Joint Pain
Question: Joint pain? I have mild joint pain in 2 of my fingers and my knees? I am 43 years old. Do you think it could be the beginnings of something serious? I have had this pain for a few months now
Answer: Walking will help your knees and knitting will help your fingers. The trick is to keep the joints warm and with blood flowing through them--regardless of the reason for the joint pain.
You should see your doctor to get a diagnosis. Try to avoid the pill regimens, because you start on ibuprophen and then that doesn't work anymore and you have to go to naproxen, then when that loses effectiveness they want to put you on Celebrex, etc. etc.
I've taken aspirin on occasion if the pain returns for whatever reason, but managing it with exercise and wam moist heat seems to work better than painkillers.
Question: Joint Pain? I'm about 14 years old, and I sometimes have joint pain. What can I do to cure it so it won't hurt so badly?
Thanks!
Answer: I had arthritis at your age, I am sure it is excepted these days in children. Go get the blood test done to see if it shows up.
Do you have relatives with arthritis? Like in my family it skipped a generation.
Go to the doctor, first see the nurse at school. Hopefully you just pulled something (better then arthritis, so many variations of it).
You are not one of those kids who cracks your knuckles and other parts of your body because you think it is cool? Good don't!
Good luck and if today is better then when I was a kid you wont have to jump up and down for someone to listen to you!
Be careful of some of these drugs, very addictive!
Remember this name, Ibuprofen (inflammatory) it just might be your new best friends....
Question: Joint PAIN???!!!? Ok, this is actually about my mom.
She has been experiencing joint pain in her lower arms, and hands for a couple of month. Starting with muscle pain in the area, and now in her feet and toes, arms and hands with severe pain and some swelling.
She went to the ER couple days ago, she was diagnosed with Arthralgia and referred to a Rheumatologist. Her appointment it's in 2 weeks, but the pain gets worst sometimes. She says on a scale 1 to 10 its like an 8.
She read somewhere that some medications that she takes may be related to the pains, Lipitor and Premarim. So I will like to know if anybody knows anything about that.
Im just really worried and concerned about what it could be.
So any information will be appreciated.
THANK YOU!!!!..=)
Answer: My doc just put me on Lipitor, and he said to watch out for body aches & pains.
BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT THAT IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR MOM!!!
Keep the appointmen, please, a rhuematologist is a very good doc for her to see to figure this out.
Question: How do you handle joint pain from lyme disease? I've recently been diagnosed with lyme disease, and it's been pretty brutal. I've been given antibiotics to handle the infection itself, but my insurance won't cover medication to deal with the arthritis that's developed as a symptom. It hurts too much to walk, sit up straight, move my left arm or even turn my neck. Does anyone here have suggestions for dealing with nasty joint pain like this? I'm only 18 and start school soon.

pain relief = Daily Stretching = increased oxygenated nourishing blood flow to the extremities
visit below for FREE stretching /healing / recovery exercise chart

The key is to increase blood flow to the problem area; fresh nourished blood has vital oxygen
and energy that aides to eliminate the pain and heal the body
The only way to get reinforcements inside our highly complex human body is through the
Circulatory systems that provide vital source needed for all life -- which is oxygen and the
carrier being blood.
Unfortunately the blood through your arteries is not like free flowing water through a plumbing
System -- the blood needs to be pushed into the remote areas. The impure blood needs to be
Pumped back against gravity into the heart for oxygenation.
Due to lack of activity or stress or sedentary / busy life style
Stretching is not occurring and there is a blood traffic jam in the pipes (thereby increasing free radicals in the impure blood #1 aging accelerator ) and blood circulation weakens which causes several chronic ailments like
Leg callves pain , Back pain , stress, fatigue , depression , lethargy , aging , early wrinkles , low immunity etc…
The only way to fix this is by stretching and widening the circulatory pipes and
for long term and pain free and a healthy circulatory system invest in the new smart and highly effective solution which is a
stretching tool that is so simple to use and carry.

