Question: What chemicals are imbalanced in the brain when you have anxiety? My therapist told me the chemical that produces anxiety overloads the brain and then the other chemicals are blocked and not able to do there jobs or something like that. Can someone tell me what the chemicals are called and maybe some natural ways to take away the anxiety chemicals and replenish the other ones? Maybe a better explanation of it? I tried to look it up, but couldn't really find what I was looking for online.
Thanks!
I looked into Seratonin if I increase that will it help the anxiety then?
Answer: My friends, family and I have personally found a lot of success with Seredyn. It's an all-natural supplement designed to help with symptoms of anxiety and panic attacks. The main active ingredients are L-Theanine, Passion Flower, and Valerian. You can learn more about the Seredyn formula at http://www.seredyn.com/formula.html
Here's a link that talks about how Seredyn works - http://www.seredyn.com/index_works.html
Try Google-ing "Alternative Medication for Anxiety" - It seems like there's some good info there about how to naturally overcome anxiety symptoms without prescription medications.
Start there and continue learning about different alternatives. Everyone's different, so the best long-term approach is to continuing to educate yourself and find what works best for you.
Hopefully this information is of some help. All the best!
Question: When chemicals are used to control unwanted organisms, then the wisest application strategy, in light of natur? When chemicals are used to control unwanted organisms, then the wisest application strategy, in light of natural selection and assuming that chemicals generally have negative effects on the environment, is to apply
A)a large dose of a single chemical.
B)a small dose of a single chemical.
C)a moderate dose of a single chemical.
D)large doses of several different chemicals.
E)moderate doses of several different chemicals.
Answer: I would say E) moderate doses of several chemicals.
Natural selection will allow for mutants to emerge, especially if you give just one dose of a single chemical. If you apply multiple chemicals at the same time, the chance that a mutant arises that is resistant to all these chemicals is very small. In light of the negative effect of the chemicals on the environment, you would choose moderate doses instead of large.
Hope that was helpful.
Question: What chemicals released in the brain cause certain moods? Hi there,
I am trying to find out whether a persons state of mind can be put down to a certain chemical eg.
Release of "Chemical X" causes happiness.
Release of "Chemical Y" causes interest.
Release of "Chemical Z" causes anger.
I realise that although these "moods" may be triggered by chemicals, it is also largely down to environmental factors too.
My question is, does anybody have the specific names for chemicals x, y and z as an example. Or a list of chemicals, which, when released cause a certain feeling.
Thanks in advance.
Answer: Serotonin controls the balance between how happy and sad you are, well that's putting it simply. Dopamine makes you feel happy but in large amounts upsets the serotonin balance. Adrenaline makes you concentrate, increases blood pressure, is a painkiller and as a side effect generally makes you feel happy.Oestrogen (also known as Estrogen) is generally a female hormone though is also found in males. It causes rapid mood changes, generally makes people feel low, depressed and/or angry.
By the way Endorphins don't really make you feel happy or sad, they are just natural painkillers that often make give you a sense of 'well-being' when released. In effect they cause a short term happiness.
Question: Why synthetic chemicals have been used to replace some chemicals from natural sources in flavour and industry? Nowadays synthetic chemicals have been used to replace some chemicals from natural sources in flavour and fragrance and industry. Why is that?
Answer: They mostly are cheaper and it is possible to produce them in just the needed quantity and time.
Natural sources are influenced by weather, flowering time, soil etc.
But very often the synthetic essential oils f.e. don`t have the same quality, for it`s impossible to imitate the natural composition.
Question: What chemicals do I really need to purchase to close my pool? I have a 24 foot above ground pool and I want to close it soon. I see ads in the catalogs trying to sell packages which cost almost $100 for chemicals. What are the essentials which I really need? I don't want to buy things that are not necessary. I know its a money making business these chemicals that they sell.
Answer: Here are some consumer reviews of a winterizing kit. The Kit is rather inexpensive (only $54.00) and is non-clorine based so it won't harm the nylon pool liner. There's a cheaper kit as well for $20.00.

