Question: How much child allowance do you get for each child? Doing some family planning in Manitoba. How much child allowance will I get for my child on the way. I know it is based on annual income. Is there a calculator on the internet that help with this? What is the average child allowance for an income of $30,000 Gross a year. What are some people getting paid per child right now compared to your annual income? $50 a month child allowance? $500 a month child allowance?
Answer: Oh, I am in Manitoba and just had a baby!!
My husband and I gross about 83k a year and we get $54.00 per month. Also, you will get the $100 per month national benefit but you have to include it in your income when you do your taxes.
Here is a calculator you can use.

Question: How does child support work in the Netherlands? Does anyone have any idea how this works - the child is now 18 (nearly 19), finished High School last year, working, still living with the mother BUT intending to continue education after a year off. So, how does child support work in this case? Does it stop altogether because the child is now working, or does it stop for a year and then continue again once the child goes to college, or does it just continue regardless?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Also - if it does continue, then should it now paid to the child? Or does it still paid to the mother?
Answer: As soon as someone is 18, it's 'technically' responsible for him-/herself. When you decide to go work, you won't be able to expect any form of support, (maybe 'zorgtoeslag' if you earn (very) little money.
When you, after a year off, decide to go and study, you will be able to accept study financing just like anyone else who does the study, as long as you don't get paid from an other country as well, and you study in the Netherlands or in 'border regions'.
All money paid for study financing or health care by governmental organisations will be paid to the person who will have to 'organise' it, so the child will receive it.
And for Arjen, the IB-Groep doesn't (officially) exist anymore. It's now called DUO (Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs)
Question: What is the citizenship of an Indian child born in the United States? A friend of mine is expecting a baby this December. He had few doubts about the citizenship of his child.
He and his wife are Indian Citizens born in India. Both his and her parents are Indian Citizens by birth. They hold valid Indian Passports.
They have been residing in the US for past 3 years and the child will be born in the United States.
So the child by the virtue of lex soli be a citizen of the US
Also the child by the virtue of lex sanguinis be a citizen of India
my question is when the parents register the childs birth at an Indian Mission, the child gets his Indian Citizenship. But the application requires both the parents to declare that the child has not accquired another citizenship. Will this declaration be true?
If so, will the child loose his US Citizenship?
What happens when the child becomes a major. Will he be required to denounce one of his citizenship?
What happens if the parents become a naturalized US Citizen in the future?
Answer: Typically what happens in a situation like this is that the child will have dual citizenship until the age of majority. At age of majority the child will have to declare citizenship for one country or the other. I would believe that the application process should not be a problem because until the child declares citizenship, it has not been acquired, so the declaration should be true. Any child born here would automatically have citizenship here (regardless of the family's country of origin.) I'm not sure what happens if the parents become naturalized... best to check INS web site for that information.
Question: What are child abandonment laws in regard to leaving a child alone in a public place? A 5-year-old child is left alone at table in the mall for 5 or 6 hours. This parent has no contact with the child during that time and isn't even necessarily nearby (not within seeing or hearing distance).
What are the laws for that child? Is that considered abandonment? Could a parent get arrested for that? Fined? What would happen?
Answer: Yes. A child under the age of 12 cannot be left alone anywhere even at home. Parent can be arrested and child placed in foster care.
Question: Is it illegal to leave child in car for a minute in a very safe neighbourhood? We have two children -- 3 years old and 18 months. We have not had to do this so far, but we are considering hiring a nanny. She would be responsible for dropping off my 3 year old to the day care. The nanny also has a 18 month old child. We're planning to have her take all three children with her in a van to drop off my 3-year old to day care. However, I thought it would be ok if she left the two 18-month old children in the car while she dropped the 3-year old in the day care. This is a very safe area and both the 18-month old children would be buckled up in their car seats. The nanny shouldn't be gone for more than a minute. I know there is always a small possibility that something could go wrong, but it appears to me that this situation is fairly safe. The day care has their own parking lot -- so there aren't a lot of people walking around there and this is a very safe neighbourhood.
