Question: How much daily physical activity do I need to maintain my weight? How much daily physical activity do I need to maintain my weight?
I am a 17 year old male, 5`10``, 136 pounds.
Answer: A lot of it is what you eat too. If you are eating garbage, more.
Just stay active. It's summer...do a sport or get out and ride a bike or something
Question: How do I convert daily interest to annual interest? I've calculated the daily return on a stock for a period of 5 years, and took the average of that return. And now I want to convert that average daily return to its equivalent annual return.
Answer: D=daily rate in decimal form, i.e. 5% would be 0.05
A=annual rate in decimal form
A=(1+D)^365-1
That would be for interest calculated daily, but you are talking about a stock so replace 365 with the number of trading days in that year, usually around 250.
But average returns are meaningless. If a stock starts at 100 and goes up 50% to 150 one day and then drops 50% to 75 the next day, the average daily return is 0% but you lost 25% of your money.
Question: What percent of your daily protein should come from protein shakes? If you weight 160 pounds, would it be okay to get 108 grams of the 160 grams that you intake daily from protein shake?
I heard that you shouldn't get more than 50% of your daily protein from shakes; is this true--why?
Answer: yeah, thats good. eat eggs, chicken, meat, yogurt, milk or something else to make up for the other 52 grams... 1 gram per pound of weight

Question: What is the difference between daily and monthly contact lenses? Why do dailies cost more? And if I wanted to wear contacts everyday, would it be better to use daily or monthly ones? Thank you =)
Answer: ill make this short so you dont have to rad to much
daily- after your very first use with the contact, you throw it away when finished, and use a completely new contact the next day
monthly(i have these)- you have 1 pair of cantacts for each month
you put the contacts in during the morning and at night you clean them and put them back in your cantact case, the next day you use those same contacts, just to be cleaned again that night. and you keep doing that for a month, then throw them away after the month is up, and get new contacts.
Question: What are the daily nutritional requirements for a canine? Does anyone have a link for the required daily intake of vitamins and minerals for a dog?
Answer: Obviously, nutritional requirements vary from dog to dog just as they do for people. Here are some links to guidelines for daily requirements. Merck doesn't have it in one concise place, but spread under different topics. BAHNR has a pamphlet with some of the info from their report you can purchase. Finally, petplace.com has a concise listing but doesn't list for what size dog it applies to.

Question: What is a daily routine that I could follow as a high school student? It's my junior year. Hardest year at my school. I have SAT, ACT, senior project(that we have to have done junior year, stupid I know), AP classes and such. I've always been a procrastinator. I get good grades, but I'm always stressed. So I thought if I have a daily routine that has everything from homework to meals to exercise and such that it would help me out a lot more! Any tips would be appreciated too.
Answer: Well it could be something like this,
5:30 wake up and work out
6:00 get ready
7:00 go to school
3:00 get dismissed
3-6 homework/senior project/sports/studying
6:00 dinner
6:30 finish up homework and get ready for next day
7:00 shower
7:30 If you have anything else school related-do it.
7:45 do chores if you have them
8:00 relax
9:00 snuggle up with a book and go to sleep :)
Question: What kind of daily moisturizer and make up do you use for your face? And what brand foundation do you use?
I've been using Olay total effs (7 in 1 anti-aging) daily moisturizer and Shiseido's oil free powder foundation.
What products do you use for your face every day?
Answer: I use the complete Clinque skincare line, as I have trouble skin. I really love their moisturizer! As for makeup I use 2 brands for the most part. I use Laura Gellar for my primer and foundation, then the rest of my makeup in Smashbox. Sometimes if I want a more natural look I jsut use my Smashbox tinted moisturizer. I buy all of my makeup off of sephora.com, they have the absolute best, plus they have tools to find the best makeup for your skintype. Also if you have a store near, you can go in and "play" with all of the makeup!!! So much better than the department store counters...

