The allergy books tend to have really weird things in them.

Question: I am trying to publish a cooking book and I need more recipes ideas. Where can I go to get free recipes ideas? I am trying to publish a cooking book and I need more recipes ideas. Where can I go to get free recipes ideas that I can use in my book?
Answer: I am a writer, and I just want to tell you...
Free recipes are free for your use, but they still remain the copyright of the author. If you copy recipes from a free website, it is plagerism. If it is published, you can be sued for copyright infringement.
The only way to avoid this would be to get permission from each person who published the recipe, and to credit them in the cookbook.
Of course, your best bet would probably be to experiment and create your own.
Question: What are some good vegan and gluten free recipes? I've been vegan, and now want to try out gluten free ALONG with vegan, what are some good recipes? I feel like if it's vegan it's got gluten, and if it's gluten free it's not vegan. Help!
thanks!
Answer: I live like that everyday, and I can tell you there is an abundance of food.
Check out www.fatfreevegan.com and browse through the recipes, I can make most of the things there with a little brown rice flour instead.
I've made all these on a regular basis, they're good. But I don't have a single recipe for dinner things, I seem to do it all on the fly.
Breakfast
Pseudo cereal:
2-4 kinds of ground up seeds, about ¼ cup of each Flax, Pumpkin, Sunflower, Sesame.
A Handful of raisins and “Yu” basmati rice milk sweeten this up a lot, its almost unpalatable without them
For more texture and nutrition I’ve added the following in small handfuls to my cereal bowl: Hemp Seeds, rice crisp cereal, gogi berries, dried fruit, salba seeds, brown rice protein powder (only ½ a serving)
This food in particular has saved me many times; you can grind up a few meals worth and keep it in one big container in the fridge, and bring my own dairy substitute in bottle. Good for when I’m staying at someone else’s house or away from home for long periods.
Millet and Apple “Oatmeal”
½ cup millet and 1 ½ water in a small saucepan bring to a boil and gently simmer for 20-25 minutes
Add to chopped apples (big pieces) at any time during cooking but I add them at the start, it is mostly apple sauce that way
1 tbsp of cinnamon, or a few sticks and any of the following: whole star anise, Chinese 5 spice a rooibos chai tea (leave in for a few minutes then remove, or its quite strong)
once cooked remove from heat. At this point you can add raisins and any nuts you like (pecans and walnuts go well), but I love this with Cranberry Delight, a nut/fruit mixture from NoFrills, found where you get trail mix. This adds some much needed texture so that it isn’t just mush.
This is fine made the night before and refrigerated, heat and serve.
Lemon Chews
Yield: 9 cookies
Dry Ingredients

scant ½ tsp pure stevia powder or 2 tbsp honey or agave syrup (add to wets)
½ tsp baking soda (sift into dry ingredients)
Wet Ingredients
2 tbsp coconut oil or nut butter
2-3 pears ( to yield 2/3 c grated)
zest of 3 lemons (about 1 tsp zest)
1.thoroughly combine dry ingredients
2.cut oil or nut butter into dry ingredients until it resembles a fine meal
3.coarsely grate pear and stir into dry ingredients with lemon zest ( as well as honey/agave if using)
4.if needed sprinkle as little cold water as possible, stirring briefly between additions, until a soft dough is formed, test sweetness, adjust if necessary
5.form dough into 2 tbsp balls and flatten by hand to ¾ inch thickness onto parchment paper
6.preheat oven to 350, if you have time place cookie tray in fridge for a few minutes
7.bake 10-20 minutes (longer if using honey or agave), or until surface is firm and set, but gives a little when pressed and cookies slide back and forth on paper.
You can make Mexican food easily, find pure corn tortillas/wraps
use millet or quinoa in salads, stir fry's or as a couscous substitute.
Find Braggs liquid Aminos for a soy sauce.
Falafel are usually GF.