Question: How to tell the difference between joint pain in knees and muscle pain? I do heavy squats about 3 days a week and sometimes I can't tell if the joint is in pain or the muscles surrounding them are. Does anyone know anything I can do to help me figure it out?
Answer: muscle pain from squats is usually in the thighs and butt
there arent really knee muscles, sounds like ur joints
Question: How can you tell the difference between joint pain and muscle pain? Is it joint pain or muscle pain that stops almost immediately when you quit moving or change positions to rest or get relief for the suddenly very sore area?
Answer: Very seldom, if ever, are you going to feel joint pain. There are no pain receptors in the joints or ways of sending messages. You are really feeling the pain in the muscles around that joint, ones that have become inflamed or are having pressure put on them. So the real answer is it's all muscle pain.
Question: What is the best way to relieve my joint pain naturally? My hip, thumb and finger joints are starting to hurt as I get older. I don't want to take pain drugs. What is the best way to relieve my joint pain?
Answer: You need to eat an anti-inflammatory diet. This means lots of garlic, onions, turmeric, ginger, green tea, citrus and berries. It also means no white sugar, no white flour and no white rice.
Good luck.
Question: How long should it take for joint pain to subside following an attack by yellow jackets? I was stung several times about 2 months ago, and developed minor joint pain about 2 weeks later. The pain has intensified over time, and has become more constant.
I would estimate that I was stung between 20 and 30 times. Most were in my calves and ancles.
Although several sources claim that yellow jackets do not leave a stinger, I know for a fact that these were yellow jackets, and I had six stingers left inside. Two in my right leg, and one each in my left leg, each arm, and left side.
The joint pain was in my knees, hips, shoulders, and elbows. My knees and hips are ok now, but my shoulders and especially my elbows have continued to worsen.
Any suggestions?
Answer: If there was a stinger in your leg it wasn't left by a yellow jacket....their stingers are smooth like a hypodermic needle, so you were likely stung by more than just yellow jackets.
You are haveing a reaction to a protein in the venom you were injected with. You will need a shot of cortisone, and some anti-inflamatory drugs to stop the immediate pain and arthritis.....you must see a doctor an internist will do or an allergist would be better.
Since you have waited so long you may have started to develop arthritis.....so be prepared to find a rheumatologist or a damn good internal medicine doctor.
Good Luck !
Question: What can I do about joint pain while working out? I've been using the bench press for about a month now, and I've had great results. The problem is, about three days ago I developed joint pain in and around my shoulders. I don't want to stop using the bench press because it's the best piece of workout equipment I have and I've gotten fantastic results. Is there something I can do to stop this pain?
Answer: Just use lighter weights. And don't excercise every day- do something like every 3 days you take a break, or at least use light weights. I'd also try using OTHER excersise equipment as well.
Oh, and heating pads work wonders. :)
Question: What can help relieve Sacroiliac Joint pain? I don't see my Ob/Gyn until the third of July. If the pain continues or gets worse I will call and speak with their nursing staff. I am wondering what I can do in the meantime to help. It is to the point that I get sharp pain everytime I walk. Are there home remedies or exercises for S.I. Joint pain?
I am 11 weeks pregnant, so no anti-inflammatories can be used.
Thank you!
Answer: If you're only 11 weeks pregnant, then the sacroiliac pain will become worse over time if not immediately taken care of. The only way to really correct the problem is to see a chiropractor who specializes in prenatal care. You can find one near you on this website: http://www.americanpregnancy.org/members/chiropractors
Question: What is a good suppliment for joint pain ? I have "SPONDILITUS" and a mild form of rhuematoid authritis. What can I get to help with joint pain that is an herbal suppliment or vitamin ?
Answer: try taking glucosamine to rebuild and repair joint tissue and cartilege--this can help with the pain over time
Question: What does it mean when you have swollen armpits and joint pain? I have swollen lymph nodes and joint pain. My throat hurts and I have a headach. I went to the pediatricians a couple of days ago and he prescirbed me an antibiotic. It's not working. I've stayed home from school for the last couple of days. What do I have and what can I do to treat it?
Answer: Return to the doctor. If the antibiotic is not helping, you need further workup. It could be extremely serious.
Question: Can the herxheimer reaction cause bad joint pain? I took somewhat high doses of colloidal silver (a few tablespoons) for several days. I had some weird reactions (too gross to say) and I got bad joint pain in my legs/feet and arms/hands. The joint pain sort of moves around from day to day and has been there for 4 days. I also have IBD. Could the joint pain be the herxheimer reaction? I have only had it one other time and that's also when I took colloidal silver for several days.
Answer: it could be this healing crisis but hard to say for sure..I do know joint and muscle pain is a common herxheimer reaction.
I know because I recently made a big diet change going form a whole food animal and plant based diet to becoming a vegan pretty much overnight due to trying to reverse diabetes and going 50-85% raw food and I broke out in intensely itchy hives which I never had before.
It lasted 3 days then wait away a few days and then returned for another day, so far gone for 3 days. My research showed this was a healing crisis reaction others got and I saw one women who went 100% raw say she had the itchy hives for 6 months.
In the course of that research I saw the aching joints was common. I also broke out in got around the same time and had not had an attack for 8 months but I did find a can of sardines at the back of my cupboard I missed and ate it and I think some canned fish can cause gout.
I suggest taking hot and cold showers for the pain and using tigar balm, as#kiss creme or a capsicum cream and taking a wait and see stance.
How to do the hot and cold I just posted here

Healing crisises are agonizing sometimes but followed by better health.
I took dose like that before and don't recall any reaction

Question: Side effect taking joint pain pills with other medication? Hi all, I need some advice...
My mum is 60 and had undergone a heart bypass surgery few years back and still taking medication for that. But now she had a serious knee joint pain. I’m planning to buy her some pills from local pharmacy.
Any advice what to take @ to avoid?
Will there be any side effects combining joint pain pills with other medication?
Answer: I don't know what otc types of pills you are planning on buying but any that are otc are not going to have much of an impact to them if any. If your mom is having knee problems, they more often than not come from the tendon of the kneecap having shortened up. It pulls the kneecap up on and into the knee which then binds up and the pain is the next thing she feels. Her kneecap is no longer gliding over the knee with it being bound up like that. Here is how you can help her try to release that tendon in her knee so she can get rid of the pain:
Kneecaps:
Do while sitting on a chair with no front cross braces.
While sitting have your leg resting in a stretched mode. Place both your thumbs, side by side, about 2 inches behind the kneecap and press down into your leg and then redirect the pressure a little towards the kneecap. After 30 seconds, slowly slide your foot back and under your chair as far as it will go, release the pressure but hold your foot there for another 30 seconds.
