Eating Breakfast
Question: Eating breakfast...? I don't eat lunch or breakfast, but I want to loose more weight. I NOT going to eat lunch! Breakfast maybe would eating breakfast and still not eating lunch be good for weight loss? I eat at three o clock just in case you were wondering :)
Answer: You CANNOT fool your body by skipping meals, plain and simple it will not work. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day it sets the pace and how your body performs for the rest of the day. Eat a wholesome well balanced breakfast, and then 4 or 5 small meals throughout the day. While you may not lose incredible amouts of weight immediately, you will however lose a steady amount and your body will not rebel and start storing FAT. It is hard for people to accept that eating more meals can lead to weight loss, but what you fail to understand is that you are actually eating less calories/fat and combined with moderate exercise will lead to permanent weight loss.
Question: eating breakfast???? i have never realy eatin breakfast, and now i am.im worried about gaining weight because now i am eating breakfast will it make me gain weight?
Answer: Eating breakfast is one of the most important meal of the day. If you want to lose weight, maintain weight or increase metabolism, you should always eat breakfast.
You will not gain weight if you have just started to eat breakfast as long as you are not increasing total number of calories for the day.

Question: EaTiNg BrEaKfAsT? i know that eating breakfast is healthy and "the most important meal of the day" but is it really?
i skip breakfast a lot and i feel the same all day.
does it help you burn calories or something?
i know it gives you energy for the day but if i'm fine with out it then am i ok?
please give me the pros and cons
thanks!
Answer: I used to be like you until my doctor encouraged me to try breakfast every day for a month to see if I could lose some weight. I agreed and found that I ate less in the middle of the day. I start work at 7:15am...without breakfast, I am ready to eat everything in sight around 11:00am.
Since I started eating breakfast, I can eat some fruit and yogurt around noon and be good until dinner around 4:30pm.
I was skeptical, but breakfast does have benefits and I did lose weight.
Question: Is eating fruits for breakfast a good plan to lose weight? Of course, the first thing before eating breakfast is hitting the gym.
Then, I eat the fruits for breakfast. I have heard that eating fruits makes you want to go to the bathroom more and lose more weight. Is this true?
Answer: Eating fruit in the morning is an excellent start to the day. But what you eat the rest of the day will also have an impact on how much weight you lose. I recommend a whole foods, plant-based diet. I adopted this diet about 8 months ago and easily lost 25 pounds. No meat, dairy, or egggs and no processed foods. Eliminating meat and toxins allows your body to shed fat more quickly. See the site below for suggested meal plans.
Question: What are the benefits of eating breakfast? I've heard people say that eating breakfast boosts your metabolism, helps you loose weight, and many other things. However, I don't see how this makes sense. Less calories=less weight right? Can anybody explain the science behind this to me?
Answer: Think of your metabolism as a wood furnace - don't give it any wood and it just slowly simmers away, feed it wood and it goes into high activity. After 8 hours with no food, your body's metabolism is low. By eating, you crank up the metabolism.
As someone else answered - if you don't eat breakfast, you normally end up binging in the evening because your body needs, not only calories, but also nutrients.
Eating once a day is the worst thing to do and is linked to problems with the gall bladder.
Breakfast should contain a protien, carb and good fat - for example, yogurt, fruit and almonds, or eggs, toast and butter (not really a GOOD fat, but not so terrible if kept to a small amount) - your 'furnace' works best when it is given a balance of all that it needs.
Question: Is it possible to have a healthy diet without eating breakfast? I absolutely can't eat breakfast. I don't have time and when I do I always throw up. I just hate eating before like 9:00 AM and I would have to eat by 6:30 because of the time I leave. I like to exercise in the afternoon but I'm either too hungry or I just ate and my stomach hurts (I'm not sure if this is because of not eating breakfast). Keep in mind I go to junior high so I can't prepare fancy hot lunches or anything. So how should I eat throughout the day to give me a balanced diet? Thanks!
Answer: Many people have a hard time with breakfast. Here is a little bit of info that many help you. When you wake up in the morning, your body has been without food anywhere from 6-8 hours. During the day, most people eat food, or meals, anywhere from every 2-4 hours.
