Exercise
Question: exercise!!!!!!!!!!? i want to loose weight simply by exercising and eating better food. i was wandering if any of you have any good exercise routines, diets, tips, advice, ect. I weigh 165 lbs. and i dont know exactly how much weight i wanna loose but i know i wanna loose a few inches from my stomach.
Answer: Hi. First of all there is a huge amount of info you can learn from my site, so please check it out. Especially the article called: "This is how to lose weight, be fit & get the body you want!"
Otherwise, just few points I will add here for you before you go over there:
1/ Nutrition (that's food) is responsible for 90% of the result. This means if you work out lots but eat lots of junk, don't expect much.
2/ Ultimately it is muscle which will bring you over the turning point. So building muscle is key.
3/ Remember, any movement at all for a minimum 60 minutes duration is great. I don't care if you wanna roll around on the floor, do jump rope, go run in the street or keep kicking the wall in your house. As long as you MOVE and get your heart rate up, you WILL lose calories.
If this answer and my website was useful to you, please select so I get points. thanks in advance.
Question: |Exercise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? with a 2hr exercise(HARD EXERCISE)an hr pilats and an hr bike for 7 days a week(everyday) how much will i lose and when will get thinner also will these help slim my thighs?
Answer: to actually see good results it takes a fair while, like 6-8 weeks, thats why so many people quit fitness programs. you just have to have patience. i recommend not doing the bike ride everyday, maybe only 3 days a week, because you will become very low on glycogen levels if it is an hour bike ride. after a few weeks, you should notch it up to 4 or 5 sessions a week if you really want to get fit quick. as for the thighs, that will help, to slim thighs it is better to do aerobic work, like big jogs or bike rides, not big leg weights, because that just adds muscle to the thigh, making them look bigger.
hope i helped
Question: EXERCISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!? ok so here's the deal, i have one month until my birthday and i plan on exercising every for the whole month. im going to do crunches, leg ups, pushups, pullups and walk every day and eat totaly healthy no junk food all healthy stuff like apples carrots and all vegetables and meat/protien. it's gonna be like rocky when he nonstop trains for his next fight. do you think ill get in shape and tone my body and lose overall body fat and get abs and pecs?
and cardio/walk or run everyday
Answer: What your results will be in 1 month depends on your condition when you begin. You won't go from "jello" body to ripped and fit in only 1 month, no.
You can be well on your way to losing weight and being fit however, with a 4 week start. You can lose about 4 - 12 lbs in one month without it being in an unhealthy manner or too fast.
Don't work the same muscle groups 2 days in a row, eat right and eat plenty (don't skip meals or restrict calories below 1200/day) and you should see "some" results by the end of a month. To what extent really depends on where you began and what your goals are.
Question: ExErCiSe...?? What are some exercises to lose weight on your face (like cheeks and chin) and your thighs???
Answer: That is going to be more diet than anything else. As you reduce in weight, so will your face. You can't do spot reduction with exercise.
One of the things I can suggest are Hot Yoga classes, or sitting in a steam room/sauna for an hour 3 times a week. Other than that, a nice tan and highlighting your facial features with makeup can do the trick too!
Question: EXERCiSE.....? DOES THE AB LOUNGE WORK ON FAT PEOPLE
JUST WONDERiNG
Answer: it will work for anybody but the thing is fat is between muscle and skin so you an get razor sharp abs but without burning the fat off you waont see the results
Question: Suggest an exercise plan for someone who is just starting to exercise. What types of exercise should they inc? Suggest an exercise plan for someone who is just starting to exercise. What types of exercise should they include? How long and how frequently should they perform each type?
Answer: the best exercises for beginners or for someone who hasn't done much for a long time would be to start of with gentle exercises, maybe a leisurely stroll, start with a gentle 20 minute walk 2-3 times a week for a few weeks then as you feel fitter start to walk faster and further, after a couple of months try adding some more exercises like push ups or sit ups, start off with as many as you can manage without hurting yourself and then gradually increase the number of repetitions.
before you start though see your doctor, explain that you want to start exercising and ask for a checkup to make sure there are no underlying medical conditions that would be made worse by the extra exercises

Question: Best exercise to get rid of love handles and work obliques? I've been trying to tone up my belly and have found good exercises for my abs, but I haven't found an exercise that really works my obliques. I've tried the classic bicycle crunch, but that never does a thing. Any suggestions on some really effective exercises for obliques?
Answer: Hi Chrissy,
Side crunches work both the external and internal obliques. Ideally you should be doing about 50 side crunches on each side of the body each day. Gradually work your way up to more, and don't rush. You may feel uncomfortable when doing these because it requires a bit of balance, but when you get into the swing of it, you are going to love them.
Also you can try twist-crunches: You lay in the crunch position, but instead of coming straight up and down when doing the crunch, touch your left elbow to your right knee and then your right elbow to your left knee. Try doing about 50-100 of these each day.
Often you'll find that your abs & obliques are a lot stronger and more defined than you realise, but you can't always see the definition until you cut down your body-fat to a lower percentage - but I'm sure you're probably aware of that.
Hope this helps,
Peter.
Question: What exercises are the best to burn fat without any exercise equipment? I am trying to eta healthy and exercise do I need some exercises to burn fat and calories that can be done within an hour.
