Answer: my hair is super curly too. see? http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cf...
anything that says moisturizing is going to be your best friend. tresemme has great shampoo and conditioner sets that focus on moisture. herbal essences hello hydration is great. also you could try mane n' tail its absolutely amazing for our type of hair. garnier fructis has a good leave in conditioner and anti-frizz serum but really any will work just never use any alcohol based products on you hair its like the devil for out type of hair. and anything that say silicone is going to be great.
the key definately lies with your conditioning routine and how you handle your hair after you wash it.
-dont wash your hair too often, it dries it out, at the most only wash it every 3-5 days and do a hot oit treatment once a month at least!
-when you do wash your hair make sure you use a moisturizing conditioner and let it sit on your hair for at least five minutes! Rinse it out with cool water, and leave just a tad bit in there. (also a hot oil treatment/deep conditioning is mandatory at least once a month)
-gently squeeze as much water out of your hair as you can. dont towel dry! thats where alot of frizzies come from.
-as far a products use any leave in conditioner or frizz serum, but make sure its not too heavy and dont use too much or it will weigh down your curls.
-when applying use a wide tooth comb or just finger comb your hair to distribute the product, NEVER BRUSH WET HAIR!
-if you blow dry your hair, get a DIFFUSER its an attachment for your blow dryer thats doesnt stress the hair so much as regualar blow drying and doesnt agitate your curls. for volume in your curls, tilt your head upside down and bring the diffuser to you scalp catching your hair in the cup (you'll see when you get it) and just hold it in place for a few minutes then move to another spot until your whole head is dry. this will give you a nice natural curl with bouce!
the point is to agitate your curls as little as possible, and moisturize like crazy, this keeps them from getting overly bushy of frizzy and helps keep definition and healthy!!!.

Answer: hair drying makes your hair look frizzy, dry and bad...
Well that's what happened if I do it to my hair.
Try using Herbal Essence's Dangerously Straight, my friend sed she used it and there's a change in her hair.
Hope I helped you with something, coz i also live outside US.

Answer: Cornrow front and tease the back of it, put it in two strand twists, after washing hair start braiding hair then unbraid in the morning and get wet and wavy style, or get it microbraided.
Question: What are your top moisturizing hair products? Shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, hair mask etc. All the stuff you use, that keeps your hair healthy and shiny. I'm in dire need of new hair care, because my hair is beginning to die. Share your secrets please!
Answer: i love the pantene moisture renewal line. i use the shampoo and conditioner. leave the conditioner on for about 3 minutes and then rinse thouroughly. once a week i subsitute the conditioner for the pantene time renewal mask. l also use the pantene moisture renewal intensive restoriation treatment about twice a week. you can get all these at a local drugstore. it leaves my hair sooo shiny and moisturized, which is why i have no split ends!
p.s. another reason my hair is so shiny is because i used clairol natural instincts shiny happy. it's like a gloss i use once a month to add extra shine, but sometimes i noticed that without the gloss, my hair still has extreme shine and mositure :]]
Question: Has anyone tried Victoria's Secret Hair Care? Have any of you or someone you know tried Victoria's Secret So Sexy hair care line? If so what did or didn't you like about it and what product did you use? (Conditioner, shampoo, shine serum) Would you recommend it? Why or why not?
Answer: I've tried & LOVED their shampoo/conditioner, the one that's for dry hair. The smell is unbelievable & the conditioner is thick enough to do a good job. The only thing I don't like is the price. When it goes on sale (when they have the 3 for $21 sale) is usually the only time I get it.
The shine serum, though, I really wanted to like (because of the smell), but, it really didn't do much for my dry/frizzy/thick hair. I put it on & withing an hour, the frizzies came back. :( The smell was great, but faded with-in a few hours. If your hair isn't as dry/frizzy as mine, then, maybe it'll work better on yours.
Question: what is your hair care routine? Basically, just curious...
what is your daily hair care regime? what products do you apply when you wash it?
How often do you wash it?
And what are your special little secrets, tips and techniques?
:)
xx
Answer: Well first off... I am mixed, Spanish and Black. My hair texture is curly/soft/kinky/frizzy... But not coarse...
I usually have my hair natural. I when its natural (as in not straightened), I was my hair once or twice a day. I use mainly Shine products. Shampoo I use is either Mane and Tail or Suave (orange bottle), mainly because it leaves that squeaky feeling on it. Conditioner I use Shine deep conditioner, (60 second repair), no matter how tangled your hair is, which mine can get tangled if you look at it too hard...Lol It will detangle and leave it silky soft, as if you just had a relaxer. Its AMAZING!
I dry my hair by squeezing the excess water, not by rubbing the towel all over my head (causes more frizz). Moisturizer, I honestly use olive oil. Yes the oil you cook w/. My hair is VERY healthy. I go to the salon twice a year. Every time, the stylist is always surprised by how healthy and few dead ends I have for my trim.
When its straightened (which it takes me 45 minutes to do). I use bio silk so its light and not weighed down. Wrap my hair w/ a silk scarf at night. Usually keep it straight and unwashed for 4-5 days max. I grease my scalp w/ pure coconut oil (yes same oil you would cook w/).
Over all I am pretty natural... Straightening takes too long, and too much maintenance. I like wet to dry look that my natural hair gives me!
Question: Fragrance/perfume like So Sexy hair care line? Does Victoria's Secret sell a perfume/fragrance that has the same scent as their So Sexy hair care line (shampoo/conditioner/hair products)? I love the smell of it and it doesn't bother my allergies like most scents do. I would go in the store & start testing their perfumes to see, but, 99.9% of perfumes bother my allergies, so, I really can't just try & was wondering of any of you gals happen to know.
Wow. That was rude & they do (or at least did) sell both shampoo/conditioner in the same scents as their Garden Collection perfume/body line, so, it's not like I was asking about something that was not possible.
Answer: I would try asking the sales associate at Victoria's secret. but explain your allergies so that they don't have you smelling all their perfumes. If they do have it, it'll probably come under the same name, like their garden collection did.
Question: How do I care for the hair of a two year old african american little girl? Her hair is very thick and course. Any tips will be very appreciated. Hairstylists please share your secrets. I am willing to buy your products if they are for sale.
Answer: Okay... let me start with this...It's not a hard task...First buy products that's designed for african american hair...if you want to straighten her hair then you can use a hair relaxer on her hair..though you would have to make sure that it's not too strong because it will damage her hair severely..Use a relaxer that is for kids and has no lye in it.... if you want to just maintain it from day to day I would suggest you do not use alot of petroleum based products... Constantly condition her hair... and if you perfer you can use hair gels which doesnt contain alcohol..I left a link for you to view.....I hope I helped you...kisses hugs and shrugs...xoxo

