Question: How long do the side effects of effexor last? I have general anxiety disorder and started me on lexapro over a year ago. I had trouble climaxing during sex so she switched me to celexa then prozac. All SSRI's give me the same side effects so she put me on wellbutrin which I've been on for a while because I was tired of switching but it only helped a little. My new doctor added effexor w/ the wellbutrin. I'm having the sexual side effect, nausea, and headaches after 2-3 weeks from starting it. She said I didn't give it long enough. So, how long will it take for these effects to go away or should I ask for something else? I do like the med a lot for anxiety but hate the side effects. I just feel like I'm running out of options.
Answer: hey i am currently on effexor and yes its really a b itch. its a tradeoff at do you want sex...or no anxietty? i tried many meds and effexor actually has the least amount of sexual interfering side effect, but its still very significant. im not big on sex so its kewl for me...id recommend seeing your doctor
Question: What effects does bankruptcy have on someone for the rest of their life? Someone I know is filing for bankruptcy. I was wondering if there were any effects that bankruptcy would have on her as far as credit. Does bankruptcy go on any kind of personal record? I'm just wondering if she'll always have to worry that filing bankruptcy will effect her credit permanently or any other issues throughout her life?
Answer: Well, the first thing to be concerned with is whether any of your property is going to be seized for sale at auction during the liquidation process, but seeing as how most people filing for BK these days own basically nothing, that shouldn't be an issue. And there are the effect to their credit report, but again here, most people filing are in genuine financial distress, and aren't particularly keen on taking on debt ever again, so the actual credit implications shouldn't be much of a concern. However, many employers and landlords check credit reports, so it can be an impediment when finding a job or place to rent. But on the other side of that, there have been a huge surge in bankruptcy filings, and we're only at the tip of the iceberg; chapter 7 and 13 filings have risen to nearly 1 million this year. That's a 28% rise over 2007 and the year ain't even over. Over 5 million families could file next year, and that's a very conservative estimate. It would terrify you to know how many of the households in the USA are insolvent. While that doesn't bode well for the US economy, it does make people who have filed more attractive employees/lessees in relative terms - what, are companies just going to refuse to hire what could be up to 30% of the workforce once the depression is over? I don't think so.
Question: What are the effects of ethyl and petroleum ether on a developing fetus? I work with ethyl ether and pet.ether regularly doing testing required at work (under a fume hood). Do either ethers have negative effects (or any effects) on a developing fetus? I am 28 weeks pregnant and was just curious....I don't think there is any danger because the fume hood is operating, but just thought I would find out the effects of ethyl and pet.ether on an unborn child. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Answer: I have not done a literature search on this, but I am guessing that at the exposure you receive, observing good laboratory technique (probably low parts per million in air you breathe, for a few minutes max, per day), the risk to your fetus is too low to measure.
The risk was perhaps greatest between 0 and 12 weeks, and spontaneous abortion (miscarriage) was possibly, a greater risk than specific harmful effects to your baby at this time (or later in life). These risks are still probably extremely low - - for example - - equal to the risk from increased extraterrestrial radiation from taking one cross-country airplane flight at 35,000 feet.
One comment about these two types of compounds: ethyl ether is very different from "pet" (petroleum) ether, which is a mixture of hydrocarbons (similar to gasoline, for example). One thing they have in common is that both are absorbed very readily by the skin. Getting a drop on your skin might result in a much higher blood level than taking a direct deep breath of their "fumes". So, especially now while you are pregnant, it might be appropriate to wear gloves (if you are not already) during procedures that put you at risk for direct contact or a spill.
A century ago, ethyl ether was used for anesthesia, even during cesarean section and other childbirth. It was not generally associated with risks to the baby, in that setting.
Hope this helps.

Question: When do the effects of birth control start happening? When do the side effects of birth control start taking place. I swear I just started taking birth control for the first time yesterday and already today I feel different. Like I don't really have an appetite, which they said could be one of the side effects. Does it work that fast as far as the side effects go?
Answer: Yeah, you can start feeling side effects not long after you take your first pill.. as little as a couple of hours even.
When I began taking mine (Loestrin 24), I had a noticeably increased appetite. I've actually gained 5 pounds since I began taking it about 3 weeks ago. My birth control has even made me experience acne for the first time in my life. I had to order Proactiv because I was breaking out horribly.
