which version of oracle certification should i take to become a DBA and apply for H1B visa? Hi there
I did my bachelors in Computer Science from Bangladesh. I have no experience in IT field. I am planning to do Oracle certification. Will i be eligible to get work permit in USA,Canada or Australia just having the certification without working experience in oracle? Which version of Oracle Certification would be better for me to get H1B visa or help me to migrate in Australia or Canada? Which version of Oracle are most companies using in USA,Canada and Australia?
Thanks for your anticipated assistance.
Answer: Currently the Oracle Database version is 11g, but most companies are currently running version 9i and 10g, so I suggest you target 10g.
You can take an exam to become a "Oracle Certified Professional" and that helps separate you from the crowd.
As far as the H1B side, you are better off to get hired in India by a US company then you can travel to the US on a limited visa and then apply to transfer to the US.

Question: How important is a networking certification for a career in the same? I am an MCA sem-I student and was planning to go for a networking certification namely CCNA. I want to know whether it is really mandatory to get such a certification in order to make a career in networking? As an MCA student, can I look for job opportunities in telecom? How good is it?
Answer: Many employers are indifferent to certifications, and would always prefer to hire actual hands-on experience. But when you don't have that, the certification can be the next best thing. Good luck!
Question: What is the difference between certification and licensure in regards to nursing? I am doing a paper on Critical Care Nursing certification and was wondering what the difference is between certification and licensure. Thanks in advance for any help.
Answer: After you complete nursing school you pass the exam and get your nursing licence. If you want to specialize in the critical care area you would further your education by getting your Critical Care Nursing certificate. This obtained by attending curses at a teaching institution that offers it and can take several months to complete. The certificate is of benefit to any nurse wishing to work in ICU,CCU or a PACU unit.
All nurses are licensed, certification sometimes refers to extra education related to the specialty they work in.
Question: What is the most legitamate certification for a personal trainer? Im in the process of becoming a personal trainer, but my main issue is that there are too many certifications to choose from. I need to know how to sift through them to find the most creditable certification available.
Answer: Dear Bradley
You are absolutely right. There are hundreds of certification out there. The factor that sets certification companies apart is to have a third body accreditation. One of the highest in the industry is NCCA/NOCA. I do not know the exact number but its somewhere around 5 certification companies that have that particular accrediation. To be honest, to narrow it down further becomes more difficult. Some are good certifications companies. Years back when I first got into the industry I shopped around just like you are. I narrowed it down to three. ACSM , but they required a masters degree in exercise physiology and they focused on cardiac rehabilitation. The second NSCA but they required a degree and they were more for professional sports conditioning coaches. And finally IFPA, I found that they really focused on what a personal trainer really goes through on a daily basis. There study materials and test are extremely practical for what a trainer really needs to know. I also looked at another well known cert NASM, but it really changed after Dr. Goldman sold it to a group of phyical therapists, they turned it into a pt cert. and after 24hr fitness bought them, they got even worse.
The IFPA also has some great people working for them. The customer service is the best in the industry and there faculty instuctors are the best in the world. No matter how many times I have called asking questions, I have always gotten great help. The advice I have gotten from them in the past is worth many times what I paid for in my cert.
The bottom line however, is that you will be wasting your money if you get any cert that is not NCCA/NOCA accreddited because gyms wont accept it. The knowledge you get from the IFPA will also help you build a successful career. Your cert should be more than just a peice of paper. It should prepare you for a profession.
I hope this info helps you. Good Luck,
Marc
Question: What is the best route to getting a GIS certification? My wife would like to get her GIS certification. She has about 5 years of experience with obtaining, researching, and analyzing topographical maps with an environmental company. Having just been laid off she would like to get her GIS certification. Should she take 12 hours at a local community college (1 semester) or can she simply get it online though a place such as 'GIS certification institute.' Given our slowly but surely diminishing bank account would a GIS certification from an online 'school' be almost as good as if it came from a community college given her experience?
Answer: Taking a course at a college won't get you a certification, just education and credits to apply towards a geography major. Some colleges may have a series of courses and offer a certificate or emphasis program.
There are seminars, about 4-12 hours over 1 or 2 days, put on by the makers of the GIS software and they cost in the $400 range last I checked. ESRI offers an online course as well.
Question: What training / certification do I need to become a dog groomer? I'm thinking of starting my own dog grooming business. I groom my own dog, and some for friends. This is something that I really enjoy. I'm wondering what certification I should have, how much money will I need for the start up costs, etc.
I'm planning on doing this out of my finished basement. It's about 1000 sq ft of mostly open unused space right now.
Any tips from someone who's been there would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: Groomers, if and when they are licensed, will be licensed by each state, and presumably each state will have its own requirements. I've been grooming for 15 years now and this has been an on-going issue that will not be resolved soon.
The first thing you need to do is make sure you don't have zoning laws or deed restrictions that would prohibit you from having a home business. You don't want to go to a lot of trouble and expense only to be shut down and possibly fined.
You didn't say what breed of dog you have so I don't know what kind of skills you may have acquired doing your own dog. You really need to try to talk with a groomer in your area (not one in your town that you might become competition for) or look for groomers' groups on the net that you could join. Yahoo Groups has one that I am familiar with that might be a good starting point.
Good luck.
Question: Is a certification more important than a college degree when it comes to computer networking? I hear some people say don't go to college for that and to just get a certification.
I mean I hear some people say don't get a degree in that and to just get a certification
Answer: I work with several people who had forgone getting a degree and simply attained the CCIE Certification (Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert). Starting salary for anyone holding the CCIE cert and a little experience is up to 100k. My coworker is currently earning 150k+ at 27.
The CCIE however, is no ordinary certification. It represents the highest level of knowledge and expertise attainable in the computer networking field. Expect to spend thousands of dollars on training equipment and YEARS studying for it. Speaking with the guys in my office, they say they pretty much forced themselves to read/practice for 2-3 hours every day, for a year or two, in order to pass the exam.
The typical path and time required to get a CCIE:
CCNA (3-6 months) => CCNP (1-2 years) => CCIE R&S(2-4 years)
The road is long and costly. But, if you have the dedication and means to pursue this certification, the rewards are exemplary.
Question: Is there any kind of certification relating to birds that I could get? Obviously, there is the option of majoring in Ornithology and Avian Sciences, which I am planning to do, but I am wondering if there is anything else I can do, more short-term. I have heard of birder/birdwatcher certification as well as some sort of ornithology certification but I cannot find information on them any further. Any recommendations?
Answer: I have never heard of any sort of birdwatcher/birder certificate before. Sure, the Cornell course looks like it will give you a good start in studying ornithology, but it will not get you any paid jobs working with birds. A degree AND hands-on experience are a MUST for this career. I suggest you you try and do some volunteer work or internships with local organizations. Contact your local Audubon to see if they have anything. You might be able to volunteer at a (MAPS) bird banding station. I also suggest getting out there and doing lots of birdwatching so that your field ID skills are up to par. Especially being able to recognize different bird songs. Audubon can help with this too as most chapters offer monthly birdwalks.
Question: What good is a well certification when buying a home? We required a well certification when we offered to purchase a home with a well and a pond, but now that there is a problem, The certifier says the well certification just means that the well pump worked the day he checked it. The problem is because one of the new wires he put in burned and now the pump isn't working. We are now looking at the expense of pulling the pump up out of the ground for repair or replacement. We haven't even moved in yet!
Answer: I think you have legal recourse against him.. Read your contract to be sure.. If in doubt seek legal counsel..
