Headaches
Question: headaches.........????????? i constantly get headaches.....does anyone know any remedies, besides medicines, to help it stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Answer: Take a hot bath and rest. When you're resting, make sure to wear an eye mask and that no noise will disturb you. If you want, you could listen to ambient music while relaxing and if there's a smell you like(like lavender) have something around with that smell.
Question: HeAdAcHes? I am 17 years old and for the past few months I have been getting headaches almost constantly. I take ibuprofen or tylenol and it will go away for about 30 minutes and then it comes back. It isn't just a normal headache either. Its like a really bad pressure, like a pulsing pain. I don't know whats going on? What could it be!?
Answer: Tension headache, you should have your neck checked out by a massage therpist or a chiropractor whichever you prefer(I prefer the massage) Sometimes you can get rebound heaaachesfrom overuse of ibuprofen and yo need to watch the amount of tylenol you take 4000grams is the limit in 24hrs after that you can be causing liver damage
Question: hEADACHES? One Sided Headaches???
I have always suffered from one-sided headaches on the right side...the pain runs from my temple all the way down the right side of the back of my neck......
Is this common?
Does anyone else do this?
i also get nausious and dizzy at times
Answer: Headaches can be caused by so many things including stress, food, weather.............however, if your headaches are accompanied by nausea or dizziness you need to see a doctor. Headaches are common, but when you combine a headache with the other problems it may mean something else is wrong. Even if it isn't serious the doctor will prescribe treatment so you won't have to keep suffering with this.

Answer: Extreme dehydration will cause those symptoms; Headaches; backaches; constipation.....
Are you lips dry/cracked? and have you been under allot of stress lately; more than usual anyway. Because when I get to feeling like this, its due to high amounts of stress or I'm not taking care of myself the way I should. Here's some suggestions to relieve it, try them for one day and feel for the difference.
Feel the spine at the bottom of your skull, does it feel like a knot on the side of your spine (your vertabrae could be twisted as well) mine does that every now and then when I'm under stress....it cause me headaches until my neck pops. I do stretching exercise, as follows:
1. Take your chin put it down to your chest, put your hands on the back of your head and gently pull it more toward your chest (if you feel pain, like a burning) then your neck probably needs adjustment. Keep doing the exercise.
2. Rotate your neck in wide circles both directions, big big circles; lay your head down on your shoulder and roll it all the way around. At least 8 times both directions
3. Turn your head to look back over each shoulder at least 8 times each way.
4. Tilt your head down to your chest then back to your back; do this at least 8 times.
5. Drink a 1/2 gallon of water, at least, within the next couple of hours. Keep this up everyday.....to avoid it.
6. Take a multi-vitamin/mineral along with a multi- B vitamin & extra potassium (to relieve muscles, if your low on any vitamins especially B's & potassium this can cause muscles cramps anywhere in your body) also if your dehydrated you low on vitamins
7. Take Dulcolax to soften your stool, until your bowels move. Then just keep drinking the water and that will help to avoid constipation.
8....also another very good stretch for your back to relieve muscles in your lower back. Sit with the bottom of your feet together on the floor....butterfly position. Hold on to your feet with both hands, push your knees toward the floor, and pull your nose towards your toes.....arch your back for a minute then straighten for a min.....repeat pull down toward your toes, hold for awhile to get the muscles good and stretched and relieve tension. Do this for about 10 minutes.....This is a miracle stretch for me. When my neck/head/back start hurting, it relieves a whole lot of tension.
Hope this helps....

Question: HEADACHES???????????????????????? (Sorry for the too many question marks...I needed 20 characters)
My friend has recently started having headaches almost everyday, and sometimes it's just a 'heavy head' feeling, but the other times it's a proper headache. She was quite fine till about a month ago. This just started all of a sudden. She is underweight, but overall healthy.
Tests revealed nothing was wrong.
I'm really worried about her. They are not migraines. There are no other symptoms, like nausea or sensitivity to light or noise.
They fade off after a few hours, generally. They start mostly in the evening. She got her eyesight checked and it was normal.
