Mlm
Question: How much would a programmer charge to set up an MLM website? Just curious. I have a cool MLM idea, and wondering how much it would cost to get a professional website, needs to have a back office and be regenerating, like most MLM's. Also are there any templates that can be used to make the set up less expensive?
Answer: For a professional, maintained, durable website you're looking at paying hundreds, maybe thousands for design and upkeep. Try going to a company that you can meet face to face with, but also being professional at the same time. Your local city possibly.
Question: What do people in MLM use to assess the business opportunity financially? Being that all MLMers tell you its a business, I am wondering what business principals are used to assess the opportunity from a financial point of view.
For instance, last year I bought an apartment building and my investigation of whether it was a good financial opportunity consisted of looking at the gross and net incomes for the prior 3 years (verifying income and expenses) , looking at the market rents and occupancy rates, and calculating the average sales prices (on a per unit base) over the past 6-12 months within a 1 mile radius. All that information was used in my financial assessment of the deal and to help me decide whether it was worthwhile.
Looking at financial statements is key in buying any business, but I have never heard of this in MLM. Other than statements made at a meeting or from their sponsor, what financial criteria is being used to decide whether the MLM "business opportunity" makes sense financially and is it ever verified?
Mexico4me, so your research was merely looking at a COMPENSATION PLAN! Oh my, how sad.
What exactly did you verify? That the plan would pay a particular compensation percentage? So, you are telling me your upline number's, someone who is supposedly making money running this MLM business, was of no interest to you?
Yes, you are delusional. Thanks for proving my point!
Answer: MLM's make 90% of their money through turn-over. Constantly repeating a cycle of recruiting, training, selling and quitting.
Most people will join, sell what they can to friends and family, then quit.
It's only an opportunity for those willing to recruit and train. Problem is, once you realize you are selling overpriced crap to your friends and family, most people won't be able to recruit anyone if they don't believe in the product they are selling.
Bottom line, MLM's are tough for most people to make any real money at, unless you stick through it long enough to recruit lots of people below you, where you make money on their sales.
And of course no one wants to show you their books or really look at hard figures, because it's all pie in the sky.
Question: What are the companies that are providing excellent MLM oppurtunities in India right now? What are the conditions that a company must fulfill so that it may be regarded as a good MLM company?
Answer: All of the MLM companies that I am aware of are complete ripoffs. Amway is one of the worst.
Do yourself a favor and just avoid MLM all together.
If you get involved in MLM you will lose everything you have. You will lose your friends, your family and your money.
Amway had to change their name because everyone was calling it Scamway. It's a complete ripoff. Only the people at the very top make any money. The money is made by making everyone buy motivational materials and attending motivational seminars.
I can't say anything good about MLM. It is like a cult. The followers are not allowed to question the leaders.
Good luck.
Question: What percentage of mlm people end up quiting? I think it is around 99.999%. Some mlm people have called me names for my opinion on this.... So I am curious as to what you think the actual figure is.
Answer: 100%
The clever ones who know how to milk the system leave to a new one where they start near the top of another pyramid.
The stupid ones who are being milked leave either because they have learnt the error of their ways or they are now being milked at the other MLM.
Question: Dear friends, i am planning to start a mlm company in india kindly tell me the procedure to start ? I am from India ,bangalore and planning to start a MLM kindly tell me the procedure to start the company?
Answer: Hey MLM,
I'd advise you to try to not pay for traffic first of all. A lot of quality traffic it free (i.e. Youtube, Facebook, Twitter). These are some of the top traffic sites on the internet.
Take advantage of these places, but if you want to make sure you're maximizing these sites to their full potential, feel free to contact me. I'm more than happy to help you out.
Good luck!

Question: How can one make money on line without getting involved in MLM or Network Marketing? I am retired and would like to find out how to make money on-line without getting involved in MLM or network Marketing. I would like legitimate way to do it.
Answer: Please go to warriorforum.com
and check Warrior Special Offers Forum
Question: What is the best way to recruit for a MLM? I just joined a brand new MLM and no one has really explained how to recruit or market the company and/or product. The more research I have done the more confused I get. The internet is full of people selling their way, but if I had a lot of money to start, I wouldn't have put my hopes into this company. And I don't need more answers that will cost me hundreds of dollars.
Answer: You have to learn to think slightly out of the box. For example, many people are out trying to preach the fruits of joining the Reverse Funnel System (a new lead converting system) but they go about it all wrong.
Instead of just using the company provided ads and doing the same thing as everyone else that has joined the company teh more successful marketers will use several methods to include:
1 - Myspace
2 - Squidoo Lenses
3 - Free reports: for example - http://www.howtosucceedatmlm.com
4 - Forum signatures...etc
There are many courses for sale onlien that deal with how to maket a program do a search online and you'll find plenty. However if you want a free education go hang out in the warrior forum. It's free and the information is priceless.

