Answer: Hi from Montreal, Well if you buy frozen food it will be from 3 to 6 CAD. I like comensal since I'm vegetarian. But you might need to add a fruit and a tee from home. On a subway or Padthai similar fast food, between 7 and 11 CAD. If you cook at home depends on where you buy your food... between 3 to 8 CAD.

Question: How does one transport lunch to school and still be totally cool ? My 5th grade, 10 yo son doesn't want to take his lunch box to school in fear of looking like a nerd. The lunch box is plain, no charactures. How else can he transport the lunch and still be totally cool ?

Answer: What are the other 5th graders using? My 5th and 6th graders still use lunch boxes, but so do their classmates. When we can't find our lunchboxes, we use brown paper lunch bags (though they are kind of small if you want to send a bev. and tend to break if you have an apple or other large fruit), or plastic grocery sacks. The downside of these options is the fruit bruises and the lunch gets warm, maybe even dangerously warm. String cheese and go-gurts can be frozen, and this helps to keep the lunch cooler. Or put the lunch in a paper bag inside the insulated lunchbag in his backpack. At lunchtime, voila! His lunch is cool and he is too!

Answer: I take a turkey sandwich and an apple to work everyday. There are many different kinds of turkey that you can buy at your local deli. I find my variety in the diffrent flavors, such as cajun, sun dried tomato, honey roasted, regular. There are also a wide variety of apples to choose from ranging from sweet flavors, tart and just regular old apple. Turkey is one of the leanest meats available. If I get sick of turkey I eat Chicken or Chicken salad. If it must be hot dogs they make some with turkey meat. I read somwhere its is unhealthy to eat more than two regular dogs a week

(I avoid meat though, so my list may be limited) - frozen Chinese/Japanese dumplings steamed/pan fried and dipped in vinegar and soy sauce - salads, especially bean salads, tuna salads, salads with roasted veggies on top, etcetera - homemade salad rolls (the kind wrapped in translucent rice papers) - homemade macaroni and cheese - falafels - curries with store-bought curry paste

Answer: My daughter liked peanut butter and jelly or honey. Just be sure to put the pb on both slices so the sweet part doesn't make the bread get soggy. Have a piece of fruit, or one of those snack containers like applesauce, and a water bottle of course. Hint: if you take those little snack containers, put them in a ziploc in case something hits your lunch so it doesn't leak all over your stuff, and don't forget a spoon! She also liked cold pasta salad, or chef salad; or those little cheese wedges with good crackers and some fruit. Good for you for making your lunch. Have a cookie.

Question: What are some good things to bring to work for lunch? My husband has always worked as a subcontractor and was able to come home for lunch or if he was very busy would skip lunch. Now (after rupturing a hernia for the second time) he is working an office job and is too far away to come home so he has been eating fast food five days a week. Answer: The wonderful world of brown bagging it. Does he have a microwave and a fridge available. If he does than it's a no-brainer. My wife will make 5 days worth of Chicken stir fry and I tupperware it to the office everyday. Healthy/Economical and Tasty. You can even add rice if you like...but if you are trying to drop the weight I would suggest brown rice if any at all. Guys don't want to pack a lunch every morning....it sucks. I would rather go without than make a sandwich every morning. I think men have a problem with making food without eating it right then. At least if you do it on Sunday it will be done in one shot. Alot of the times we will eat stir fry for dinner on Sun and I take 3 or 4 days worth the following week. Good Luck.

Answer: You can eat cold cuts without heating them up...that's on old wives tale. I know MANY people who ate them while pregnant and their babies were perfectly fine...I've been eating them myself as well. Dr. says it's fine.

Answer: If you are on a semi-diet, try vegetables and fruits. They are healthy and eating tomatoes and cucumbers will make your acnee simply disappear. Try mixed salads of fruits and vegetables. When you are in mood of proteines, try easy meat like chicken or fish.

Answer: Have you tried lunch-ables? The grocery stores usually have their brand too and that is a bit cheaper. Also, my kids have liked chicken salad and crackers or any type of wrap. Last there is always a thermos option for hot or cold food. Hope this helps.

Answer: mid 90s when i was in elementary was a Lunchable. The good kind though with the drink and dessert. The pizza ones were pretty big.

Answer: eat a subway sandwich or something light like a salad with some grilled chicken. your stomach shouldn't be bloated in a few hours after you eat as long as the food doesn't contain a lot of sodium. I would definately stay away from anything processed like fast foods, soups, salty crackers, chips, frozen meals, etc. And be sure to drink water and not soda throughout the day.

Answer: You could always go for the classic: mac n cheese and hot dogs. That's what I always made as a kid. Just get a box of mac n cheese and follow the directions. I suggest you boil the hot dogs, just put them in a pan of water on the stove and wait for it to boil. Voila, they're done. You can always wrap them in paper towel and put them in the microwave for about 30 seconds give or take a few seconds, but they're not as good that way. It is simpler though.

Question: What should i eat between lunch and dinner? Hi, I am trying to avoid eating casually between lunch and dinner. Because it not only makes me gain weight, but effects negatively my psychology too. There is around 6-7 hours between lunch and dinner so I get hungry. But I have this kind of situation: If I eat a little thing (an apple, or that kind of small things) it makes me even more hungry. Answer: Yes, it's important to eat a good snack between lunch and dinner. Go for some protein, because that will help power you through the afternoon and will fill you up so you won't want to eat more. I recommend: cottage cheese with fruit (serious protein there!), apple slices with peanut butter, or a bagel with cream cheese (surprisingly, bagels have a lot of protein too). Avoid sugar, because that won't give you energy and can leave you craving more. That's probably what the apple is doing. Hope these ideas help! :)
