Question: What are the best fibers for baby blankets? What are the best fibers for knitting or crocheting a baby blanket? Acrylic, wool, blends?
Answer: Acrylic IS easy to care for and inexpensive but does pose a fire hazard.
Natural fibers are softest for baby skin - cotton, wool ... or for the more extravagant, how about a silk-cashmere blend? Or for slightly less 'splurge', a bamboo/ cotton blend? They feel divinely soft!

Question: What fibers are commonly used in winter clothing? what type of fibers are used in winter clothing?
such as a windcheater usually have cotton because its lightweight and breathable but still warm.
Answer: The earliest were probably animal skins and furs. Bird feathers are often used, with down considered the finest. Wool, if not over-treated, retains excellent insulating and water-repelling properties. Cotton is cheap, and has fairly good insulating properties if it's thick enough and not overly compressed. Flannel is a good choice for shirts, corduroy or denim for pants. Nowadays, fashion trumps practicality, so anything goes.

If you don't have any bread, you can look up nutritional information at calorieking.com or calorielab.com. You can also find info there on bananas.
Good luck!

Question: What is the name of the condition where celery fibers collect in the stomach? What is the name of the condition in which undigested celery fibers are not passed through the stomach and collect to form celery wire balls? I swear I've heard of it and haven't been able to find any references describing the condition.
Answer: Gastroparesis is when the stomach is slow to empty, so that isn't what is being referred to here.
The ball in the stomach would be a bezoar. Bezoars can be made up of hair or other non-food items. I've never heard of celery causing this, but I guess if you eat enough of it, it could happen.

Question: Is it normal for carpet fibers to come up this long? Our landlord put new carpet in our apartment a few months ago. He told us to vacuum at least once a week and the carpet fibers should stop coming up within a month. We have vacuumed probably 20 times and the fibers are still coming up. Is this normal? Is there any way to get the fibers to finally stop coming up? It's really annoying to have to clean out our vacuum so often (changing the bag and removing excess carpet fibers from the roller brush) and it makes it hard to move any furniture around.
Answer: I've never heard of it being quite that bad. Maybe contact your landlord about it, but it should stop soon. I have not had that problem with new carpet.
Question: What generalizations can you make about the properties of natural fibers? Are there some properties which they all have in common? If so, what are they? What generalizations can you make about synthetic fibers?

All man-made fabrics are kind of suffocating by themselves. By suffocating, I mean that they don't seem to let my skin "breath" if that makes sense.
