Fluid Consumption
Question: What are the problems associated with too little and too much fluid? What are the problems associated with too little and too much fluid prior
to, during, and after exercise? Give an example of a recommendation regarding fluid and electrolyte consumption that would be appropriate for an athlete in one sport but inappropriate for an athlete in a different sport.
Answer: any athleate will need to consome far more liquids than a relaxing human, to little can result in de hidraction, and their inturnal orgens will start to shut down, to much and they can expeareance their orgens explode inside them, like 2 galons without moving or going to the bathroom
Question: Does orange skin mean that a raw chicken is not safe for consumption? It is blotchy orange in spots, and acts like it is a fluid.
Could it be blood and water suspended in the skin? The package indicates use or freeze by 23 September, and it has no smell.
Answer: It is fine!
Growing up on a farm, our free range chickens were always yellow/orangy, not the pale appearance of todays sanitary bred, hothouse chickens.
It is has been kept refrigerated, and is not past it's Sell By date, and if it smells O.K., use it, make a yummy dinner!
Question: Does drinking more water lower your blood pressure? My dad has high blood pressure, and he just doesn't drink much fluids. We'll go hiking in hot weather, and he will drink only a few sips of soda every few hours while I drink several bottles of water. Can his lack of fluid consumption be raising his blood pressure?
Answer: With respect to your example yes.
The situation is that water cannot get into your system easily once you start to de-hydrate, its all a matter of osmotic pressure. That is why you see "Isotonic" drinks they raise the osmotic pressure of the drink with dissolved stuff like sugar, glucose, & salts. High osmotic pressure drink will be absorbed faster. I n theory if you are very dehydrated & drink pure water , the water would absorbe salts from the blood & only diffuse though later once its concenrtation had raised. Hence your thirst is not quenched.
By the way, soda will create CO2 pressure in the stomach & help the water overcome the osmotic pressure.
To help fix you dad's high blood pressure you need Gingko biloba (>60mg conc. extract/day)and Lecithin granules (heaped tablespoon/day) Former gets capillaries woking better & latter cleans out the debris in the blood system.
Question: Coffee impact on overall water consumption? I had been told that coffee has a negative impact on your daily fluid intake because it is considered a diuretic. As an example, if you require 100 ounces of water daily, if you drink 8 ounces of coffee, you need to drink 108 ounces of water daily. This never made sense to me, so I pose this question.
If you were in the desert, and only had coffee to drink, would you die of dehydration ?
Answer: if i did'nt have my coffee to drink i would die anyway.. take my coffee away and i'll hurt you haha
Question: 1985 crown Vic FUEL CONSUMPTION? i recently did a full tune up on this car. plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel pressure regulator, trans filter fluid change and fuel filter. it seems to be using alot of fuel. i believe this car has a 20 gallon tank at smallest 15 and i am getting lil over 100 miles to a tank. i have owned 4 of these cars and i know they get alot better than that. any ideas please feel free to give them.
Answer: Don't go chasing bad MPG unless you are sure of it. You could be spending time and money chasing ghosts. So try this experiment first:
(a) fill the tank to the max
(b) get on the HWY - late night / no traffic hour
(c) drive about 20 to 30 miles (at 55 MPH)
(d) use cruise control - very important
(e) note the EXACT MILES
(f) get off and immediately get gas
(g) note the EXACT GALLONS
Now you can calculate the MPG by
MPG = MILES (step e) / GALLONS (step g).
The reason you start out with full tank is that is the "repeateable" condition. You want to avoid traffic so you don't use the brakes on the HWY. Braking will negatively affect the MPG calculation. You use the cruise control so you and eliminate your driving habit as a factor.
Without a good MPG calculation you might be wasting your money chasing ghosts. Also you can repeat this test anytime you feel like you car is not running right. You can also try the same thing but off the cruise control to check how much your driving habit affect the MPG. etc.
Good Luck.