Answer: Yes - absolutely.
I am shaking my head at this one. If I happened to see your nanny leave the van with the 2 children inside, I'd block her in, call the cops, and sit there until they came. That is absolutely wrong.
Question: Can a dependant minor child qualify to receive SS dependency benefits from both father and stepfather? 13 year old child. Biological father receives social security benefits [disability] and child qualifies to receive dependency benefits [equal to 1/2 of what father receives]. Mother now married to older man -- child's stepfather -- and he receives social security benefits. Can child also receive dependency benefits via stepfather's social security?
Answer: NO. The step father is not related to the child. The natural father is. Individuals can draw from ONLY ONE ACCOUNT.
Question: How do Social Services get a child from one place to another? When a child is being transported from, say, a foster home to another foster home, or when the child's parents die and he's going to live with his grandparents, do Social Services drive the child there? What if it's a too long a distance? Would they fly the child? Main question: how does a child get transported to their new home if it's too far to drive?
Answer: They call Chuck Norris!
Question: How many of you buckle your child in a carseat? How many of you put your child(4yrs old or older) in a child safety seat. Is it a backless booster seat, a booster seat using only the seatbelt positioner,or a booster seat with a five point harness? How old is your child, and what is his/her weight and height? How long do plan on keeping your child in a child safety seat?
Answer: My daughter is just over two and the law here required them to be in a seat until 8 years old. That is what we will follow.
Question: How to prevent a child from being enrolled in special education? A child in the state of Missouri was diagnosed with epilepsy several months ago, due to false information provided by one of the parents. A second opinion and new tests revealed no seizure activity. However, the parent who provided the false information is now pursuing special education for this child, who won't qualify without a diagnosis. Unfortunately, the educators didn't know about the second set of tests, and are ready to pursue the special education route. They will not delay the deadline for a decision, stating "the plan is already in place." They also state that only one parent needs to sign the consent to enroll the child, which the parent providing false information is ready to do. What, if anything, can be done to prevent this child from being enrolled in special education? If nothing, is there any recourse?
Answer: I get the feeling you are a relative or the other parent, so if this is a personal case, I understand why you are concerned. Unfortunately, I am not sure about legal recourse or what legal options you may have, it is an unusual situation. I am sure it probably depends on your relation to the child and may be influenced by state laws.
However, learning a bit more about special education law will probably help you out. Look for information online about the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504. One thing that may make you feel better is to understand that under IDEA/Section 504, a child with epilepsy must be provided with provisions to help him or her succeed in school, in the "least restrictive environment." Even for most children that actually have epilepsy, this will usually not consist of a self contained classroom, but may include some extra help or attention. Obviously if this child has been functioning fine in normal classrooms up to this point, the school will not pull him/her out of regular classes just because of this false diagnosis. My guess would be that most schools would just include extra support in case he or she needs it. Thus, just because a child is "in special education" or has an IEP, it does not mean that the child will be isolated or pulled from regular classes.
The only time that any child is not mainstreamed is when he or she cannot learn in a regular classroom. Thus, if this child truly has no disability, it would be unlikely (and against IDEA, as well as unethical) for the school to place the child in a separate classroom, even with a false diagnosis. So, if this is your fear, it seems very unlikely. Either way, if you are the other parent or have some rights to this child, it may be beneficial to try and attend the IEP meeting so you can have some input and better understand what the plan is.

Question: How hard is it to find affordable Child Care in the Rural areas? Would you like the rural areas to have a custom built child safe building, local child care providers, 24 hour child care to cover shift workers, Government child care subsidised and provisions for child care for no more then 6 children per building?
Answer: the bigger question is:
how hard is it to find AFFORDABLE child care ANYWHERE?