Answer: Hi Sarah, Great question. Many people want to know the answer to this so here it is.
I enjoy push-ups and pull ups because they give a great workout for the upper body. My favorite stomach exercise is bicycle crunches. It uses the arms and legs at the same time you get enhanced work in your stomach muscles.
Reverse crunches are a great lower abdominal exercise to get rid of that stubborn lower belly fat. Long duration, steady-pace traditional cardio is also good.
Both your food intake as well as your training program are important if you are to get this right. You want to avoid processed foods and eat more organic natural foods.
Question: How to exercise without going to a gym? I normally go to a boxing gym to get my exercise in but recently my working patterns are making this very difficult. I live in a very small apartment and can't really make much noise. I also can't really go jogging outside because I live in a bit of a rough area and would only be home at night. I can't afford to go to a gym that would be open during the late nights, How can I get my exercise in? I hate it when I can't exercise and really need some tips on how to do it indoors.
Answer: You can pick up exersize bikes for really cheap, or you can get a mini trapette which is good exersize. If you don't want to spend any money at all, do you have a step in your apartment, this is a very good workout, just stepping up and down. How about a skipping rope? that is fantastic exersize and builds your fitness level up quite rapidly (I expect you used to do this at the boxing gym). Good luck and I hope you find something you enjoy!
Question: How to exercise and not lose weight or inches? When you exercise, what are some things to look out for when you're trying to exercise to tone up but not to lose weight or inches? For example, should your heart rate not go up? Should you just exercise until you feel the burn, pause, then start again?
Thanks for the tips!
Answer: Just eat enough, and you will not lose weight or inches.
Your heart rate has to rise and your have to feel the burn in order to get exercise at all, so you can`t avoid those!
Question: How much exercise is needed for the average Border Collie? I have two border collies and their exercise needs are very different! They both came from the same litter (I raised both as puppies) but one is a boy and the other is a girl. So far they are both 3 years old. The boy needs only around 30 minutes of exercise a day to be happy and calm while the girl can run for days on end before she gets tired! What's the normal amount of exercise needed for the average border collie?
Answer: As much exercise as you can give them. Also, give them a job to do (herding, obedience, agility, SOMETHING). They are working dogs, and have that mindset whether or not you work them, but they should always want to do a job or help you in some way.
Mine is a service dog, so she is always alert and focused, which can take a lot out of her, but I take her on a run first thing in the morning, on a walk on my lunch at work, and to the park for ball on the way home from work.
She also relies heavily on routine, and if you break that routine, no amount of exercise will calm her down. If you can put both pups on a schedule and keep to it fairly closely, do so. They will be much happier for it.
Question: What are ways to exercise without equipment? I'm trying to lose weight. I'm only 15 years old and it's hard for me to go to a gym or to buy exercise equipment to exercise in the house. The only thing really holding me back from going on a diet is exercise because i know it's hard to lose weight without exercise. Could someone help me?
Answer: there are actually a variety of ways you can exercise that don't require any type of specialized equipment. you can do calasentics (e.g. jumping jacks, running in place, push-ups, sit-ups, etc.)
cardio is always a good thing to do whether you're trying to shed pounds or not. start by going for short but brisk walks. as you build up your stamina start jogging/running.
another good workout is circuit training. its actually not that hard to do and it can help you keep from getting bored.
if you're looking for alternatives to weight training you can use can goods. another suggestion is to get an empty milk carton (the plastic jugs work best) because you can adjust the weight by the amount of water you add. it might not seem heavy but after a few reps you'll start to feel it. besides low weight and high reps is good for losing weight. if you need any help with setting up a circuit training e-mail me, i have experience in that area. but before you start any kind of diet or exercise program you should really consult your doctor just to make sure you do it safely.
Question: How is a regular exercise bike different than a spinning bike? The buzz lately is that you can burn about 500 calories, tone up and lose weight quickly by exercising for only 30 minutes on a spinning bike.
I have a regular exercise bike and cannot afford a spinning bike or classes. Would I be able to achieve the same results by exercising for 30 minutes a day on my exercise bike?
Please explain to me the difference between the two bikes and how they work differently to give different results?
Answer: The primary difference is the adjustability and the quality that goes into the drive mechanism. Spinning bikes, as the name implies, spin a weighted flywheel using the power of your legs. The tension you set, in conjunction with the weight of the flywheel, determine the resistance you feel. This provides a much more realistic effect in terms of how it uses your muscles. A old school excercise bike isnt as good at effectively targeting the muscle used and doesnt provide as much of a realistic cycling feel.
That said, if your goal is just to get a workout in you arent going to miss much. A competitive cyclist would notice the difference but a casual rider just looking to burn some calories probably will notice only the terribly uncomfortable saddle of an old excercise bike.
Think of it as the diffference between running wind sprints vs. running parachute assisted acceleration sprints.... Unless you're a pro athlete working on dropping your 40yd times, wind sprints is just fine. Similar situation here. If you're gonna be heading to the races, start spining.. If you just want a workout save the money.
PS- If you get serious about riding and you really want the best set-up, IMO its using your road bike on resistance trainer like the cycleops fluid2 or something similar. It lets you keep your cockpit setup (duh, its your bike) but gives you the indoor training option for those shoddy days when you dont want to go outside and ride.