She has gone to many doctors, but nothing has been found out.
Is there any way to reduce the pain (without medicines...she's already taking those) or to prevent headaches, maybe something that works for you, or someone you know??
Help will be appreciated.
Thanks.
Answer: theres this 4 head its good works for me

Question: HEadaches??? i am well fed and hydrated by i always wake up with a headache and goes on through out the day does not happen usual and i am onl 14 and what is rong w/ me it has been like this 4 the past 5 months????
Answer: Kallie pl see what suits you.
If you are in cold country use all warm things.
Massage and exercise in front of morning sun will help.
Hot water bath will help if cough is there.
Pl try simple acupressure given below for immediate relief.
If it fails you will have to go for Acupuncture.
There is hardly any medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA, Back ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.)
Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.
Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, tension, spicy foods, sour fruits(if acidity rejects), stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER, sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.
For forehead/eye pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.
It may disappear naturally too.

NOW IT IS MORE BURNING OR PRESSURE OR TIGHT PAIN IN TOP OF HEAD AND AROUND NOSE OR FOREHEAD MAYBE BLURRED VISION UNLESS I WIPE MY EYES AND NUMB FINGERS.
also pain in my temple
do you think it could be anxiety
http://www.anxietycentre.com/anxiety_symptoms.shtml
i also have a facial rash
Answer: You need to get yourself either to an ER or to a doctor and quick.
The drainage from the ears is what has me concerned. Of course so do the other symptoms.
You need to be on an antibiotic and you will only get that from the doc.
It may be something really serious like a staph infection, or it may lead to that. Believe me, you don't want that.
It may be an infection in you spinal cord like or similar to meningitis. So please, get to the doctor.
Question: HEADAcHES!!!!!!? constant headcahes....i get them above my eyes and back of my head? im 20 years please any advice i take a tyneol every nite.. ive been taking one since friday! any ideas
Answer: Ugh!! I suffer from BAD headaches too. Here is the deal (at least how I think) If you keep using the same exact kind of headache pill exa..Tylenol then your body gets used to that and it isn't very effective. I switch my headache meds all the time. What I have found to be the best are Excedrin Migraine, and Advil migraine Liquid gel. As soon as you feel a headache come on immediately take some sort of pain med. Also if the headache is just BAD a cool wet wash cloth on your head helps some..and if you have somebody to rub your forehead and back of your head then that is great. Also if you (better if someone else does this) Squeeze the skin between your Thumb and Your pointer finger on your palms facing up it is supposed to be a pressure point to help with headaches. It's hard to do it yourself because you really have to squeeze that area. Whoever is doing the squeezing tell them to really apply the pressure and to hold it for a few minutes..Repeat as often as you can. Hope this helped
Question: Why do I keep getting headaches after doing intense exercise under the sun? I've been getting headaches after intense exercises under the sun especially after playing football(soccer).Usually the headaches come about half an hour after I stop playing. It takes about 30 minutes of play for me to get headaches. However,I can play at a high level of intensity indoors for about 2 hours with a short break and not experience anything after that.Usually the aches are in the back of the head and around the temples. The headaches last for a day and they severely restrict my ability to concentrate on work.My doctor told me that it is due to dehydration but I drink lots of water before, during and after play and don't experience any symptoms of dehydration such as dizziness or nausea. What could be causing these headaches and how can I prevent them?Recently,I have also experienced minor and short headaches during school time.Usually at the end of a long day.
Answer: I agree withyour doctor that it might be dehydration. it takes 72 hours to properly hydrate. When exercising that intensely you might consider drinking something like Gatorade or any of the Electrolyte replacement drinks out there. When you sweat that much you are losing more than just water you need to replace the salts and minerals too. The heat acts to make your body work that much harder to cool you offf. the body cools you off by dilating the veins. This allows more blood flow and lets more of the heat escape.
