Question: How many calories in the following? Low calorie food and hot chocolate knowdellge needed? 1.Small crusty white dinner roll. Aprox 7cm long 4 cm wide.

Anyone know any really low caloire foods? I live on baked beans (103kl for a small pot) and jelly (7kl per pot). I need some more.

The lowest hot chocolate is packets(just add hot water)and its low fat and it's only 25 calories per packet. Regular is over 100.

Answer: Yogurt! and don't get the real sugary kind either. the kind with the fruit is the best.
Also pickles if you like them, they usually make you less hungry and they have no calories at all.
and when your watching TV and get hungry, stand up and do 15 jumping jacks. or lay down and down and do 15 crunches.

Answer: Keep counting calories. Fats are generally high in calories, so lower fat foods will have fewer calories. Remember that calorie is not an actual physical thing. It's a measurement of the amount of energy you gain from eating a serving of a particular food. 100 calories of chocolate is the same on your diet as 100 calories of carrots. But keep in mind that 100 calories of carrots is an entire bag of baby carrots and 100 calories of chocolate is like 2 bites. In order to make your diet work, you need to make sure you're counting the calories you consume and measuring your portions carefully. Some food advertised to be reduced-calorie are actually normal foods with ridiculously small portions quoted on the nutrition information.
Healthier foods have fewer calories per serving, which allows you to eat a realistic amount of food and still keep your calorie intake in check.

Answer: celery is always a no-fail snack like you're describing haha. grapes are good too, you shouldn't give up on them. any fruits or vegetables, except bananas, they're high in fat. if you're looking for something that feels like actual SNACK food, then try 100 calorie packs of different things.

Answer: .You don't need any shakes or bars...simply eat plenty of lean protein, fruits and veggies...keep carbs and fats lower, but still consume them. Fruits and veggies have a lot of water in them, so are low in calorie for the volume that you get (some more than others). Lots of them in your daily diet will help keep your calorie count down, then add fish, white chicken, or other protein sources of choice to meet that requirement. I eat so much chicken, I should cluck and lay eggs. LOL!
Protein shakes/bars might be useful if you are working out hard and need extra protein for muscle building...otherwise, what your body doesn't need it will eliminate.

Answer: Tons of food…like a huge plate of steamed broccoli would be very fulfilling and low calorie.
But losing 5lbs (I’m assuming you’re talking about fat reserves?) is 3,500 calories of exercising multiplied by 5lbs = 17.500 calories of exercising, like two months with a daily one hour of exercising (300).
Please, don’t be like all those people who think that just eating less will make them lose weight. Their bodies just adapt to lower caloric requirements and the less they eat, the less they have to eat.

Answer: I make my own with coffee, cocoa, and you can add skim milk and artificial sweetener to it. I use sugar in mine, but wait until it cools off to add the artificial sweetener. None in the store is as good as homemade. You can also put some vanilla flavoring in it if you like, and a pinch of salt.

As far as the healthiest, low fat and sugar content, I like Detour. They have a peanut butter one I really like. It's no Snickers, but you'll feel much better after eating it than you would've a Snickers.
Question: I'm trying to lower my sodium but I'm also watching my calories. What good tasting foods are low in both? Everything I seem to choose for my diet is either low calorie but high sodium, or low sodium but high calorie. I'm a boxer and trying to get my blood pressure down naturally to 140/80. I'm currently at 160/70. Part of this may have been caused by "white-coat stress" but I don't want to take any chances. Any recommendations for tasty food that's low in both calories AND sodium?
Answer: Almost every raw fruit or vegetable is low in sodium (but not potassium). Potassium is a 'salt' and has been used as a substitute for sodium chloride. However if your kidneys are functioning OK, potassium is actually considered very good for the heart and blood pressure. Bananas, potatoes, tomatoes (to name a few) are very high in potassium.
If your kidney function is poor, high potassium foods can be dangerous.
Meat without added salt should be OK too. AND unless you are grossly overweight, calories really aren't the reason for your hypertension (salt could be making it worse, however).
If your Blood Pressure is high don't rely on low salt food to lower it. Ask your MD to check your kidney function (not just BUN and creatinine) - ask for a GFR (glomular filtration rate) function test. High BP can occasionally result from the stressor hormone renin which is involved in the creation of angiotension -- a hormone made by the adrenal cortex which sits atop the kidneys. As kidneys fail this hormone is generated to ramp up BP and try to get the kidneys to clear toxins. In the case of kidney failure, this hormone only causes further problems.
You can find out if this hormone is involved in your hypertension by asking your MD for a BP drug called an ACE inhibitor (Vasotec - is one such drug). Or you can take an Angiotension test. ACE drugs are becoming very popular because they have been shown to offer some protection to the kidneys.
No matter what you choose to do -- DO ask your doctor for a low dose of some BP drug SOON. I work with people whose kidneys ave failed, and I have seen too many people in dialysis where high BP is a part of why they are there.

Answer: Hey, I know exactly what you mean cuz I'm having the same problem. But I have discovered a few good things. . . Alot depends on what you like. Try some of these: any veggie with fat free ranch dressing.
Pretzles dipped in cottage cheese
Vanilla wafers
lowfat yogurt with a tablespoon of fat free cool whip
Jello w/fat free cool whip
a cup of fat free hot chocolate (comes in packets)
popcorn (no butter)
a slice of turkey, a slice of apple, on any whole grain
cracker that's low in fat
any fresh fruit, dipped in whipped marshmello cream(it's
fat free, but has sugar so just don't eat tooooo much
Low fat peanut butter, one tsp on a celery stick
soups! But no "cream of" types. Only clear broth.
Fat free milk with a squirt of Hershey's choc. syrup, its fat
free!
Turkey bacon and 2 scrambled eggs, whole grain toast.
Tootsie rolls and twizzlers if I really need sugar!
Those are just a few things I kind of stick with. Most importantly is do not go hungry. I eat every 2 hours and I've lost 16 pounds in 2 months. I know that probably sounds really slow to you, me too. But it is actually working. I really concentrate on getting lean protein, whole grains, and fresh fruits. I don't like many veggies, but if you do it will really help. Those are things that take longer to digest and keep you from getting hungry every 5 minutes. I even eat one or two snack size (2 bites) hershey choc. bars every day and I'm still losing, for the first time in my life! And... walk, walk,walk!!!! And Drink Lots of Water!!! I am proof...it really works! Good Luck!!!
