Question: What are qualities of a good health care worker? What type of qualities would you want your health care worker to have.
Like compassion, good social skills. ETC.
And if you can how do those qualities help make a good health care worker?
Answer: I think being non judgemental is extremely important. You want to be able to talk to your health care professionals without feeling embarrassed or like you're scum. empathy is important too, put yourself in your clients shoes so you can understand how they feel and so you can explain things to them in language they will understand.
the most important things you want from a health care professional is good treatment and to do that you need to understand what is wrong and what needs to be done about it and you want to feel like what you say is not being judged and no one else will find out about it which comes down to the health care workers attitude and whether it inspires trust. and both of these come from a good, non judgemental attitued and empathy
Question: What is a good health insurance for children with special needs? My son is on a feeding tube due to a small bowel transplant he received last year. My husband and I are returning to a full work schedule and our health insurance (Tricare) does not cover a nurse for him, or special daycare because his only special need is the feeding tube and the medication he receives through it. Apparently that's not enough. So is there a good company that I can purchase insurance through who will cover these types of things for him?
Answer: Try this site
usainsurancequotes.net
Here you can compare quotes from different companies
Question: Where can i find a good health insurance to pay for eye surgery? Well I do not have health insurance and I was just wondering? Does anyone know of a good health insurance that would pay a large sum of money if I do get this surgery?
Answer: I don't know if you'll be able to get Health Insurance with a pre-existing condition but you can always try the National Eye Institute, which supports eye research, they dont help individuals pay for eye care, however, if you are in need of financial aid to assess or treat an eye problem, you might find one or more programs at their site below:
http://www.nei.nih.gov/health/financialaid.asp
Also, getting quoted is free so you have nothing to lose by shopping around, these http://moneysavecenter.com/health/ will compare 12 carriers filling out just the one form so I saves a lot of time.
Hope you find something!
Question: What's a good job with good health insurance not needing a degree or experience? I'm a college student looking to find a good job that has affordable health insurance all on which i can find an affordable place to live.
Most factory's that have these benefits start with a low pay rate that doesn't seem worth it (after gas is taken out). Any ideas?
Answer: Government jobs are always a great way to go.
Although the pay is never anything to be wondrous about, the benefits are phenomenal - usually free healthcare, etc. A lot of their jobs do not require a degree, and they offer pretty legitimate job security. Not to mention there's not any take-home work, it's a straight up 9-5

Question: What dollar value would you consider good health to be worth? These days you can put a dollar value on almost anything. I was just wondering if there was any studies on the dollar value of good health, and what the general thoughts were on this. Any value suggestions are good.
Answer: Of course you could put a dollar value on it, and it's most definitely not infinite or priceless. That happens when people have to pay for health care. "Good health" is too unspecific though, there is no measurable transaction to gain "good health". But you could specify things and certainly measure the value of fixing a broken leg or getting a cancer removed or getting a heart bypass.
The problem when it comes to placing a value on things is that societies always treat healthcare differently from other markets, so that we usually don't get a chance to price the market and see what happens.
Either you get socialized medicine where health care is nominally "free", but the government makes the decisions about rationing, and so the government actively denies service and condemns the unlucky people to pain and death (which happens in ALL universal coverage scenarios, without exception). Or, you get an equally dysfunctional system like in the U.S. where the consumer is shielded by the cost if they are well covered by 3rd party insurance, but some people are not covered and the system is inefficient and distorting market signals.
So the answer is that governments and insurance companies place a specific value on "good health" all the time, but it's not necessarily an accurate measure of that value, as value is usually discovered and measured for every other thing in the economy.
Question: How can you mantain good health? I need to know how you can mantain good health. I am doing a presentation on it and there are boys and girls around the age of 12. So please tell me some good ways to mantain good health. You must put a website of where you found EVERYTHING! If there is something you wrote about maintain good health that is not in the website you gave me then I will not choose you as best answer! Sorry I am being so bossy! I need to know though!
Answer: I can answer your question but it is just from my years of exerience as a health care provider and not from any website. Maintaining good health is all about diet and exercise.
Portion sizes are the most important part of losing weight and keeping it off. 5-6 small meals a day around 1,800 to 2,000 calories and dont make it a fad diet, make it the way you eat/lifestyle change. Proof - Summo wrestles eat 1 large meal everyday, they have been doing this for decades because they know that eating like this will hold the most fat and get them large. So, what we need to do to stay healthy and fit is the exact opposite, eat alot through the day. It will increase your metabolism because you are just giving your body enough to live on and not slamming your body with more food then what you need, causing sugar spikes which make you tired. This type of diet is what we recommend to diabetics. It is also good to eat health food such as fruit and veggies and cut out junk food, everyone know this. But the most important thing is to not eat alot in one sitting. As soon as you sit down at a restuarant ask for a to go box and put half your food in that. And everyone needs at least 30mins of exercise a day. Other good health tips for kids is to brush their teeth twice a day, b/c losing teeth is actually bad for your health. As you lose your teeth you lose the ability to eat vegtables and fruits, decreasing the quality of the food you eat. Also important to wash hands regular to avoid cold and getting sick. For references you dont always need a book or a website to quote something but can also use people who are qualified in that field. You can email me for that information if you want.