Question: Power consumption measurement in Ultrasonic generator device? i'm using an ultrasonic generator and a probe to apply ultrasonic vibrations on particles in water but i want to find out how much is the power which is going into the fluid not the nominal power which is written on the device so could you please help me and let me know how can i do this using a current meter and volt meter that i have?!!
Answer: Connect the voltmeter across the probe wires (positive and ground). This gives you the voltage. Put the current meter on the probe wire and measure the current. Then use power (Watts) = voltage (Volts) X current (Amps).
If the current changes over time, take multiple samples for a time period then workout the average and use this value in the equation.
Before doing this just check that the probe does carry an electrical current because I don't know how an ultrasonic generator works. If it doesn't then ignore this and scrap the idea of using a voltmeter and a current meter to measure the power cosumption.
Question: Cooling down after exercise is important to? a. boost oxygen consumption.
b. spread synovial fluid within the joints.
c. restore circulation to its normal resting condition.
d. maintain blood flow to the extremities.
Answer: C.
Cooling down is important because if you don't your heart will keep beating at a high rate while your muscles don't use this excess blood and it will cause "pooling" of blood in your lower extremity

Question: 91' Acura Legend temp guage shows very hot ? but the engine is not hot. Electric fans at radiator are running, no radiator fluid consumption. Before the guage reaches the red zone, the heater is producing heat but after gauge is in the red zone, heater blows cold air. I am completely baffled. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Answer: bad sensor
Question: Stomach fluid retention? Please read the entire question and be specific. Thanks!? I am very slim and always had a very flat stomach until two months ago. I noticed the change and now knows it is water retention as what is in my stomach is water not fat. I can see the water moving when in certain positions ... (weird). So, how do I loose it? I already cut my salt intake (I know I ate too much salt and stopped but no change so far), I walk an hour a day, go to Pilates when my schedule permits (not often enough) and already used to do it before the change and I eat slowly and healthy and drink water (I increased my consumption). I don't drink sodas, not my thing nor beer or alcohol in general. My stomach gets huge after a meal, that wasn't so much the case before then it goes down but not like it used to. Any other suggestions? I am thinking water tablets, psyllium husk and dandelion. Ever tried? Real results? How fast? I HATE that new stomach and do not intend to keep it. Thanks!!!
Answer: Did you ever consider that your metabolism may have changed just now? It happens to all of us, and a little more stomach is often the result. Ask your Doctor if you're at the age for your sex that it happens, and if so, just accept you new "prosperity" but keep at the same exercise and eating regimen. Time sits still for no one.
Question: 1992 Buick Century-Burning Smell Coming from the vents and increased fuel consumption...? I own a 1992 Buick Century. Recently the hose to my radiator came off. I had a really bad leak but it was reclamped and I have been watching my fluid levels. All appears clear. No leaks and fluid levels strong. Though lately I've been noticing a burning smell coming out of my air vents even if the heat is not on. The smell isn't all the time usually only after I just start the car. Then it goes away usually or when I'm in town with lots of starts and stops it comes back. Is this smell coming from where the antifreeze may have leaked and it is now getting warm? Also I have noticed an increase in my fuel consumption...I haven't been driving more or letting my car warm up. The weather is getting colder, does that make a difference in how much gas I use? I'm not panicking but want to know if I should worry. Also I have noticed no problems with my heat. The very large belt that is noticeable on the left side of the engine has no apparent wear either. Can someone maybe offer a clue or tell me that I'm over reacting? Thanks so much.
On the comment about the oil...I'm wondering now if that may be what is happening. Would my oil levels be dropping if this were occuring?
Answer: my oldsmobile was the same way. i could smell something strong and it was stronger when i turned on the heater. it was the valve pan leaking in the back. oil was running down on the manifold.
Question: Dan spends an evening with the boys at the local tavern. During the course of the night he makes numerous...? trips to the rest room to urinate. In addition to drinking and excessive amount of fluid, what effects does the consumption of alcohol have on the urinary system to cause urination?