Answer: I love got 2 b crazy sleek. It protects my hair from frizz, humidity and heat.
I hated Tresemme heat protectant! Takes too long for it to dry!
Question: Damaged hair issues? Hi everyone Im sry to say I suffer from FREAKINGLY DAMAGED HAIR....well its not horrible but I want to prevent it from getting any further. I heard about CIBU international hair care products a lot has anybody tried them or do you know of anything that will work!! I tried Bed Head, CHI, Pantene, Suave, Finess, John Frieda, oh and what about Victorias Secret is it good??
Answer: Im not sure about VS, but try Dove's intensive damage therapy in the dark blue bottle. It works for me.
Question: What are your favorite beauty and hygiene products/ manufactures? Also what are your favorite beauty secrets? Some of my favorites are Pantene Pro V shampoo + conditioner for washing hair and Pantene conditioner after. I like silk infusions it is for after washing your hair you rub it in and it is liquid silk and makes your hair very silky, shiney and soft. I like Breath RX oral care products, and I also like Act mouth rinse with floride and Sensodine pronamel tooth paste with flouride, or other floride toothpastes. I cant remember what my favorite body wash is called but its in a pink bottle with lighter pink swirls and it leaves my skin so soft and nurished.
My beauty secret is taking a hot bath with a quart of milk added, it exfoliates the skin and leaves it soft and silky. I also like to put Pantene all over my skin when I take a shower, it works good.
So what do you like the best, and what are your favorite beauty secrets? Are you male or female?
Best wishes to you all and God bless you.
Ok so my favorite body wash is Dove Supreme Cream Oil body wash in ultra rich velvet- it leaves my skin velvetey smooth. I love Victorias Secrets body sprays, perfumes, lotions, and their Shimmer body powder that comes in different scents in a big powder brush so you can just brush it all over.
My favorite way to wash my face is with just plain warm- hot water and wash it good with my hands then turn the water cold and close up the pores, if I have a blemish I use Retin A, even if I dont I put the retin a all over my face about once a week, because it helps with pimples and wrinkles.
I love Estee Lauder make-up boxes, my mom always gets me one for Christmas.
I am female.
I like crest white strips aswell, but my favorite way to whiten is to go to the dentist and get a 1 hour whitening procedure that lightens very well its called Zoom whitening, its only takes one trip to the dentist to see max results!
Also Cottonelle moist flushable wipes.
Answer: biolage {sp?} hair conditioner at salon + vitamin E and facial saunas at home for glowing skin/good circulation, Estee' lauder double wear foundation [a shade or 2 lighter than my complexion], walking 3 miles a day, Buddhism for my spirit, and not sleeping on my face; sleep on my back instead. I also love Crest White Strips~VERY effective!! And NO SMOKING! When I quit 4 years ago, just 3 months later the collagen increased in my face and looked "plumper" [not to mention overall good health again!]
Also Tom's natural mouthwash for cavity prevention [well along w/toothpaste/brushing/flossing of course]
P.S. When I went to Macy's today was surprised to find this serum made by "Origins" skin care. {forgot the name already but it was $50.} Anyway, LOVED the way it looked when I tested it on my hand! So will search/come across it on Ebay & will hopefully find it for much cheaper. Will recognize the bottle, am sure.
Question: Which one has the cheaper hair products....Chi or Paul Mitchell? My stylist uses both of them but I'm sort of on a budget and since my stylist used them on my hair I see that its a really good product. I dont' care which one works better....just which on is cheaper.
Which store has it for cheapest?
Does Walgreens have it? Trade Secret? I haven't seen it at Target. I know salons have it.
Do you know the general cost of a straightening product from both brands?
Answer: Paul Mitchell is cheaper, CHI is patented and more expensive. Beauty Brands carries the whole line. If Walgreens or those other stores carry it, the product is not gauranteed unless you buy it from a store like Beauty Brands or a salon.
