Question: What are some healthy breakfast foods to eat while trying to lose weight? I'm trying to lose weight and I know that you're supposed to eat breakfast to do that. I hate breakfast but I'm going to force myself to eat it because it will help speed up my metabolism. I don't know what to eat though. I need some good suggestions.
Answer: If you like breakfast foods, try some turkey bacon or sausage, I really, really like it.
You can portion breakfast our to a serving size ans have you a couple pancakes with some lite light syrup.
Try toast with jelly and maybe some I can't believe it's not butter spray, or an English muffin. Oatmeal (flavored of course for me), cream of wheat! There are a lot of good cold cereals out there that are good for you!
Make yourself a breakfast sandwich or burrito or breakfast bowl. If you make it yourself the chances of it being a healthy choice is in your hands!
Try some fruit.
You can also try some protein shakes, they are really quick, good for you and delicious. It's easy because you are just drinking it, not really eating with the benefits of feeling satisfied. You can make yourself a fruit smoothie with it or just create a fruit smoothie all together.
I am not trying to solicit anyone, but where I get all my shakes and health products are in my profile! I take them personally I am just sharing my experience! I have cafe latte, french vanilla and chocolate!
I take a number of them but you can look through it yourself and decide what is right for you!

Question: How can I eat breakfast without feeling sick? I've been told over and over again that I need to eat a good breakfast everyday, and I know I should. The problem is that every time I eat breakfast within an hour or two of waking up, I get really sick to my stomach and end up spending a while in the bathroom. Why does this happen to me? It's been like this for as long as I can remember. What can I do to eat breakfast and not feel sick?
Answer: I always feel queasy every time I try to eat breakfast, and I've found that grabbing a Slim Fast or an instant breakfast shake doesn't exacerbate it at all. (On the other hand, coffee, juice, and fruit do.) If you're anything like me, you'll probably see a lot of benefit just from switching to liquids instead of trying to make your stomach handle solids so early in the morning. Even just a glass of milk is better than absolutely nothing.
Don't feel like it's all about "shoulds" and "musts;" just drink or eat what you can and your body will work with it.
Question: What do you eat for breakfast? How can I spice up my breakfast from the old typical eggs, cereal, oatmeal? Every week day I eat breakfast, I have about 45 minutes for it. Lately it's just a orign cycle to eat, cereal one day, eggs the next, oatmeal another day, fruits everyday, etc. I just wanted to know if anyone has any new idea for breakfast or something to change this monotonous cycle of breakfast.
Answer: Well I dice up half a tomato, use about 1 tbs of olive oil, heat it up, add the tomato, with a little onion powder, cook it for about 5-7 minutes, results are suited to your personal taste.
Then I either add eggs and scramble them together with the tomato and heat up three flour tortillas and make egg tacos

I easy over eggs then pour the tomatoes over the eggs then eat them with the tortillas...I love to break the yolk and mix the tomato directly into it...

Question: If I Eat Breakfast in the morning and eat fruit during the day and exersice twice a day Will I lose weight? Its just I have been eating healthy for 2 months (Not eating junk food) and exercising twice a day for 50min each, I only lost about 2-3kilos and nothing is happening. I;ve been told my body loves hanging onto the fat and is very hard to get rid of. So I though if I start again, but have a good breakfast (Weet-Box) and eat fruit druing the day and exercise twice a day for 50min will I see results?
Answer: you will see results....one main thing to keep in mind is cutting down on food wont reduce weight. u have to have proper breakfast, lunch and dinner.this means healthy.you r on the right track keep going on dont give up....
u dint put on this weigth(that u want to reduce) in jus few days right....so it will take time....it is very healthy to lose weight gradually rather than drasticaly, which might have a bad effect on ur health...

Question: How come I eat breakfast before I do to school and I am starving 2 hours later? I normally eat breakfast before I go to school and I am full. Rwo hours later I get to school and I am starving like I never ate breakfast. It is also not time to eat lunch yet. Why is this?
Answer: include at least 10 gm protien (2 eggs or a pot of yoghurt) some high fibre food ( wholegrain toast/ cereal/beans) and some complex sugar(grapefruit/apple or orange)
Question: When I eat breakfast I end up being even more hungry during the day? Most mornings I don't have time for breakfast, so I just skip it and eat lunch. Some days when I do eat breakfast though, I'm hungrier earlier than normal! Why would eating make me more hungry? I have a high metabolism, if that counts.
My friend said it could be because when I eat my stomach gets use to being full and after it burns off, it makes me hungry. When I don't eat, it doesn't burn anything off.

