Diet Myths

Question: Diet myths? 1. Is it true your metabolisiom is slower after 7pm? 2. Also is bad to eat 3 hours before you go to sleep? 3. (This is one my mother told me) You gain weight if you eat lying down? Also what is the recommended glasses of water per day? I've been off pop for 25 days.

Answer: For the first 2 questions, it doesn't matter when you eat but how many calories your eat in a 24 hour period. There are times during the day where you may have less energy but that doesn't mean you have a slow or slower metabolism at those times. Eating 2000 calories over 6 meals would be the same over 3 meals. If you're looking to lose fat, you need to cut your total daily caloric intake and eat better. You know...lower your intake of fat and carbs and don't forget to exercise.