Answer: as far as your liver and kidneys are concerned alcohol is a 'toxin' and therefore needs to be metabolized and removed from the blood stream... and the more drunk you are, the harder you body is going to work to remove the toxin resulting in frequent urination!
Question: If your body was a car, would you buy it? With all the grooming, the cleaning the trimming. Theres the inefficient fuel consumption, the constant fluid replacement, and the weird smell coming from the trunk.
What would you add or subtract to make your body better? More efficient? More user friendly?
Answer: Sure! It's gotten me wherever I wanted to go; picked up it's "share" of pretty "hitch-hikers" along the way; still gets GREAT miles-per-gallon... AND, it's had surprisingly FEW "breakdowns"- considering some of the rough "roads" I've taken it over... So by & large, I certainly got a good deal on THIS model, & would buy it again- in a heartbeat. :)
Question: Describe how the events listed below would change urine composition and urine output or volume? Describe how the events listed below would change urine composition and urine output or volume.
Dehydration
Prolonged exercise/sweating
Drink forced fluids (3 liters)
Consumption of too much salt
Excessive alcohol intake
Answer: I'll try to help...
so dehydration and prolonged exercices/sweating have the same result : "loss of water". this will push the kidney to produced concentrated urine (less water in it and more solutes).
drink forced fluids has the opposite effect: production of dilute (extremely dilute if 3L) urine.
consumption of too much salts: I'm not sure about that, but water moves in accord with salts, so too much salts in your body will maintain the water in your body, so your kidneys will produce concentrated urine (bcz less water is to be excreted).
excessive alcohol intake: I don't know concerning the alcoholic part of the liquid, but alcohol are liquids and should have the same effect as drinking fluids (3rd one).
hope this is what you needed.
Question: I ate marijuana brownies, How long till it's out of my system? I ate marijuana brownies this past Friday for the first time, some friends convinced me to do it. However, I am in the process of joining the Navy, and have a drug test coming up. I never smoke, eat or any other type of consumption of marijuana. I exercise regularly, drink plenty of fluids and don't eat junk. Any advice? Please don't lecture me about it, I know I shouldn't have done it, I feel bad enough already.
Answer: Don't feel bad, it was your choice and I really hope that you at least had a good time while high and didn't become anxious because of the decision you made.
If this was your only time consuming marijuana then don't worry. It'll be out of your system in about a week or 2, but if you have your test before that, then I recommend that you kill yourself exercising the night before and drink plenty of water. And just before the test still drink a lot of water and if you really want to play it safe, then buy a detox treatment which are usually sold in beverage form and should be taken 3 hours before the test and also with a lot of water.
So be cool man! Everything will work out and you will do just fine. =)
And November is ever so close, so cross your fingers so that Prop 19 gets passed so that you can consume marijuana without the guilt you felt when you consumed those brownies.

Answer: Yogurt. Blue Bonnet or Blue Bell, can't remember the brand name. It is in a yellow and pink bottle in the yogurt section. Drinkable. Lo Carb. About 1.07 at the local Walmart. I use it as a meal every 3 hours. Yogurt has been proven to beat belly fat. However, alot of the yogurt out there is like granola, supposed to be healthy but now it is loaded with ALOT of bologna. Make sure you read the label and make sure it is not loaded with carbs/sat fats.
Question: When do christians decide to quote a verse from the Old Testament? How do christians decide which is applicable and not?
1. Shellfish consumption
2. Gay people
3. Pork
4. Lying
5. Stealing
6. Rape
7. Allowance to kill women and children in war
8. Consumption of other unclean food
9. Stoning of rebellious children
10. Prohibition of entering into God's presence if there are body fluids.
and many more.
How do christians decide which are applicable and which are not??
Answer: The ones you are referring to are some who have not learned how to handle aright the word of God. There are many "Christians" who proof-text their arguments instead of researching what God has said in the past (OT) and what He expects in the present (NT) At times there are differences in specifics between the Old and New Covenants, but the expectations righteousness are similar.