Answer: There are two main reasons that eating breakfast can lead to hunger later in the morning: One is the adaptive function of our body to conserve energy when we do not eat. It goes back to the caveman days: if there wasn't food around, our metabolism would slow down to conserve energy. Our bodies work the same way today: if we don't eat breakfast, our metabolism slows down and we are less hungry as a result. Some people don't get hungry till late in the afternoon if they don't eat breakfast--they skip lunch as well! But, as I mentioned, they almost always make up for it later in the day. If we eat breakfast, our metabolism starts running: "we have plenty of energy to use," our body says, "so let's start using it!" If we don't keep eating we get hungry in a few hours. It's okay to eat again then--just be sure to have a snack that's not too high in calories, such as a handful of nuts or a few crackers with peanut butter. Then you won't be starving at lunch time!
The other factor that causes people to be hungry a few hours after breakfast is the drop in blood sugar. Often at breakfast we eat foods that are high in carbohydrates and low in fat and protein, such as a bowl of cereal and a glass of juice, or toast with jam. Our blood sugar spikes high in an hour or so, and drops quickly in another hour, leaving us dizzy and weak by mid-morning--way before lunch time.

Answer: Ok, breakfast is important because it fuels you for the day. It gives you a healthy boost of energy at the beginning of the day which will last you for awhile. Without this, it would be a lot harder to get through the day. Notice that when you neglect to eat breakfast, it is harder to concentrate. This is because without food, oxygen doesn't flow readily to the brain. So, breakfast is the most important meal of the day!
Now, lunch is also important because breakfast doesn't last forever. You see, once you burn off the early meal in the beginning of the day, you need a healthy lunch to pull you through the rest. It will add a normal balance to your diet and hold you over. Also, you won't need to binge throughout the rest of the day if you just have an organized meal plan.

Question: What foods can i eat for breakfast that will fill me up till the afternoon? I do not have a lunch this semester, and want to eat something for breakfast that will fill me up until about 3:00. I eat breakfast around 6:45 am, and im usually hungry around 10:30.
Also, is there something I can eat/drink between classes that is small and will hold me over till I get home?
Answer: Protein and fiber are the two things that help my appetite. I can eat a bowl of raisin bran cereal or just bran cereal with milk (or soy milk) and will forget about eating sometimes when I am out shopping through the afternoon or otherwise busy. A bran muffin and either milk or yogurt might do the trick too. A cup of yogurt has some protein in it and if you don't want a bran muffin an apple has some fiber.
Question: Is it okay to eat breakfast with a hang over? I have a horrible headache and threw up a lot last night.

Question: How come I get diarrhea after I eat breakfast every morning? Every time I wake up for school I'm fine, but a few minutes after I eat breakfast(cereal, hot pockets,etc.) I get diarrhea. It's not really bad but I have to go and then I'm done and then I have go again. I'm a 15 year old girl and athletic if that has to do with anything. I normally take an anti-diarrheal pill afterwards just to make sure it doesn't come back during the day. But how can I eat breakfast and not get diarrhea?
Answer: Usually chronic diarrhea is a result of either pancreatic insufficiency (you can take digestive enzymes to help but should see a doctor for treatment) or food allergy. The foods you mention as breakfast foods are all very high in wheat content, and gluten is one of the most common food allergies. So, you might try going gluten free for a while and see if that takes care of the problem.

I have a problem with low blood sugar so I've learned a few things about putting together a bkfst that will sustain for about 4 to 5 hrs.
You may want to combine eggs with slice of toast and small cup of yogurt. Or try leftovers, sometimes I'll have turkey sausage with 1 to 2 cups of vegetables for bkfst. along with a little quinoa or a slice of toast for a carbohydrate.

Reasons:
You'll run faster with a lighter stomach.
You'll burn stored calories/fat.
You'll burn the calories in the breakfast you just ate faster.
Question: Is it really important to eat breakfast foods for breakfast? Answer: "traditional" breakfast foods, no.
but there is a reason that eggs and cereal and pancakes have become tradition. protein and healthy carbs are the best way to start your day.
but that doesn't mean you have to eat those type.
in fact, one of the smartest breakfasts is FISH, very non-traditional.
heads up: lean pockets and lean cuisines are so full of sodium that it might not be a good base for losing weight.... not that you can't eat them on occasion, but don't make them a staple. turkey on whole wheat? a perfect breakfast... good low fat protein with a good quality carb.
make sure your breakfasts are low on the glycemic scale, to keep you fuller throughout the day to help you lose weight! a spike in your blood sugar will have you running for junk food by noon.
Question: What are good things to eat for breakfast that won't cause you to go poop? For some reason, whenever I eat breakfast, I have to go poop after a couple of hours at school. Although this may not seem like a big problem but leaving class during a lecture sucks! Are there any food that you eat for breakfast that doesn't give you stomachaches and/or make you poop?
Answer: I drink protein shakes in the morning and I feel fine throughout the day. It's just a banana, some orane juice, some crushed ice, and a scoop of whey protein powder.

Where do you get time to eat breakfast, I leave my house at 6:30am and am never hungry before that time in the morning so I usually skips breakfast as I would feel uncomfortable eating at my desk at work, I am told that skipping breakfast leads to lower performance levels as well as lower effeciency in work performance, is this true in your opinion and do you eat breakfast everyday of the week?
Answer: It is true - just think, you haven't eaten since before you went to bed, maybe even a couple of hours before that, (7-10 hours?) so your body would need something to give it a boost. Grab a piece of toast as someone suggested or those breakfast bars.
I have two weetbix before I go to work, and the couple of times I have skipped breakfast, by the time I arrive at work I am all shaky and my stomach grumbles!
