Cloride
Question: What type reaction occus between sodium hydroxide and copper cloride and iron chloride?
Answer: 2NaOH + CuCl2 --> 2NaCl + Cu(OH)2
2NaOH + FeCl2 --> 2NaCl + Fe(OH)2
(or 3NaOH + FeCl3 --> 3NaCl + Fe(OH)3)
both are double displacement reactions. (or metathetic because the ox. number of the elements does not change).
Question: How do you write Iron III Cloride in an equation? k so im doing this chemistry project and its bad ed on finding the molarity of a solution and I need help trying to convert 9.2 times 10^-2 to M to moles also. If you can help plez do
Answer: FeCl3

Question: does the salt came from sodium cloride? if yes, give me the procedure of SALT MAKING?
Answer: In chemistry, salt is a term used for ionic compounds composed of positively charged cations and negatively charged anions, so that the product is neutral and without a net charge. These ions can be inorganic (Cl-) as well as organic (CH3-COO-) and monoatomic (F-) as well as polyatomic ions (SO42-).
Solutions of salts in water are called electrolytes. Electrolytes as well as molten salts conduct electricity.
Mixtures of many different ions in solution like in the cytoplasm of cells, in blood, urine, plant saps, and mineral waters usually do not form defined salts after evaporation of the water. Therefore their salt content is given for the respective ions.
Normal salt is salt that does not contain a hydroxide ion (OH-) or a hydrogen ion (H+). Salts that contain a hydroxide ion are basic salts and salts that contain a hydrogen ion are acid salts.
Impure salt is a name for salt which has lost its saltiness. It can also refer to natron
Salts are formed by a chemical reaction between:
a base and an acid, e.g. NH3 + HCl → NH4Cl
a metal and an acid, e.g. Mg + H2SO4 → MgSO4 + H2
Question: What are the laws in massachusetts regarding systems which use dangerous gasses such as hydrogen cloride? I need laws and regulations pretaining to industrial systems using dangerous gasses.
any and all information will help, including venting, safeties, storage, and shutoffs.
thanks in advance
Answer: I don't know the answer to your question, but I bet that in an industrial workplace, OSHA regs are going to be your main concern. Also, DOT regs will have some impact assuming that the gasses in question are made somewhere else, and transported to the site by truck or train.
Question: What material is suitable for hypo cloride soduim piping . ? javel water or hypocloride sodium is used for cooling tower in
petrochemical company for killing the bacterias and other jerms. what is the proper piping material for this chemical?
Answer: COPPER
Question: Is Benzalkonium Cloride in preparationH that is used for hemorrhoids?
Answer: Hi Bertha,
No, Benzalkonium Chloride is not used in preparationH products.
Phenylephrine is the active ingredient of most Preparation H products, except for "Preparation H Hydrocortisone 1%". All active ingredients are listed on the package and for your convenience, I listed them for all Preparation H products below. None of them mention Benzalkonium Chloride.
-Preparation H cream:
Active ingredients
Glycerin 14.4% as a protectant
Phenylephrine HCl 0.25% as a vasoconstrictor
Pramoxine HCl 1% as a local anesthetic
White petrolatum 15% as a protectant
-Preparation H Suppositories:
Active ingredients
Cocoa butter 85.39% as a protectant
Phenylephrine HCl 0.25% as a asoconstrictor
Shark liver oil 3.0% as a protectant
-Preparation H - Hydrocortisone 1%:
Active ingredient
Hydrocortisone 1% as an anti-itch
-Preparation H - Cooling gel:
Active ingredients
Phenylephrine HCl 0.25% as a vasoconstrictor
Witch hazel 50.0% as an astringent
-Preparation H - Medicated Wipes:
Active ingredient
Witch hazel 50.0% as an astringent
-Preparation H Ointment:
Active ingredients
Light mineral oil 14% as a protectant
Petrolatum 71.9% as a protectant
Phenylephrine HCl 0.25% as a vasoconstrictor
Shark liver oil 3.0% as a protectant
I hope that answers your questions Bertha?
Question: what is the number of moles contained in 1kg of sodium cloride?
Answer: Simply take the mass divide by the molecular mass, i.e.
1000 / (23 + 35.5) mol
Question: Why can we eat salt when sodium and cloride are both deadly elements when they are not combined?
Answer: when combining things, they become something totally different. take hydrogen and oxygen - by themselves are gasses - combined one way (H2O) they make water which we need to survive - add another oxygen molecule (H2O2) and you have hydrogen peroxide which (in non-diluted form) is lethal. the stuff you buy at the store to clean out a wound is only a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide in water.
Question: How can I obtaine silver (Ag) from Silver Cloride(AgCl) ?
Answer: by displacement reaction
react the silver with a more reactive metal eg: iron the iron will displace the silver since its more reactive, which would give you iron chloride, and silver
Question: How could you separate barium sulfate,BaSO4, from ammonium cloride,NH4Cl? 1)Decantation
2)Filtration
3)Extraction
4)Sublimination
Answer: Extraction.
Ammonium Chloride is soluble in water. Barium sulfate is not. Add water, decant or filter the water, and then evaporate it. You would have your solids separated.
Question: Which of the following represents a double-desplacement reaction between sodium cloride and silver flouride? A. NaCl + AgF= NaAgF + Cl2
B. NaCl + AgF= NaF+ AgCl
C. NaCl + AgF= Ag+NaClF
D. NaCl + AgF=NaF+ Cl2 +Ag
Answer: B
Question: How does sodium cloride afect cold water?
Answer: it should make it colder. i saw a myth busters and they used salt in ice water to make it colder faster in order to try and cool down a drink faster.
Question: What is the best flocculant or clarifier for heavy brine water @ 99% sodium cloride concentration!? seem to have real fine clay particularsd in brine water that will not settle. Tried chitosan and aluminum sulfate with not to much luck!
Answer: I have searched, but haven't been able to really find anything of substance.
One thing I would suggest is centrifuging the solution. Centrifuge for a minute. Take out the supernatent and centrifuge that again. Keep going until no more precipitate falls out of solution after long (30 min at least) spans of centrifuging.
Question: which colour of precipitate is formed when sodium sulphate and barium cloride react?
Answer: A white precipitate.
Sodium sulphate and barium chloride react to give barium sulphate and sodium chloride.
Na2SO4 (aq) + BaCl2 (aq) => BaSO4 (s) + 2NaCl (aq)
Barium sulphate is insoluble as water and will precipitate out of solution as a white solid which you will observe.
Question: what is the role of barium cloride in the sublimation of naphthalene and silicon? this is an experiment regarding sublimation
Answer: i think the purpose of BaCl2 in the expt is to test for the purity of the substance to be purified...
(well, in our expt regarding that, we used BaCl2 to test if the sublimate is pure phthalic anhydride, w/o any contamination of Na2SO4. )
if precipitation still occurs when you add BaCl2 in the residue, that indicates that it is still contaminated...
Question: when NaCl is dissolved in water,,, are the cloride ions attracted to the negative end of the water dipole? and is the sodium ions attracted to the positive end of the water dipole????
god help me
Answer: Cloride ions are Cl- therefore they are attracted to the positive.