Question: What is the daily rainfall and the yearly rainfall of the desert? What is the daily rainfall and the yearly rainfall of a common desert? And what the average temperature?
Answer: A desert is a landscape form or region that receives very little precipitation. Deserts are defined as areas that receive an average annual precipitation of less than 250 mm (10 in). In the Köppen climate classification system, deserts are classed as (BW).
Group B is a desert area with these caracteristics.
GROUP B: Dry (arid and semiarid) climates-
These climates are characterized by the fact that precipitation is less than potential evapotranspiration.[6] The threshold is determined as follows:
To find the precipitation threshold (in millimeters), multiply the average annual temperature in °C by 20, then add 280 if 70% or more of the total precipitation is in the high-sun half of the year (April through September in the Northern Hemisphere, or October through March in the Southern), or 140 if 30%-70% of the total precipitation is received during the applicable period, or 0 if less than 30% of the total precipitation is so received.
If the annual precipitation is less than half the threshold for Group B, it is classified as BW (desert climate); if it is less than the threshold but more than half the threshold, it is classified as BS (steppe climate).
A third letter can be included to indicate temperature. Originally, h signified low latitude climate (average annual temperature above 18 °C) while k signified middle latitude climate (average annual temperature below 18 °C [64.4 °F]), but the more common practice today (especially in the United States) is to use h to mean that the coldest month has an average temperature that is above 0 °C (32 °F), with k denoting that at least one month averages below 0 °C.
Examples:
Yuma, Arizona (BWh)
Turfan, Xinjiang, China (BWk)
Cobar, New South Wales, Australia (BSh)
Murcia, Spain (BSh)
Question: What is the daily function of a human resources department? What are the daily responsibilities of a human resources department beyond recruiting to open positions?
Answer: HR is a strategic partner with a company and they align their goals to the goals of the company. They also do things like making sure the company is adhering to legislation around employment law, labor law and in some HR Departments, health and safety. -Employment Law
-Recruitment and Selection
-Compensation (salary administration, ensuring that people are paid for what they are worth)
-Policy Development (policy around things like drugs and alcohol in the workplace, safety, tution refunds, all kinds of things!)
-Health and Safety (work place health and safety committees, accident investigations, promoting workplace wellness, administering workers compensation)
-Orientation of new employees
So much more. Its a great career.
Question: What was the daily life of a servant during the Victorian Era like? Where young girls able to work at inns, as servants(if they were allowed to sleep in an attic or something in exchange for work)? What would be the daily life for them?
Answer: In the early nineteenth century, it was common for children to go into domestic service at a very early age, usually around ten years of age but sometimes as young as eight. The daughters of working men and women had to earn their living and domestic service was considered an ideal occupation for young girls and single women.
Working time could be up to 17 hours long each day, from 5.30 a.m. in the morning until 10.30 p.m. The work was endless and physically demanding. Servants were seen as dispensable creatures solely in existence for the comfort of the family and so health and safety issues for the servant were not considered the employer's responsibility. The issue of servants' injuries was finally included in the Workman's Compensation Act of 1907. Maids and cooks had to endure lack of fresh air, monotonous, long hours of work and accidents in the course of their work such as burns and falls. Servants slept in the kitchen or in cupboards under the stairs or in attics. They were often forbidden to sing or laugh and had to remain as noiseless and invisible as possible. If they came into contact with a member of the household, they were to keep quiet, avert their eyes and walk out of the room backwards. If anything was broken or damaged, the servant was made to pay and the sum would be deducted from their wages.
Question: What is a daily life of a computer scientist like? What is the daily life of a computer scientist (who works for a company, not a university) like? What do they really do?
Answer: We sit around in our lab coats, pontificating. Usually in Hexadecimal.
Seriously though - it's just normal work. We go to meetings, decide what needs to be developed, how to do it, what end users need. Then we write code. Joke with our buddies. Go for a walk outside at break time. Design some things, get on conference calls discussing stuff. Go have lunch. Do more work, answer emails. Go home at 5 or 6 to our families.
