Question: Best way to remove both the label and the glue from wine bottles? What's the best way to remove both the label and the sticky glue from wine bottles? I'm reusing wine bottles for a craft project, and have been boiling and soaking the wine bottles to remove the labels. The labels are coming off, but I'm still stuck with the sticky glue from the labels- not pretty at all. Anyone have a good suggestion?

Answer: First soak to remove most of the label. Then use GooGone to remove any glue that is left. ✩

Question: Why do people label you a racist for disagreeing with interracial relationships? They are allowed boast how amazing it is and i do not label them race traitors, yet they feel the need to label me a racist even though i actually like our differences, i just think we should keep to our own and should preserve the races, i simply disagree and the insults start flying, why?

Answer: If your only criteria for disagreeing with a relationship has to do with racial characteristics then your rejection of it is racist. To call your behaviour racist in that scenario is to state a fact not an opinion. So there is no insult. If the shoe fits wear it. That you 'like' differences in other aspects does not alter the definition. You would do well to have your genetic history mapped out. There you wil find that ragardless of colour so long as your partner is human you will indeed be keeping to your own. It all depnds where you want to draw the line. However, that line is arbitrary and racism is for those who see a line that should not exist. If you don't like them don't get into one. Otherwise why not mind your own business?

Answer: I have been saving wine labels for a while, and I have not yet found a foolproof method. These have worked in the past: 1. Hairdryer, melts some glues and does not damage the label. 2. Steam, works a little better than hairdryer, but can make some labels soggy and fall apart. 3. Hot water, first try filling the bottle, but if that does not work, submerge the bottle - downside= see #2. 4. Razor blade and a lot of patience. Get the kind you use to scrape paint off of windows, start at an edge and carefully peel back the label, working the razor underneath to separate the glue from the bottle. This works very well with some, and very badly with others. If it does work, you get the added advantage of still having glue on the back of the label, so it goes nicely into a scrapbook. 5. There are commercial wine label removers that you can find through Skymall. I have heard they work, but I have never tried them. They go on over the label and when you peel them off, the label comes with. Good luck.

Answer: Although, I was born and brought up in Britain, I feel, increasingly, that I am living amongst people who's attitudes and views I simply cannot share. You refer to people, who, all too easily throw the word RACIST about. This childish name calling, of course, is designed to silence those who hold a differing view. It implies, that if you don't conform to the "right on " political agenda, your opinions are simply beneath contempt. Many people who behave like that simply do not understand that creating a climate of fear, in which people are afraid to discuss perfectly reasonable areas of concern or perhaps express an opinion, leads us toward totalitarianism. Of course, most people who behave like this are pursuing an ideological agenda, generally associated with left wing or liberal politics. Others, particularly younger people, may feel that it is chic to espouse what seems to be the fashionable view. It's safer that way, your less likely to look stupid and you don't have to think. I know that your primary concern is - why do people behave like this? If you consider the influences that are operating over people today, particularly younger people, you will be less surprised. eg. We have a government that is radical, if not revolutionary, pursuing a feminist agenda. We have a media which is also doing its level best to indoctrinate its viewers into left wing and feminist politics. The educational system is doing an even better job, and has done so for many years, of indoctrinating students with its feminist and left of centre politics. I could go on and include, The legislature, The public sector, etc. I suspect that you are concerned about immigration. That subject, above all, invokes the word "Racist" It's that kind of response that makes me believe that I am not living amongst realists. Do you ever remember being asked by any political party - what your views on immigration are? Have you ever seen the subject included in any of their manifestos. No! you have simply been presented with a Fait Accompli. What many people don't seem to understand, is, that the issue is not a personal one, I am sure, like you, that I would get on perfectly well with most immigrants. But that is not the point. Managing a country is not personal: It has to be managed at the macro level in the long term interest of the country as a whole. Answer: In my opinion, it's because people choose to have something to fall back on when anything unpleasant happens. So that they can have diminished responsibilities and attribute all these happenings to their "mental illness".

You should also try to put a cell phone or parent work phone as a contact number, because someone can get your home address if you list a home phone. It's sad that you even have to consider this, but it's a reality. If you have a fabric backpack, an iron-on label is a good idea; if not, use a permanent marker like a Sharpie. Another idea is to sew on a patch or get a colorful zipper pull that the child can easily identify their backpack in the event more than one child has the same pack. Answer: You need to label each country with its name and then locate and label the capital for each country too. Use the list from the link below and an atlas (or google maps) to find the countries and their capitals. It might take time to label them all, but you certainly wont have to do much research. Note: places in italics listed on the wikipedia list are not countries (they are territories), you won't have to label those.