Question: What is a good health insurance provider in Texas? My mom gets sick very often and would like to purchase some health insurance since she isn't eligible for MedicAid. What's a good health insurance provider in Texas?
Answer: If your Mom gets sick a lot, you are probably going to have a hard time finding her insurance unless she goes to work for some LARGE company that has "group insurance."
Most companies that write individual health insurance would exclude "pre-existing conditions" for normally two years or more, depending on the ailment.
Good luck and I hope this helps!

Question: What is the best wayof obtaining good health? In my opinion normal diet plus going to SALAH (Islamic prayer) five times daily regularly with full attention to AL-MIGHT GOD(ALLAH) IS THE BEST WAY OF HAVING GOOD HEALTH.
For non-muslims abstaining from all bad habits and things and ignoring all worries is the key to good health.
Answer: Good health in terms of a healthy body can be obtain with good nutrition. Unfortunately the food consumed today no longer have the nutrition it use to have. For the most part, food is processed and obtained at a local supermarket. Its not the same as the food back in our home lands. To acquire better health we must turn to supplementation. Nutritional supplements are the safe guards from degenerative diseases.

Question: What are the visable signs of a good health in dog? Shiny coat, bright eyes, etc. What else? What would a vet look for it if had to determine whether a dog was in good health or not?
Answer: I know that a way to tell if a dog is hydrated is to grab the skin on the back of it's neck, and pull it (not like yank it, just tug it back gently) and let go. If it takes too long for the skin to go back to the way it was before you touched it, it is dehydrated.
Question: Can old cats in good health become senile? I have an 18 yr old cat in good health, but she seems increasingly confused. (Meowing at walls, sitting in the middle of the road, chasing imaginary things, etc.) The vet said she is healthy.
Answer: Senility
Many owners spoke of a number of character changes and unusual behaviour which they have, possibly quite correctly, interpreted as senility. A blank expression, getting lost in familiar surroundings, constant yowling, lack of grooming, continuous pacing, inappropriate toileting, all with no obvious physical cause. There appears to be uncanny similarities between the symptoms shown in the elderly cat and a human dementia patient.
Age-related illness
As discussed before, chronic illness is a factor in old age that can affect behaviour, for example kidney problems will make the cat drink more, deafness will make the cat unresponsive and more vocal. Thirty eight per cent of cats surveyed were suffering from chronic or terminal illness, the most common (according to the comments from the owners themselves rather than from a veterinary source) in descending order were:
Arthritis
Chronic renal failure
Deafness
Blindness
Hyperthyroidism
Bronchitis
Dental problems
Advice to owners
Given the results of this survey it is possible to offer general advice to the owners of elderly cats specifically geared to behavioural considerations, for example:-
• Provide a number of warm, soft and quiet resting places for the cat to spend a significant proportion of its time. If these places are high then care should be taken to offer a number of steps up to assist arthritic joints.
• Continue to stimulate the elderly cat's mental agility with gentle games.
• Groom the elderly cat regularly using soft brushes and combs, particularly around the base of the spine and other areas that are no longer accessible to the cat. Take care to avoid areas where the bones are prominent.
• Consider a new animal addition to the family carefully before going ahead. If an old cat appears distressed or lonely following the death of a companion allow a reasonable period to elapse before considering a replacement. This may be anxiety as a result of the change in routine rather than a genuine loneliness.
• Routine is extremely important particularly at times when family members are away from the home. Friends or professional house-sitters should be employed to care for the elderly cat in its own home to avoid the distress of a change in environment, unless the cat has always been used to frequent cattery visits.
• Consider the provision of indoor litter facilities if there is any suspicion that the elderly cat is being bullied outside or appears reluctant to go out in bad weather.
• For the very elderly, whose world appears to reduce in size the older they get, provide a bed, food, water and litter facilities in reasonable proximity to each other so that they are all easily accessible. (This is probably the only exception to the rule: keep toilet and eating arrangements apart).
• Seek veterinary advice for harsh night-time vocalisation.
There are obviously many other considerations which will depend on the individual cat. Advice of this kind can be given by veterinary practices, catteries, breeders, rescue centres and pet behaviour counsellors.
Question: Whats a good health profession and related science that I can go to college for? I want to work with that type of stuff like on Grey's Anatomy but i don't really want to do surgery's but i would like to help with them. Whats a good health profession I can do but still make good money?
Answer: I think this is an excellent question. There are many careers in the medical profession, and the future for these professionals is bright. There are nurses, medical secretaries, transcriptionists, medical records has assortment of positions, occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurse practitioners, midwives, x-ray technicians, ultrasonographers, phlebotomists, and of course, medical doctors.
I highly recommend you meet with a career counselor at the university of your choice. Their services are free to prospective and ongoing students, and they are very helpful. They have lots of resources to help you make the best decision for you.
Best wishes.