The description of the headache makes me wonder if you are prone to migraines. Do you drink much caffeine? If so you might want to cut back which if you have been drinking it for a while...will give you a headache as you go through withdrawls....about 10 days
Question: What are differences between all the different headaches and migraines? I get all kinds of headaches ALL THE TIME. Several times a week. I get so confused about the different kinds of headaches. I know I get migraines every 2 months or so, I get tension headaches, sinus headaches, and caffeine headaches. Can someone sum the symptoms up for me so I can clearly tell what kind of headache I have and maybe some tips on how to get rid of them?
Answer: join the club- i have a migraine every other day, and then other sorts of headache everyday- the only thing that realy helps for me is to massage my neck at the back- and then take a Migril and go to sleep- then you also get this pounding on your temporal lopes (the veins) -bad ! very painfull- the only way to release pain is to put pressure (with massage on it)
the next day you will feel like you been in a train crash, but that is better than this headaches ! God bless
Question: What kind of headaches comes from performing a physical pressure and then a nerve near my right ear twitches? These headaches first started one day after laughing a lot, the headache just started after laughing hard. Then after that these headaches came on and off. Sometimes when I bend over to get something from the floor or when i make an effort to pick something up I feel the pain in my right side of my head and then the nerve twitch near my right ear that comes and goes.
Answer: This is not my area of expertise, but you should go check it out now! it could be nothing major, like high pressure, or you could have a burst capillary (small blood vessel) in the brain which is very dangerous!
Question: How can i get rid of headaches that i have everyday thats not over the counter drugs? right now i believe im having problems with allergies but whats bothering me the most is headaches everyday. I dont know if its a sinus headache interfearing with my allergies or is it more serious than i think. When im not sick i have a least one headache a day. What should i do about it?
Answer: I had headaches everyday too and remember how incredibly horrible it was. For me, they were chronic daily migraines, with no other underlying problems. Unfortunate for some of us, there's no good reason for having headaches. My neurologist told me to not even bother keeping a journal because there was likely no trigger. You're right that otc drugs are bad to take. They can really hurt your body if you take then long-term. I use anti-convulsants (that have to be prescribed) to prevent them. The other two classes of medications used to prevent headaches are anti-depressants and blood-pressure medications. In addition to these, I use ice on my neck/nape of my skull, I drink hot tea, I get at least 8-9 hours of sleep a night, do yoga, and take prescribed pain killers when things get really bad. I would really advise going to a neurologist. They'll be able to make an informed decision about whether they should do an MRI, PET, or CT or whether you're probably just having migraines. If you think its just allergies causing your headaches, I would see an allergist. Some common, weird things about migraines that might scare people into thinking there's something else wrong: the pain often spontaneously switches from one part of the head to another, pain behind the eyes, visual disturbances, and intense nausea.
Question: What causes frequent headaches and sudden mood swings? I am a little worried about my boyfriend. He has been having painful headaches and they cause him to cry. The headaches are sudden after being angry or having sex. Anybody have any ideas?
Answer: Hm it sounds to me like he is maybe having some postpartum depression or maybe stages of it did he ever suffer any sort of trauma in his life recently or throughout his life? & also the headaches may be migraines not headaches themselves I unfortunately have the pleasure (sarcasm Haha) of having migraines & suffer from them it's really horrible pain & I often cry about it because no pain pill works I have taken some extremes when it comes to my migraines, from normal ibuprofen to Excedrin to Tylenol 3 nothing works. My suggestion is maybe having him see a doctor to tell him what is causing his pain & see if the mood swings are something worse.
I wish you luck.
Question: What painkiller should I take for headaches? I get a fairly bad headache at least once a day and Tylenol and Advil are just not helping anymore. I also get migraines and headaches that make me feel dizzy and nauseated. I have been living on Advil and Tylenol for quite a while now and both of those are starting to lose affect. Is there a really great headache medicine out there that I haven’t discovered yet? Or am I just going to have to live with these?
Answer: My best friend has severe headaches all the time and she doesn't go anywhere without her Excedrin. I can't speak from experience because I have never used it but she lives by it. There are alot of new prescription meds out there that you can take at the onset of a migraine that work well and do not have that adverse effect that narcotics have. If you are having this many headaches then I would see my family physician. It could be something serious. Good Luck.
