Diets And Supplements
Question: does any one have any good weight gaining supplements diets and workouts? im 14 and im 6foot 3 and 210lbs and i need to gain weight for football but i dont gain any weight
Answer: Tuna, Egg Whites, anything with high protein will work. The protein mix in the supplement section next to the creatine will help. Cardio and weight training of any kind help. Don't over do it though.
Question: Working supplements, diets, pills, anything to get taller? I need something to help me grow taller but I want to know something that someone has tried and works and safe.
Answer: Sorry, no magic pills. Just eat right, lots of protein, sleep well, and exercise.
Question: What diet supplements are safe and effective to take while dieting? Doctors or nurses please answer? I'm trying to lose weight and I am concerned about over the counter diet supplements. It always scares me when I read "not FDA approved" and since I have high blood pressure I wanted to know what is the safest and most effective over the counter diet supplement?
Answer: You don't need supplements for weight loss, the actual diet matters a lot more. The only one I'd recommend is whey protein for post-workout supplementation, to repair the torn down muscle fibers quickly. The FDA is a joke, it doesn't matter what they approve, they could not care less about your health, it's about profit. Foods with trans fats are deemed ok by the FDA. Even worse, they can claim 0g trans fat when there is in fact trans fat in the food.
Question: Can you recommend some good diet pills or diet supplements to speed up weight loss? I am looking for a safe, over the counter product that I can buy at a local drugstore. Please include any successes you have had if you tried the pills and or supplements.
I do cardio workouts three times a week, as well as weight lifting.
Please help!
Answer: I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.
Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.
First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Now this doesn't mean you have to follow my foot steps but I've successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.
Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.
Question: Why none politician had made Vitamins and Supplements be under control of FDA ? If people were aware about what is really in on their vitamins and supplements, don't you think that those diets supplements would not be able to lead peoples health wrong ? I think if people had paid what they have paid to become healthy is because they are intended to do and the Vitamins and Suplements Industries are highly responsable for the bad shape of american health.
Answer: I think that the poor health of the average American has far more to do with cheeseburgers, lack of exercise, and stress, instead of the regulation of vitamins and minerals.
The FDA does regulate vitamins and minerals, just under a different set of regulations than prescription drugs.

Question: How effective and healthy are diet supplements? With all the advertisements for weight loss supplements like Trimspa, Hydroxycut, etc... I'm curious to know more about the positive and negative aspects of using them for weight loss.
Answer: It truly depends on the company/ingredients/chemicals or natural and combination. Also it depends on your own body and it's reasons for making you gain...I find with myself that it is an emotional thing that rules my lose and gain. I grew up being abused mentally all my life...now that I have finally learned to say NO to abusers and stand up, plus I am finally making headway in my life, going where I want to be...I have suddenly lost 28 lbs in about two months...not trying.
But I feel good about myself NOW...so I lose.
It can also depend on the combination of the foods you eat together and if you drink caffeine in any method near a meal. I once stopped having caffeine anywhere a meal or near any source of fats and poof! I spent the whole weekend using the washroom!
So, being aware of your lifestyle/habits/emotions and eating style can make a difference, then ensure that you use a natural and well researched suppliment as well as a good natural vitamin AND mineral suppliment can go a long way in the long run to reducing size and fat verses the muscle mass.
This is the company that I use for the best suppliments: http://www.naturessunshine.com/index.asp
Question: What are some good diet supplements to keep my dog's joints in good shape.? I have two great pyrenees (both are under 3 years old) and I want to start taking care of their bones and joints now in hopes of keeping them healthier longer. What are some good dietary supplements that I can get for them? I've looked in WalMart and the only thing I can find are pills where the dosage is something like 5 pills per day — ugh! I'm looking for something a little more economical and user-friendly.
Answer: I give my pyrs daily:
(1) glucosamine 1500 / chondroitin 1200
(1) fish oil ( or borrage/fish oil/flax) capsule
I give them twice a week:
(1) ester C
The fish oil is for skin tone. The other is for other two are for joint care and lubrication.
I buy these at Sam's Club. If you're not a Sam's Club member, you may be able to get these at Walmart.
It's better to start these as a prevention as you wish to do. I researched and started using these AFTER my male required TPLO surgery and I didn't want his second leg to need surgery, which happens way too often.
Meanwhile, I'd like to invite you to join one of Yahoo's fine pyr groups where you can ask these questions and get better answers from pyr owners and breeders than you'll get at YA. -!-
Question: Are there any fertility diet supplements out there for females and males? My fiance and I have been trying to get pregnant, and I am interested in any fertility diet supplements, vitamins, or anything that you can put in to food or drink that can help boost or aid in this subject. Is there any out there - mostly that I don't need to go to a doctor for?
Answer: There are several things that you can take. (choose only one to take at a time so you don't cancel out the different things things you take) There is fertilAId for men and women, vitex for women, ovulex for women and fertility blend for men and women. Remember it takes at least three months for any supplement to show any effect.
In addition to taking one of those, you should take a prenatal vitamin high in folic acid and iron doesn't hurt either. Those don't necessarily help you get pregnant, but make sure your body is ready to support a baby.
I have also heard that vitamin C is good for both men and women to take when they are trying to conceive.
Some people also swear by eating pineapple to help with implantation, yams to help with fertility, and baby carrots and green tea to help with creating fertile cervical mucus, which is important for conceiving.

Question: Do diet supplements actually work in losing weight? I've tried AcaiTirm for about a week. Should I continue taking it? Or am I wasting time and energy on taking it?
Answer: When I hear the word acai, it's a scam for your money. I never tried any, but I learned a lot from reading eating healthy articles. Acai berries are good for your health, but you cannot lose weight without diet and exercise. If you hear like losing 50 pounds a month, it's 100% scam so they can get you to buy their product. The thing that Beau said is a perfect example of a scam to buy their product.
Diet supplements do actually some what work because I eat them too, but you still need to eat proper diet and do exercise for losing weight. It's good because it helps clean inside of you from bad stuff. I would recommend eating a lot of vegetables and fruits. Almonds are good too. I would try to avoid eating meat because is bad for your health and diet.

Question: What have diet supplements been found to do in cases of depression? I started taking teen vitamins recently, and i'm wondering if its got anything to do with my lessening depression.
Answer: They can be wonderful for depression, particularly if you're lacking in Vitamin B, Iron, or Magnesium and your daily vitamin supplement has any of those. A lot of people (especially Americans) don't get enough of these in their daily diet, and if they need more of it in their system, it can cause (you guessed it) depression! Keep on taking them, especially if they work.
Question: Has anyone tried diet supplements to lose weight? I used to be a size 16, now im a size 10-12 UK, but no matter how much exercises I do or eat healthy, the weight doesn't shift. I have big thighs and breast. I just want to chop them off. Thinking of diet supplements, I have never taken these before and dont know if they work. I just need a helping hand. Is Addio's or green tea any good. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Answer: 99% of them are scams but there are pills that make you feel full. But you can get that effect from eating protein and fibre and drinking lots of water.

Question: How can I boost my immune system? Food/diet, supplements, etc? I want to know how you can boost and or keep your immune system at its maximum. What supplements and foods should i eat for this?
The reason behind this question is that i am going to be getting prolotherapy in 3 weeks and they say the stronger your immune system is, the better it works. Im going to see the best prolotherapist in the midwest US.
My immune system is ok i guess. I only get sick about twice a year. However, it takes me about 2 to 3 weeks sometimes to get rid of colds.