When you wake up, your are "breaking your fast" from your night's rest. Knowing that, it is understandable that many people are not able to eat a large breakfast in the morning.
So, a good way to get your body in gear, and ready for the day, would be to eat some kind of whole grain bread (toast), with some fresh fruit, or juice. Then, when you are feeling a bit more hungry, you could have a sandwich (turkey and cheese on wheat, or the standard PB&J).
Let your body guide you, and always discuss diet changes with your medical professional.
Question: How do you get into the habit of eating breakfast every morning? I'm terrible at eating breakfast in the morning, and because I do this I'm usually starving long before lunch comes along. Research also shows that it's healthier to eat in the morning. *sigh*
But anyhow...
Do you have any "tricks" that help you eat breakfast?
Last night I set out the cereal box, bowl and spoon. Everything was ready and waiting for me this morning (except for the milk, of course - no biggie). I also have the coffeemaker on its preset mode. This helped me this morning.
Any other ideas?
Answer: 1st of all: Have a certain time daily to wake - up ( make it a habit to wake up that time).
2nd of all: Make yourself eat at the same time for 3 days straight ( after those 3 days, you will start to see you're body being able to adapt to different habits)
3rd thing: What cereal are you eating? Cereal is usually always not a good source of fulfillment. Try eating oatmeal or 2 slices of Nature's own whole wheat fiber bread with a tsp. of honey & 1/2 cup of fruit.
4th thing - The coffee maker idea was smart. The smell of the coffee grinds should help you wake up earlier to ( helping you remember to eat breakfast. Also, a good tip would be to put a sticky note on your coffee maker saying, eat breakfast before pouring a small glass of coffee)
This should help you. Best of luck :)
Question: What is the normal blood sugar level approximately 4 hours after eating breakfast? I am 21 weeks pregnant. This morning I ate waffles for breakfast and have felt awful ever since. I am dizzy, nauseated, and have a headache. I am also sweating a lot and am very sleepy. I have never been diagnosed as a diabetic but my father is. I let my mom check my blood sugar 4 hours after eating breakfast and it was 169. Is this too high? I am concerned that I could be pre-diabetic or have gestational diabetes.
Answer: Sorry, sweetheart ... and I offer that as a general term of endearment. It is NOT intended to be offensive, insulting, obnoxious, sexist or any such thing though, I must admit, I have yet to use the term to an adult male, apart from my own two grown up sons, and one of their friends who I have unofficially 'adopted' as one of my own ... but you may well have developed gestational diabetes.
You really need to tell your doctor(s) your findings as, I'm sure, they'll wish to carry out further testing on you to be on the safe side.
Normally, in a non-diabetic, the blood sugar (glucose) level would be expected to fall back below 120 mg/dL within 2 hours of eating, and preferably below 100 mg/dL.
I'm not sure how much you know about diabetes during pregnancy, and the risks to both mother and child, so I won't frighten you. I will say, however, that doctors would prefer your blood sugar level to be as close to 'normal' as possible.
Congratulations, by the way, on your pregnancy. May you have a successful pregnancy, and definitely no complications.
Blessings to you all.

Question: What is the signifigance of eating breakfast? I conducted an experiment on the effects of eating breakfast on a persons energy and daily activities for school and need some help stating the signifigance of doing this experiment.
Please help! It would be greatly appreciated!
I need to know why people would need to know why eating breakfast affects your energy and performance on daily activities.
Pleasee! thank you! :)
Answer: It kicks off the day and gives you energy you need to keep you going through the day without getting you tired.
If you eat when you are tired (i.e., just waking up) the food you eat will give you energy, hence people aren't tired or slow when performing daily activities. If you don't eat breakfast, however, it will have the opposite outcome. You will be tired and slow when performing daily activities. Hope this helps,
ADIDAS

Question: How important is eating breakfast? Recently I've been trying to get rid of a little "winter weight" so I've been running and eating healthier. Where does eating a good breakfast fit in? Or does it?
Answer: If your last meal is at 9 PM and you skipped breakfast the next day so that your first meal is at noon, you would have gone 15 hours without eating.
You would be much deeper in starvation mode than if you had breakfast. The longer you stay in starvation mode, the more it slows your metabolism. This is why people who skip breakfast are 4 times as likely to be overweight as those who do not.