Question: How much child tax credit will I recieve for my baby due in February? I have three children at the moment, but my fourth is due in february. How much extra per week will I recieve. (not working child tax credit, just normal child tax credit) Cheers!
Answer: Each case is specific, you need to go online to use the online calculator:
https://www.taxcredits.inlandrevenue.gov.uk/Qualify/DIQHousehold.aspx
How much you get depends on income, ages of other children etc
Labdogs, she's in the UK there are no limits to when you can claim. you claim as soon as your baby is born whether december or june.
And there not free hand outs, parents work harder then any other group or profession of people. Think about it, if only parents who were well off enough not to need child benefit had children hundred and thousands of nurseries, school teachers, pedatricians, shops like mothercare and the early learning centre would all lose there jobs. All these professions and many mnay more require children to be born for them to continue in business. With the amount of job losses already, think how many more thousands, of nurses, doctors, school teachers, shop workers would be out of job because there wasn't a supply for them. If you stopped every parent having a child unless they were well off enough to afford to have them, there would eb no children. Because lets face it how many people can afford to live without some kind of help?? You people bark up the wrong tree, take away the kids and you take away the jobs and take away so many other peoples lives.
Question: What could cause a child to suddenly start wetting themselves? If a child never wets his/her pants at school and then suddenly starts doing it frequently, what could be possible reasons? The child has had this problem at home but is now doing it at school. There are not specific activities or times of the school day during which the child is doing it, and the child is not making attempts to ask to use the restroom.
I am not the child's parent. The child is nine.
Answer: abuse, stress, fear, medical problems, emotional problems etc.
Question: How does child support work when father is deployed to iraq? My son's father is being deployed to Iraq in May, but leaves in March for his training. Child support is already court ordered, but I know that there will be a huge increase in his pay once he leaves. What should I do about getting child support increased? Should I contact his national guard unit or child support enforcement now or should I wait? If I wait until he has gone, how do I show his income?
He is ordered to pay, but has just started to pay because he will most likely to have to serve 30 days before he leaves. His court date is on the 18th for that. He is over 3000 behind already.
He is in the national guard so when we processed the orders he was working a minimum wage job. His pay will increase.
Answer: the increase in pay we get over there is not our real salary so they never go by that. although since he will be getting regular active duty pay u should hit him up for that. and the army CAN enforce the child support order. your child is entitled to all of the servicemember's BAH. when my husband was deployed i didn't get a dime and his unit told me they can't enforce it with no court order! i too am in army and know that's not true.
Question: How do I protect my child from another child at school? My child was sexually molested by another child at school. The molester is on probabtion and coming back to school. In AZ what type of legal protection can I get for my child? An order of protection is for domestic abuse, is there something else I can get?
Answer: Kick the other parents ass for doing a lousy job. No but to be serious just sit down with the other kid and his parents to talk it out.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
getting a restraining order will not work. He will continue to do this if no one talks to the kid. Help instead of punishing him.
Question: How can my husband cancel child support to a child who is no longer a minor? My husband has been paying child support faithfully, but now that his daughter is no longer a minor we can't seem to find the right way to cancel these payments, they are now deducting the amount of child support from his SS checks. We have tried contacting the NJ Child support division but have not been able to get in touch with anyone via phone or by mail. What else can we do? How can we stop paying?
Answer: file a motion in family court to end the child support based on the child being an adult now and served the other parent the papers. If the child is attending college then child support will continue. Check into that as well.
Question: What child-rearing practices and discipline strategies are likely to facilitate moral behavior and why? You have been asked to speak to a group of parents about supporting young children’s moral development. What child-rearing practices and discipline strategies are likely to facilitate moral behavior and why?
Answer: well how about the old fashion you know it's wrong & you do it anyway you get punished for it- instead of going to time out-I still believe there is nothing wrong with a swat on the butt when need be-& i'm saying swat not drop their pants & whip them with belts- which is how i was done & learned early on it didn't feel good so don't keep messing up & it won't happen again♦