Question: Can Chemicals in Cleaning Products Introduce Carcinogens in Quantities High Enough to Cause Cancer? Recent University studies say toxic chemicals in normal cleaning solutions can bread a wide array of fatal diseases.
Product manufacturers say this is false, and the toxins contained in their products are within federal regulatory guidelines.
Does anyone know of other studies conducted that analyze the effects of chemicals that are combined in the atmosphere and then ingested by humans, either by skin absorption, or through inhaling?
Answer: I don't know of any studies that validate this, but I do have some personal feelings about it. My mom, my cousin and I cleaned for many years. In 2008, my cousin was diagnosed with lung cancer. She never smoked a day in her life. She was Stage IV and had brain and bone mets. She died less than a year after diagnosis.
I switched to all natural products. I was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer in June, with mets to colon and liver.
Don't have any evidence that it was caused by cleaning products, but I sure think they had something to do with it.
Question: What chemicals should be used on what color hair for best results? Ok so I am doing a science fair project. My project is to test 3 different types of chemicals on 3 different colors of hair. The hair colors are: Brunette, Black, and Red. The chemicals I will be using are: Bleach, Peroxide, and a mixture of Lemon juice and salt. What would you recommend for each color of hair? Any other suggestions go ahead and add them on! Thank you!
Answer: I am a stylist...I think that Bleach on black hair, Peroxide on Brunette and Lemom Juice and salt on Red. I think that they might have some sort of effect on the change of the hair colour or some sort of slight reaction. Goodluck
Question: What chemicals do I use to develop black and white and color film? I have everything, dark room and supplies and was told all i need are the chemicals.
What are the names of the chemicals and tell if you know where to get them cheap!
Thanks!
Answer: hey, congrats on setting up a darkroom!
Well, first of all, you should start with developing black and white film. You need more chemicals to develop color film and you have to be a lot more careful with the temperature and development time. Black and white is EASY to do. Later on, you can try developing color when you've had some more experience. But for now, you should start with B&W.
If you already have all the supplies you need to develop B&W film - developing tank and reel, changing bag, measuring cups, etc, then I won't discuss that. As for the chemicals, you really only need 2 chemicals - developer and fixer. The developer develops the latent image on the film to make it visible, and the fixer makes the image permanent so that it's not light sensitive anymore. To develop black and white film, I would recommend D-76. It's very easy to use and it's great for beginners. Usually, you buy it as a powder and you mix it with 1 gallon of water to make a working sollution.
I usually order my film and chemicals from Freestyle Photo Supplies, in Hollywood, California. They have everything you need.
http://www.freestylephoto.biz/
Here's the developer I would recommend (remember though, this is for black and white film):
http://www.freestylephoto.biz/1464817-Kodak-D-76-Film-Developer-to-make-1-Gallon
As you can see, it's only 6 bucks. Chemicals are cheap.
Here's a fixer you can get:
http://www.freestylephoto.biz/1971746-Kodak-Fixer-Powder-To-Make-1-Gallon?cat_id=303
You can also buy the chemicals as a liquid concentrate (which you will also mix with water) but they tend to be more expensive and are also more expensive to ship.
The only catch is that Freestyle has a minimum $25 order requirement if you order online. But still, it's the best place to buy photography supplies.
There are other places where you can order chemicals, like B&H Photo and Video in New York. Or also, look for camera shops in your area (REAL camera shops that actually sell film, not some electronics place that only sells digital cameras).
Also, do you have an enlarger? If you're going to develop your own film, you might as well get an enlarger so you can develop your own optical prints too! You'd be amazed at how sharp and detailed real darkroom prints are.
Good luck! I'm glad to see someone else get into developing! If you have any questions, email me.
Question: What chemicals do you use and how much when starting up a new pool? We just purchased a new above ground pool that came with a start up kit of Pool Breeze chemicals. It does not have a guide as to how much chemicals to use and/or which ones. It is a 24 foot pool.