Don't worry about your side effects now though. It can take up to three months for your body to get completely used to the hormones. Try your best to hang in there, and if things don't get better in three months ask your gynecologist to let you try a different brand.
Question: How does the pH value effects the taste as well as the effervescent effect? I found in the ingredients of the drinks contain compounds that makes the taste as well as the effervescent effect. Some of it are acids while others are something else. So, how does this effects the taste and the effervescent effect of the drink?
Answer: Lower pH (acidic) tend to produce a sour taste, while higher pH (basic) produces a bitter taste. In carbonated drinks, an acid and a base interact together and neutralize, releasing gas from the aqueous solution. This is the effervescent effect:
ex: citric acid + sodium bicarbonate ---> H20 + C02 + sodium citrate
Naturally, taste is also influential of other added ingredients in the drink..
Question: What are the effects of overheating on an engine? i lent my car (toyota corrolla - model 1994) to a friend (don't do it ever). he brought it back and said nothing but when i checked the car later i found traces that the radiator had smoked and that steam had burst out of the radiator cap. What effects could this have on a car's running. Does it effect the fuel usage, power created by the engine, or usage of Mobil oil??? What are its negative effects of overheating on an automobile?
As my car has manual transmission, The first change i noticed was in the speed with relevance to a specific RPM in a specific gear (5th Gear). it usually ran at 80k/hr on 2000 RPM (5 gear) but now it was arround 70k/h at that RPM. Is this temporary effect?
Answer: there could be some real major damage done by this happening.one of the worst parts of it is the head gasket could have blown ,and this causes a lot of other problems also, there's also the chance it may have warped a head on it,coolant in the oil would be a bad result also, basically there can be permanent damage done to this vehicle ,that cant be reversed in the engine its self,I'm not kidding you ,he may have really messed your car up real good, one wise piece of advice, never loan your car to any one,i hope it hasn't done any real damage to it,but i feel it may have ,because of the steam you spoke of with it,have it checked out i hope the news is good on it.
Question: What effects does sleep deprivation have on your body? I know that being tired is your body telling you, that you need to rest, but if you ignore that what type of effects does it take on you body and mind? Are there any seriouse effects that could cause long term problems or damage?
Answer: The effects, both long and short term are terrible. The worst part is that most people ignore these symptoms which only aggravates the problem in the long term.
Mark Mahowald, a professor of neurology at the University of Minnesota Medical School: "One complete night of sleep deprivation is as impairing in simulated driving tests as a legally intoxicating blood-alcohol level."
A week of sleep deprivation leads the body to act as if it were at more advanced stages of aging or even signs similar to type 2 diabetese.
Check the sources for further details, don't want to make this too long and wordy.
Take care of yourself and get some good sleep!
Question: What are the effects of a foreign war on a home city? I'm writing a paper on the effects of a foreign colonial war back home in Britain. My question is, typically not specifically, what are the effects - so far I'm thinking of political effects, such as political opposition; also thinking of economic/industrial, such as increased orders because of the war. Any others? Suppose loss of life if a regiment from the city is involved but this isn't the case here. Any help appreciated.
Answer: There are two very famous playwrites who wrote plays about foreign wars and their effect[s] upon the folk back home.
The first and foremost is William Shakespeare and in more recent time the world famous Irish playwrite George Bernard Shaw [Socialist].

Question: What are the effects of taking a multi vitamin, vitamin c, and two vitamin e gels everyday? What are the negative effects of taking all of these vitamins?
What are the positive effect? What effect would adding a vitamin a to my regimen have?
Answer: negative effects;
** too much vitamin c can be taxing on your body in the daytime, where you are detoxing, you are repairing (P52 error correction) and this should be done while you sleep
** some multivitamins contain small amounts of iron, which is an oxidant and works contrary to anti-oxidants
positive effects:
** you are detoxing
** you are repairing and protecting your body (anti-oxidants)
** multi-vitamin will protect your body against any shortages of vitamins that you lack from your diet
Question: What bad effects does pancake do to your health? I've been eating banana pancakes daily (their delicious!) and well i want to know the bad effects of pancakes if their are any because or else this will lead to a bad health. So if you got any info on the bad effects of pancakes, thanks!
