Question: Does anyone have any good recommendations for otc fatburners? In my younger days Dexatrim worked well but now that Im in my late twenties that doesnt seem to do as good a job. Does anyone have any suggestions to help suggest an over the counter fat burner that WORKS??
Answer: most of them either dont work or arent good for you. youre better off putting the $30 or however much that stuff costs per bottle toward a gym membership.

Answer: Right on the money!! Fat burners will speed up your heart in most cases do to caffine and other stimulants in them. If he is talking heart medicine he should consult a doctor about taking fat burners.
Fat burners don't usually make you hallucinate but they will make you angry/short tempered if your crashing and in some cases while your on them...

Question: Do green tea fatburners work? I bought some and am a bit hessitant.... do they work? I do plan to continue doing cardio on a daily basis.
Answer: yes, green tea extracts do work. unfortunately due to deceptive marketing practices they should not really be labeled as "fat burners". at most you will see a 2-3% increase in fatty acid oxidation over a 24hr period.

* you have to realize that when it comes to fat loss there are many small pieces to the puzzle. how have to count calories, increase water intake, increase protein intake, increase soluble fiber intake, decrease processed carb/sugar intake, increase healthy fat intake, increase intake of fruits and veggies. you see steady results when you do all of these things or as many as possible in addition to increasing regular exercise. and you have to do it consistently for a period of time. that's when you really start to see results and you will lose more body fat and preserve or even increase the amount of lean body mass that you have.
there are no quick and easy ways to safely lose body fat. it takes a significant amount of time to increase body fat levels and it will also take a significant amount of time to decrease body fat levels.

Answer: any of the so called 'fat burners will speed ur heart rate, that's how they work something like amphetamines. best way is to cut your fat intake and limit ur carb intake. Yes you need carbs to give you energy for the workout but by limiting them to just before the workout and not after you'll force the body to burn the fat it has stored for the energy it needs, also increase your aerobic/cardiac workout to burn that stored fat.
Google 'Herschell Walker' (ex-football player) and see if you can get any info on his workout schedule, he was always ripped and did it only thru diet and workouts.

As much as many people don't want to hear it, exercise and a health diet is the ONLY effective way to lose weight. Sorry if it's not what you wanted to hear, but it's the truth.
Spend you money on "miracle pills" or supplements, and all you've done is wasted that much money on something that will not help you at all.
Take my word, I have been studying nutrition and exercise for over 10 years, and I will tell you right now that there is NO weight loss aid that will make you lose weight faster than eating right and working hard.

Answer: It may do, but it may also muck up your system. They only have a very limited time effect too...3 weeks max and you may find that after you stop taking the pills your weight will go up again.

They are a little bit like the effects of mild methanphetamines. I'd avoid their long term use. they are linked to heart problems.

Question: I need help with fatburners? I have been working out for quite a few months now and haven't dropped as many pounds as I would have hoped. Answer: Fat Burners do not work, they are loaded with caffene and other stimulates to make your heart pump faster. It will not burn fat for you, it will supress your appetite, but thats not good either if you are trying to lose weight in the long run.
Losing weight is not fast or easy, its a long road that isnt fun. Keep eating right and excersizing, you will see results eventually. Running is great for losing weight, your metabolism will eventually be really high and the pounds will melt off.

Answer: I highly recommend losing the weight slowly and correctly. I guarantee the faster you lose it, the faster it will come right back. The last thing you want to do is crash diet and really mess up your metabolism. Remember, it didn't take you 3 months to put on all the extra weight, so it definitely will not take only three months to lose it. The safest total weight loss per week is 1 pound. There is 3,500 calories in a pound of body fat, so in order to lose 1 pound, you simply need to create a 500 calorie deficit per day. Over the course of a week, this equals out to 3,500 calories or 1 pound.
The best way to hit this 500 number every day is to create a 250 calorie deficit through your diet and another 250 calorie deficit through cardio exercise. Remember, you want to fuel your body with high nutrient foods and keep your metabolism "stoked" throughout the day. The worst thing you can do is limit your food intake to severely which will cause your body to go into starvation mode and hold onto your body fat reserves. Your body is thinking its getting ready for a period of famine and will hold onto all the energy it can to survive this period. Answer: What on earth do you speak of? Don't get into all this high science weight loss and muscle gain stuff. It's all a fad. Less calories, more action, varing lifting positions recruit more muscle fiber for "cutting"
