Question: How do I avoid food while working at a fast food restaurant? I am currently in high school and i work many hours at a fast food restaurant. I am trying to lose weight and exercise regularly, but working at the fast food restaurant seems to get in the way. I find myself eating the fries and ice cream, and it is almost impossible to tell myself no. Does anyone have tips on how to fight this?
Answer: I have to say that when I worked at the Dairy Queen in high school, it took several weeks. After making the food, coming home smelling like burgers, it wasn't hard to skip eating meals at work. I would bring fruit to snack on.................
Maybe you need to make a break. Bring healthy snacks to nibble on when you get hungry. Make a conscious effort to not eat fast food. Make a health choice and stop drinking pop & milk shakes! Only drink water when you are working...........
Good luck! I know this will be hard but you CAN do it!!!!!

Question: I have a work at fast food restaurant but have planned to shift to other job? Even its not my preference or what I really like and because of our present economy, I took a job in a fast food restaurant as food server ( I worked more than one month now). But I still want to have a job as an administrative staff in which I used to be when I worked from other country. Is it appropriate to put in resume my work experience in the restaurant but the job position I'm applying is admin. assistant in an office enrivronment? Will I be qualified for the position? Thanks.
Answer: You are working as a food server. In your resume it is vital that you use your experience highlighting the key areas which are similar in both work. Such as you can add, worked as a team member fulfilling customer needs. Serving customers to their satisfaction, managing and sorting out customer orders with other restaurant staff making sure that they are served as requested.
You can also add, working in restaurant I managed to get experience meeting deadlines and under pressure with taking full responsibility of serving customers while keeping management goals of keeping staff members and customers happy.
Just writing a title as a food server will have a little chance of success but describing it in a best possible way will get you the job you are looking for.
Question: How can a fast food restaurant inprove its speed of service? How can a fast food restaurant inprove its speed of service
I'm a shift manager at a White Castle and I'm supposed to come up with a creative way to improve my speed of service. Can you guys help me? hanx in advance and any ideas will be appreciated.
Answer: I'm not being racist when I say this, but make sure all your employees speak English well. Because I notice there is a lot of confusion that may happen and may delay order taking when there are either customers or employees that do not speak English. Also, I think a creative way is to reward your employees. Say come up with a goal time, like 2:20 from order to getting their meal in the drive through. If they can make that time, they get a free meal or something kind of cool. Or keep a record book and then the "shift" who has the best record gets movie tickets or something. Make sure your crew knows what is expected of them, etc.
Question: How do i get food produced for a fast food restaurant? I have a idea for a fast food restaurant but dont know where to get my recipes mass produced.
Answer: why do you need your recipes mass produced? To start out you need one prototype restaurant, build up the clientelle base, then sell franchises. That's how it works. But it all starts with one restaurant!

Question: What classifieds a restaurant to be a fast food Restaurant? This is hopefully a simple question that can get answered. I'm asking this due to the fact that i recently when to a place that classified themselves as NOT being a fast food restaurant.
Answer: Fast food Restaurant (also known as Quick Service Restaurant or QSR within the industry itself) is the term given to food that can be prepared and served very quickly. While any meal with low preparation time can be considered to be fast food, typically the term refers to food sold in a restaurant or store with preheated or precooked ingredients, and served to the customer in a packaged form for take-out/take-away. Regular restaurants start making the food when it is ordered and is not precooked. This makes service longer lasting between 20-45 minutes.
Question: What is the hiring process at a fast food restaurant? What is the hiring process at a fast food restaurant? When I turn in an application, how long will it take to get an interview if they are in fact hiring? Never had a job before and really need one to help pay for school, just trying to understand the whole process.
Answer: you go in, fill out a four sentence application (your name, address, if you've worked before and telephone #)
if they're hiring, they'll say, "wait here. someone will be with you shortly." The person will ask why you want to work there (don't say money, even if it's true. Say something like, "I like the food", or "You sound like a good company to work for".
Then they'll say, :how much do you want, and you say, (whatever you really will take plus a dollar), and you both meet in the middle BUT you'll probably get minimum.
then they tell you what the clothing requirements are and 90 percent of the time, they'll say come back for orientation.
It's not a hard process. Very easy and fast, and designed that way because turnover is high.
--listen, fast food is bad. The pay isn't good, the conditions are bad--hot grease, filtering hot grease, burns and cuts, overwork, chemicals for the floor and cleaning, degreaser burns and it's just overall, not a good place for anyone, much less children still too young to stand up for themselves. If you have a spare day or two, broaden your search pattern and hit the local mall too. Maybe the kiosks or retail shops. Even the grocery store. Sometimes your school (through the guidance offie?) has jobs for students.
good luck