Answer: Start by balancing the ph. The test kit that should have been included should tell you how. After that get your chlorine in order. Check ph and chlorine every morning and adjust. For the other stuff they said you need, You don't on a regular basis. They all have directions and you should have a trouble shooting guide that came with the test kit. You will need to shock it every week or two depending on usage.
Question: What are different kinds of liquid chemicals that are on the periodic table? I just need a list of liquid chemicals to test for my science fair project. I know some of you might say it is unsafe to add some solvents to different liquid chemicals, but for now, I just need a good list of liquid chemicals to add it. I'll do my research on these chemicals and see if it will be safe or not.
Answer: if your talking about the ones in the periodic table,
the only liquid elements at normal temperature ar mercury and bromine.
it actually depends on the reactants if it's safe or not to add liquid solvents. so u should know what type of reaction will take place and what are the products form.
but i'll give some liquid chemicals/compunds
Ferric Chloride solution
Bromine Water
Ethanol
potassium permanganate
sodium bicarbonate solution
sodium hydroxide solution
orcinol
resorcinol
iodine solution
ammonium chloride
that's all i can remember.
hope this helps.
Question: How do the chemicals that change the color of hydrangeas work? Ok so i know that hydrangeas growing in more acidic soil will be blue as long as there is aluminum present, which can be done by adding aluminum sulfate, and hydrangeas growing in more alkaline soil will be pink as long as there isn't a lot of aluminum present, which can be done by adding dolomitic lime. But does anyone know of any websites that i can find HOW these different chemicals change the color, like the chemical process and how it affects the color pigments in the flower? THANKS!
Answer: Try the following site:
Question: How do the chemicals the remove a permanent marker remove that stain? I am doing a project, and I need to know how the chemicals that remove permanent marker remove them. For example, if i got Sharpi and my t-shirt, and I used rubbing alcohol to get it out. Why was the rubbing alcohol able to get the stain out? What goes on between the chemicals of the rubbing alcohol and sharpi marker stain?
Answer: I don't think it would. And I haven't found anything that will take Sharpie out of fabric.
Now, I am able to remove Sharpie from a hard surface with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Since the manufacturer keeps the chemical make-up of the eraser a secret, I don't know why it works.
Question: What kinds of pesticides or chemicals are used and/or put into red meat? I am wondering what kinds of chemicals and pesticides are used in the production of red meat. I am researching, for schoo, how vegetarianism/veganism effects the environment. I already red meat know is fairly unhealthy, but how much more unhealthy is it with the chemicals used during/after the production of the meat, and how much/many of the chemicals make it to the finished product on my dinner table?
Answer: carbon monoxide, for one....
carbon monoxide is a poison that restricts the body's ability to absorb oxygen into the bloodstream. carbon monoxide can even kill someone if they get too much of it at once.
it is used to keep meat from looking spoiled. if you take a piece of meat that has been treated with carbon monoxide and one that hasn't, the one that has been treated with the chemical will look fresh long after the other has turned green. gross to think that people eat meat that would be spoiled and green without chemicals injected into it, isn't it??
Question: How does pooling chemicals in a swimming pool work? I read online that to adjust the pH balance you should evenly distribute the chemicals, and to adjust the alkalinity you should pool the chemicals. How does one method effect pH more than alkalinity?
I understand how to add the chemicals. I want to know why pooling the chemicals affects the alkalinity more than pH, and dispensing the same chemical in a more distributed manor has more effect on the pH balance.
Answer: I am a pool -owner but don't know about that.. For me everything goes into the skimmer and never a problem.I want my chemicals circulated well rather then concentrated in one area.....so i look forward to someone elses opinion
Question: What chemicals are used in alkaline batteries of the following brands? The four brands, President Choice, Duracell, Energizer, and Panasonic, they are all double A (AA) and use alkaline. What chemicals are in them? First one with all the answers to this question gets best answer.
Give me the website for the chemicals used in the President Choice alkaline battery please.
Answer: Go to their websites...
The will have data sheets and most likely the safety forms. Damn, I had training for this like last week. What or those things called. Material Safety Data Sheets or something.