Answer: There might be two things to worry about for your health question to be answered fully. The banana's have potassium in them. Great for your heart but too much potassium and it can also be really bad for it too. Potassium can cause damage to the heart so be careful about that. Then there is the batter that these pancakes are made with. The flour has carbohydrates. Too much of this will put the pounds on very quickly if you don't exercise routinely. I might be wrong, but this might carry complex carbs, which is an even larger problem all the way around. This will effect not only your waist but the gallbladder too. Then if you also add any type of syrup the sugar in that is packed full of deliscous calories any way you look at it you are eating allot of calories, carbs and potassium in just one plate. So, the key word is still moderation with anything you eat. Granted some things you will just prefer to eat, but that doesn't make it good for you either. If you are only eating these for one meal then count them wisely in one of the earliest, that way you have allot of time to work the calories off. The potassium and gallbladder effect you'll need to decide about. Now you can make an informed one. For any info on potassium and gallbladder problems you can go to webmd.com . Good luck and God Bless

Answer: there were no good effects.
Question: What are the side effects of hepatitis vaccinations? I just got my hepatitis b shots in school today, please tell me what the side effects are! I got some side effects like less energy and sore body parts but what are other side effects.
Answer: Serious side effects after administration of the hepatitis B vaccine are extremely rare. There have been some anecdotal reports of the association of hepatitis B vaccination with chronic illness such as autoimmune disorders. However, there have been no scientific data supporting these claims. Large-scale immunization exercises have been ongoing in many other countries and in the United States, and thus far there has been no association of hepatitis B vaccination with serious adverse events. No clear association has been demonstrated between hepatitis B vaccination and disorders such as Guillain-Barre syndrome, transverse myelitis, optic neuritis, and seizures. Even then, such alleged associations are still being studied to further ensure the safety of the vaccine. A recent study demonstrated that persons who developed rheumatoid arthritis following hepatitis B vaccination were actually genetically susceptible to rheumatoid arthritis, making it difficult to correlate the occurrence of rheumatoid arthritis with hepatitis B vaccination. Considering the large number of doses of HBV vaccine administered and the very low numbers of serious adverse reactions, it is possible that adverse reactions reported after hepatitis B vaccination may represent coincidence rather than causation.
Question: What were the effects of the credit crunch and recession on the british public? How did the credit crunch and subsequent recession effect the British public? Are there any articles on this topic on the web or books anywhere? I can't seem to find anything specific enough. Effects on general public in other countries too would also be helpful.
Thanks :)
Answer: prices on everything rose meaning some companies lost money as the input costs were higher than the output profits, because of this many businesses were forced to close down as they were in debt resulting in people losing their jobs and increasing unemployment rates.
because of the rising prices, lower class people were forced to take out loans, putting them in debt as well, some of which couldn't pay it back and were evicted from their homes.
the value of the pound sterling also fell dramatically.
Question: What are the effects of cleaning a tennis court? Okay, so, I am doing a project on Going Green in Bio this year. I am not to sure what the effects of cleaning the tennis court, which the trees are not green, there is glass everywhere, garbage and no trash cans near by. If I and some other were to clean up that area and maybe plant some more trees, what effect would it have toward the enviorment?
Answer: It would probably encourage others to keep the area clean and to do the same type of thing in other areas. Trees help keep the air clean and your plan sounds like a good one.
Good luck!!!
Question: What are the effects of touching/handling thermometer mercury? The other day, a friend of mine brought over some mercury he'd taken off some old thermometer. He then poured it in his hands and started playing with it. And when I say 'playing with it', I mean rolling it on his palms, etc. I told him it wasnt a good idea to play with that. Anyway, I was just curious on its effects, so:
What are the effects of handling mercury this way and what probable harm could the mercury have caused him?
Answer: It's only dangerous if he has a cut on his hand, or if it gets into his mouth. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it, but don't worry too much.
Question: What are the effects and/or side effects of a 22 year old female intaking protein powder? If you could list as many that you know of, it can either be good or bad. For example short term and long term effects, will it turn me looking like a man, etc.
Please only answer if you are sure of your answers or if you are a professional. Thanks.
Answer: lean muscle needs protien male or female it does not matter.protien helps you lose weight,it turns off hunger signals ,it also slows down the absorbtion of some carbs.preventing an insulin reaction.it feeds lean muscle mass which burns fat.without ample amount of protien the body will sometimes burn its own muscle to get at the protein it needs.some proteins have fillers and are hard to absorb,so i like the natural whey protiens from health food stores,no side affects unless your allergic to milk, then go with hemp proteins which may be better anyway.
