Natural Remedy For Allergy
Question: Is there a natural remedy or treatment for my cat allergies? We want to get our daughter a cat, because shes love them so much. But I'm kind of allergic, but not violently. And an outside cat in our area isnt an option. I can go to a friends house where there are cats and be fine as long as I dont touch my eyes or sit on anything with lots of fur on it. But I'm used to being careful. With my own cat, I would like to be able to hold and pet it without worrying about all the dander flying in my face. I would prefer not to take normal allergy meds, all that I have tried make me sleepy, even "non-drowsy" ones. Plus I'm not fond of the idea of taking a drug everyday. Does anyone know of any natural allergy treatments? I've seen them for plant allergies, but do they work for pet allergies, or is there a different thing for that? Also, is there an allergy shot that you can get?
Answer: Use two drops of peppermint essential oil on the back of your neck twice a day. This works for 98% of the people I've recommended it to. Test-drive this remedy at your friend's house before letting your daughter get a cat, just in case you're part of the 2%. You should be able to buy a bottle at the health food store for less than $15usd. Just make sure it's 100% pure essential oil. Please feel free to email me with any questions.

Question: Why is my dog sneezing? I'm using a natural remedy for sinus/allergy problems. Does anyone know if that works? She is about 4 months old, so I'm wondering if she just has allergies. She only sneezes a couple times at a time and it's only every hour or so, but goes on throughout the day.
Answer: Probably allergies or dust in the air.
Question: Where can I find all natural allergy meds for my dog? My dog has allergies and is always rubbing his eyes and scratching. The vet said try benedryl and I did but to no avail. I want to try some other all natural remedy before I take him back to the vet for some over priced pet med. Any suggestions?
Answer: You could have the dog allergy tested and see what the cause is. It might be easier to remove something or alter something than to keep treating it. Dogs can also get allergy shots like people do that desensitize them to what they are allergic to. I had a Frenchie that got them for a few years and then was fine.

Question: Anyone knows a natural remedy for skin allergy? every week or two my skin itches, I take medecine, but gets me too drowsy.
Answer: Try Oatmeal! I know it sounds silly.
Take about 2 cups of Quick Oats (any brand) and mix enough warm water to make it into a paste. You can mix more if you need more. Then just massage it into the problem areas. After you've massaged it thoroughly...then rinse...you should notice a difference almost immediately.
Question: Isn't there a more natural remedy for allergies to grasses? My pulmonologist just prescribed Xyzal and singulair. I read the side effects and know there is no way I can take these medications. I drive for a living which is not recommended while on these meds. Also, there is other side effects that cause the same symptoms I went in to see the doc for. Help me please to find a healthier and more natural remedy for my allergies. Thank you so much.
Answer: Local honey helps. Boost your immune system by adding some Vit C, Vit A, Garlic and apple cider vinegar to your day.
The best bet to avoid the drugs would be to find a good homeopath and get a complete appraisal and recommendations. We've had very good luck with homeopathy. We use a homeopath who is 1000 miles away too!! (by phone and internet) So, you don't have to just look in your local area for a highly recommended one.
I always get a kick out of the medicines that list as side effects exactly what you are trying to get rid of. How do you know if it is your symptoms or the side effects. psssshhhhhh

Question: Does anyone have a natural remedy for allergies? I am allergic to my parent's wood stove, and since I am here until after Thanksgiving I would like to find something better to take than benedryl/advil cold and sinus/etc.
The allergies are pretty severe: itchy eyes, sneeze attacks and interfering with my asthma (itchy lung sensation and wheezing).
Thanks in advance for any help I get :)
You guys are all wonderful! Thanks so much.
Answer: I have had the best luck with Stinging nettles in the Liquid, (I think Gaia makes the best brand) and a neti pot, or bottle of nasal saline (from any druggist) will help too - use as directed on the bottle
Nettle is a pretty decent alternative to antihistamines without the groggy factor.
Dont take my word for it....
google Pubmed, then search for "urticarica dioica" - the latin name.
I would post the results here, but its an internal search engine, so it wouldn't take you there anyway
Good Luck
Question: What is the best natural remedy for allergies?
Answer: This is such a broad question!
Allergies of what type?
are we talking about sinus and respiratory allergies?
Skin break outs?
food allergies?
I can only comment if this is about sinus allergies.. based on personal experience, I used to have sinus infections, runny nose, red eyes, and all that since i was a kid... I went to so many allergy doctors, they did the testing, injected me with the weekly allergy shots for a year(twice in my life time) with no success.... It was not until I went to a ear nose and throat specialist and asked to be x-rayed for deviated symptom which I had learned about myself on the internet, and then getting the surgery(twice) that my allergies reduced 80%....
i hop this helps.

Answer: Nettles, quercetin, bromelain, vitamin c, bioflavinoids, NAC. If you just take one or two, try nettles and vitamin c w/bioflavinoids. There are some good combinations, such as Country Life (I think) Aller-Max.
Question: do anyone know a natural remedy for acne? i have very sensitive skin and could not use cosmetic medicine due to allergy.only natural herbs or fruits can help.beside lemon, what else could help get rid of acne and how long
Answer: 1)Mix together honey and cinnamon powder until it's a paste consistency. Apply the paste at night to pimples before going to bed and wash it off the next morning with warm water. Repeat this procedure for two weeks and pimples will disappear forever.
2)Make an orange peel paste by grinding orange peel in some boiling water. Let it cool and apply on and around acne and pimples. This can be used any time.
3)Mix lime juice and rose water in equal portions. Apply on acne and or pimples and leave on for 20-30 minutes. Then rinse off with lukewarm water.
4) Use ripe tomato pulp on acne and pimples and keep on up to 1 hour, then wash off with warm water.
5)Apply raw papaya (including the skin and seeds) on pimples and acne.
Question: What is a Natural Remedy for Sinusitis?Allergies? I was just tested and I am allergic to nearly everything. I do not want shots and I do not want to take medication. Answer: The only known and THAT HAS BEEN PROVED TO WORK natural allergy remedy is honey that is grown in the climate ( more specifically within 50 miles ) of where you live...yes it has been proved..I was amazed by this...I am a 4th year med student and a Harvard study came across my desk...I suffer from allergies too..I tried it and it does indeed work..however, please know that some allergies REQUIRE medications and can be lethal if not treated.. so you might fall into that category...if you do decide to try the honey remedy..you MUST start it in the months preceding the spring, (ideally FEB, MARCH, APRIL)..remember it must be grown locally and taken ( 1Tbsp per 100lbs of body weight ) every day for the first 3 wks...and every 2 days for the next 2 weeks, then every 5 days thereafter for it to work appropriately..Hope this helps! God Bless!