Question: Why are people in MLM so emotionally attached to the industry? I assess businesses for a living and look mostly at real estate. When I have been presented a deal and determined it was a poor investment, people generally do not get emotional or upset calling me names and telling me I am negative. This is the same in most business ventures.
But in MLM, you can express your opinion of it being a poor business choice and you get MLMers jumping all over you as though you insulted their family?
Is this because people get in to MLM emotionally instead of intellectually (on the hype as oppose to assessing it as a business), or is it because MLM is more cult like that they would like to admit?
plr2win, you have expressed exactly my point. The issue (well one of them) is that you need to depend on your downline for income, and thus at any given time, there are always more people producing less than is needed to provide themselves an income than there are actually earning an income.
You see, in real world business, whether it be sales, admin, management, whatever, the person working that position is always providing enough value to justify their pay. In MLM, the majority is always earning less than would justify incomes because instead of focusing on personal sales first, they focus on recruiting and thus need others in order to make money.
Show me a model where everyone is first made to do enough personal volume to make a good living then allowed to recruit and I will show you a decent MLM...but none like that exist.
plr2win - to further clarify, its not that I am suggesting the model is some unethical system, I am suggesting the presentation of MLM as a means a getting wealthy is a sham. Explain how an exponential matrix can keep supplying revenue streams for someone on your 20th level. You can't because at that point you would need millions and million of people in your organization. This simply yet another reason that MLM is flawed as a "business opportunity."
MLM like a McDonald's franchise...thats Ripe! It would be the same if everyone in your neighborhood set up competing McDonald's on every corner with no concern for how that competition affect each franchise, and also if the fry guys and cashiers only got paid when they brought their friends and family in to get jobs as well. Gimme a break. MLMers are kidding themselves with these false comparisons.
Answer: I think of MLM as more of a club than a legitimate business, people join because their friends and family recruit them and they make bad business decisions they might not otherwise make if friends and family weren't involved. I also think that their ENTIRE business model relies on them being able to sell you on the idea too. That is why they will go to great lengths to persuade you to join up, because they are financially inclined to do so, to the point of free informational sessions, trips, etc. Most of these legalized pyramid/ponzi schemes also have several classes that teach people to be relentless in their recruiting tactics, which would elicit the behavior you observed. I stay WELL away from anyone pushing this horrible business model...
Question: Has there ever been one in MLM who made enough selling before ever recruiting? I want to hear from any person in MLM / Network Marketing that has ever sold enough of their product or service to make a decent full time living (say at least $50k/year in earnings) before ever recruiting someone into their down-line.
The obvious nature of the question is to help refute that MLMers only really make money by recruiting. Say it ain't so. Also, what product or service did you sell?
Aircoole - see Avon.
Jay S - you hit the nail on the head.
Answer: If it were true that you can make money doing that stuff, then MLM wouldn't have the scammy reputation they have. The only people making real money on these things are the guys at the top that cooked up the schemes that you send your startup fees to.
Question: How can you tell if a MLM deal is for real? I am looking into getting involved in a new MLM deal. What are some of things I should look for? I will be at the top levels. That I know for sure.
Answer: You should always thoroughly research the company in question by using unbiased online resources and searching for negative information on the comany via Google or Yahoo.
The best way to do this is to do a search for the company name plus the word 'scam' afterwards (example: thismlmcompany scam )
Results returned will often include people who feel they have been scammed, or worse, links to pages on the FTC website or Attorney General sites talking about cease and desist notices or other actions.
You need to filter the results to be sure that what you are reading is not just competitors trashing the business opportunity.
You can also use sources like mlmrankings.com to check what the industry buzz is about a company. How many people are aware of the company and how it ranks against other MLMs.
Find info on the executive team and their history of successes or failures. Oftentimes new companies are launched by executives that may have just tanked a prior company and are just doing the same business under a new name.
Question: What is the best home-based business to start with a small investment that does NOT involve MLM? I am looking to start my own business. I have only a small amount of capital to invest. I would like to hear the comments and experiences of others who have done so successfully. I am not interested in MLM of any type.
Answer: Suggestions For Building Your Subscription Business
It is a Free!!!!!!!!!!
As an Independent agent of , your opportunities are unlimited to build your subscription business. As an agent, you are authorized to use magazine covers in any of your own promotional material. You are allowed to market your business any way that you want. Here are a few suggestions to help build your business.
(1) Think large for the long term, but think small in the beginning. Start your business by contacting people that you know ( friends, family, neighbors etc. ). Let these people know that you are in business, and explain to them what a convenient service you provide. Sample promotional letters are available upon request. For example: Since the average household takes approximately six magazine subscriptions, by ordering and renewing through you, they would only have to write one check, one time, to you, for all of their subscription needs. The customer also does not have to deal with any customer service issues, so if there is a problem, you can handle it for them (by contacting our office ).
