Question: Best way to naturally enhance my engagement photos with photo editing software? So we are getting engagement photos done by an amateur photographer for free. He's giving us the CD at the end and I'm going to use photo editing software (probably Paint Shop Pro, maybe Photo Shop) to naturally enhance them a bit. They are being done mostly outside at Disney so I don't think they'll need much (I LOVE natural outdoor lighting), but still. I photo edit all the time, but I like a lot of contrast and everything. What are some good tips for NATURALLY enhancing them?
Answer: For balancing, curves are a marvelous tool, as they can be used to implement many other adjustments, such as contrast, mid-tone expansion, colour cast correction (by manipulating RGB separately).
In essence, with curves, you measure (colour picker) a point on the image, and then use curves to change the input values to the output values you want.
For instance, you can lighten shadows by setting a point near the low end, and then dragging it upward - many of the other adjustments, such as brightness/contrast, highlight/mid-tone/shadow can be achieved using the curves tool, with more precise control.

Question: How can you dye naturally black hair to a brown shade? I have naturally dark, rich, and thick, black hair. I want to dye it to a brown color using over the counter, off the shelves, or salons to get my hair to change color. My hair is naturally dark black, and at age 17, I have a few visable grays, if that helps any.
Yes I want to dye my hair brown.
Bleeching it? Would that work? Does anyone else have any other thoughts on bleeching my hair then dying it?
And I've tried dying it with a lighter shade, but it didn't work.
Answer: Normal brown hair dye will work. Just buy a shade lighter than you want, because it will show up darker on your dark hair.

Question: How do I make my naturally curly hair less poofy/frizzy after straightening it with a flat iron? I have naturally thick, curly hair that I really hate. My hair is also not very long (only about 6 inches in length). I'm in the process of growing my hair out, but my hair is naturally very frizzy, unmanagable, thick, and poofy. I know part of it is because its not quite long enoug to weigh itself down, but is there anything I can do to make my hair not so poofy?
Answer: Try to work w/ your curls rather than straightening them. If you spend a bit of time learning how to work with them, I know you'll be surprised at how great they can look.
Some frizz-fighting tips:
* A good haircut is key
* Sleep on a satin pillowcase
* Don't shampoo every day
* Comb conditioner through hair in the shower
* Avoid terrycloth towels; use microfiber instead
* Air dry or use a diffuser
* Use styling products suited for your hair type
* NEVER use a brush
* Don't touch your hair
* A pomade is great for mid-day touchups

Question: If blackberries dry naturally on the vine, can you still eat them and do they still taste good? I have a wonderful patch of wild blackberries that I didn't get to take advantage of this year. I know that there are a lot of berries that are dry and just barely hanging onto the vine. Since the were naturally dried while still on the vine, will they be okay to eat? Will the drying process while still on the vine have sent all the flavor back into the vine? Thanks!
Answer: Blackberries unlike grapes are made up of multiple little ball sections which are full of seeds. When they're dried they're basically too hard to eat as there isn't the same fleshy content as with say grapes (Sultanas).

Question: Best way to care for my naturally curly hair? I have naturally curly hair, it's big soft ringlets. I usually just wash it and then brush it while its wet, and spray shine spray on it then scrunch it a little. Any other tips for my naturally curly hair?
Answer: I have hair somewhat like that.
Here's what mine looks like:http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x276/Miranii/Photo102.jpg
I never run a brush through my hair when it's wet; it pulls the strands of hair and snaps the ends. Try using a comb instead.
While it's wet; i put a small amount of mouse in my hair. I don't scrunch really. I just shake my hands through my hair if that makes sense; it makes my curls less kinky. I also blow dry my bangs to straighten them. Hope I helped!