(2) Network your subscription business as a fund-raiser. Contact local schools, churches, civic groups etc. who want to raise money for their organization and keep a percentage of sales as your profit.
(3) Take advantage of any gift giving occasion ( holidays, birthdays, engagements, graduations, etc.) Keep a log of all special occasions for your customers. For example:
When it is the birthday of the mother of your customer, contact the customer and suggest a subscription as a gift. Not only will your customer had not thought of previously. Again, you are providing a service and your customer will probably be glad that you called and made the suggestion.
(4) Contact local business who having waiting areas (family doctor, pediatrician, dentist, beautician, mechanics etc.) More than likely, these offices have someone who is designated to handle magazine renewals in addition to their other job responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for you to offer your service at little or no additional cost to the customer.
(5) Ask existing customers for referrals. Most businesses get their start this way. For example: Your beautician built his or her client base from referrals of existing customers. Word of mouth is the most powerful form of advertisement.
(6) Contact your local Chamber of Commerce to get a listing of businesses ( and their address / Phone Number) in your area. Write a letter of introduction, or use our suggested letter of introduction, to contact them. There may be a small fee to get this list.
(7) Contact large businesses in your area. These employees not only have reception areas, but the management staff usually receive a variety of subscriptions.
(8) Keep updates on new residents in your area. Write a letter to welcome them to the community and tell them about your service. Form a business relationship with a local company that deals with major purchases ( real estate brokers, car salesman ). Suggest that they give a gift subscription to any new customer who makes a purchase. If you deal with a real estate broker, you will know who the new residents in the community are, and you can contact them for other subscription business.
(9) Build relationships with your customers. Follow up with existing customers on a regular basis ( every 3 mos. ) to make sure that they are happy with their subscriptions. And there are NO problems. Hint: Customers follow up is crucial to your business. If you do not follow up, your credibility can be destroyed. If you only call your customers once a year (when it is time to renew ), they will be less likely to renew through you if there have been problems and you were not available to handle them throughout the year.
Here is a suggested contact schedule:
1st Contact - Make the subscription sale. Let the customer know that you will be contacting them in approximately 3 months to verify arrival of their 1st. Issue.
2nd. Contact or 3 months later - Follow up with customer. Make sure that the first issue has arrived.
( Please make sure that it is time for the subscription to start. If it is a monthly magazine, allow 8 -12 weeks from start date. If it is more or less frequent than monthly, it may take more or less time to start. If you are unsure please contact our office and we will verify for you. )
3rd . Contact - Follow up with customer and notify them that they will begin to receive renewals from the publishers, but to disregard them. Let them know that you will contact them in 3 months to renew their subscriptions.

Question: What are the 3 important points for the success of MLM? I wanted to know success secret in Network Marketing or MLM.Currently I am doing one MLM the company is based in USA.
Answer: - Believe in the opportunity. Share it with people because it will benefit them, NOT you. MLM has a bad name because a lot of people spend all their time recruiting, and not enough time training and helping to develop their recruits businesses. Your job does NOT end when they sign up. If you assure them success, you should help them get started so they don't feel abandoned.
- Stick with it. You'll hear a lot of 'no's ' and a lot of 'maybe's'. Determination and perseverance will take you far, but a pushy, overbearing attitude will not.
- Research. Know your company. Know what they offer. Know what your competitor offers. Nothing turns people off faster than misinformation or lack of information. A professional demeanor will help a lot too.
Also, remember that MLM is not for everyone-- even if it's right for you.
I work for a MLM company, but I am doing it mainly for the sales and to be a work at home mom. I earn my 40% on my sales, share the opportunity with those that are interested, and take time to train them and help them get started- one at a time. Having a big team/ downline is NOT a priority for me, it's a perk, and the people I sign up appreciate that a lot.

Question: Are there any real home based business that are not scams or mlm? I don't want to do survey's or mlm, no downlines or uplines, no reading upon reading and filling out forms after forms only to have to fill out more forms. I just want the comfort of working from home and making real money for real quality work. No more ebooks on the secrets to working from home, or how tom and mary makes $10000 a month or more from home when they really don't exist. Can some one out there really help me.
Answer: Sadly most don't work. Think about it, if the key to wealth was working at home or some place else wouldn't everyone be working at home? There are some that work however, if you have the PROPER skills, note: some. For instance you could be an accountant from your own HOME, it's what my accountant does and she has a huge house and swimming pool. :) GOOD LUCK
Question: Is a membership/subsription to a website through a referal program considered to be mlm? I know that with mlm's you need to sell a legitimiate product. However i was thinking that if that product was a subsription/membership can you create a legal downline with that as a product?
Answer: It depends what the membership site is offering - if all it is offering is a money line or a pyramid scheme - it is illegal, if it offers advice, training, eBooks etc to members only then it may be legal depending upon the value that the site offers.
There are many instances of membership sites that are nothing more than Ponzi schemes and yet other membership sites offering real value and service are perfectly legitimate websites
