Answer: Bad because my question has been deleted today. But why? I asked a simple and innocent question.
Question: Arsenal now a selling club, How long before it loses its great footballing reputation and sinks? Arsene Wenger has said Arsenal need to sell every year and buy less expensive players to replace them in order to pay the club's £24m-a-year bill for the Emirates Stadium in the media today.
Selling clubs are not known for doing well, Now is the time for the top 4 to be reshaped, do you think arsenal have got 1 more season of top 4 football or is it over for arsenal now with them having to sell a top player every season.
Answer: you guys underestimate arsenal, its not that they are struggling for cash, its that they have a spending policy, if they were ever in the situation where they thought that their place in the top 4 would be in danger they would easily buy some players without even thinking, they can spend if they feel to but atm their priority is to get rid of the debt, but again of they really needed to spend big, i dont think theyd have any problem doing so.
Question: Why are bubbles now forming at the top of my aquarium? I have had my aquarium for about 3 months now. I have 5 Tiger Barbs and 1 Red Tail Shark. There have never been bubbles floating around my aquarium up until about a week ago. I don't know why they are there or what is causing them. Obvioulsy they are not harmful but just wondering why they are showing up now and not before.
The only change I have made recently is to thier food. I had flakes and now I am giving them freeze dried medley.
Answer: bubbles are caused by protein .. so it's probely their poo or just some dirt ..
get some cleaner fishes .. what are those called ??
Question: Is Obama now throwing away the black vote in order to win the white voters? Obama is now saying that Rev. Wright is "divisive and destructive" and that he is "sickened and saddened" by his former pastor. While Obama himself has previously said that Wright's opinions are reflective of the black church and the black community, but now he's changing his mind and is "outraged" over Wright. Has Obama decided to turn on his black supporters in order to gain white support? And how will the black community respond to his change of allegiance?
Answer: It's only a political move; forced to reject Wright due to adverse public opinion. If he weren't running for president, he would still be a member of his church and being mentored by him. As far as his black supporters are concerned; unless he flat-out changes his color, he'll still get their usual racially motivated 90+ % votes.
Question: Is it now acceptable to go without pantyhose at work? I see many women now with business skirts and bare legs. Is this acceptable at all companies now?
Thank you for your answers. I am old school but have been in grad and post grad school full time for 7 years now. All the women are off to professional conferences with bare legs. I think it looks too casual.
Answer: depends. must have legs shaved and it must be VERY HOT out. Otherwise- the classiness of pantyhose is timeless and will never go away in the workplace.
Question: Are philosophers now deemed useless due to the the advancing rate of science? It was once thought that you could solve earths problems by thought alone. But now that our knowledge of science is increasing so fast, philsophers are unable to keep up. Since the discovery of the quantum world, logical thought has proved useless. Is it about time we get rid of the word philosopher and replace it with 'scientist' or 'psychologist' etc? Do they have any place now in solving the worlds problems?
Interesting point wisdom. Don't you think spirituality could be explained by psychology though?
Theron, what an absolutely idiotic pointless tedious rant. How many rhetorical questions does one need to ask and base on one little point completely blown out of proportion. If you know anything about quantum mechanics you'd realise just how abnormal it is and incompatible with macro based physics - it is beyond what we once thought as logical. How about instead of even considering answering your question(s), you break away from your pretentious know-it-all atitude and go research some quantum physics. You've completely missed the point, reread the question.
good point phil
Answer: Science is rapidly leaving the mass populace behind. People don't understand them anymore. That is why they are turning to religion for answers. We need philosophers, to help people to think, now more than ever.
Question: Now that the Goddidit excuse does not need to be applied, why are religions thriving? In ancient times, when there was little scientific knowledge people used the ignorant explanation for things they could not understand by simply explaining that God did it. Why is the Sky Blue? Because god made it blue. Now that science has come to the forefront of society, why does religion still prosper?
Answer: It actually isn't prospering. It is waining in all educated countries.
Religious leaders are actually very concerned about it. The pope adresses it all the time, and leaders of major religions in the US meet to discuss combating it.
The Seventh Day Adventist Church, used to have a very strong growing base, now their pastors are visiting multiple churches and they are selling buildings to maintain solvency. The same is happening to Catholicism and Methodism and all denominations all over the country. Think about all the empty church buildings in your town.
They are there for a reason.
Question: Now that the snow is melting, my lawn looks like it has mold on. What can I do to get rid of it? Now that the snow has finally started to melt you can see gray fuzzy patches on my lawn. The area where it is, is not normally wet and it does get about 6 hours of sunlight a day. Will it go away on it's own, or do I need to do something to get rid of it?The lawn is only about a year old. Last year we did to much work on it to just let it die. I live in Northern Vermont if that is important.
Answer: It sounds like it could be gray snow mold (Typhula blight). Snow mold will appear as the snow melts off your lawn. They are more prevalent on lawns that use excessive amounts of nitrogen fertilizers in fall (especially a fast release fertilizer), excessive shade, excess thatch build-up and debris on the lawn (leaves, straw, etc.).
Snow mold will stop spreading when the lawn dries out and as temperatures increase (it is a cool season fungus). They may occur again next season unless you correct the cultural problems that have been listed above, especially the use of fast release nitrogen in fall. Next fall, reduce the amount of nitrogen you apply, lower your mowing height and clean up any debris on the lawn. Good luck.

Question: Do you blame your parents now that you are an adult for raising you in a rural area? Many parents from the 80's era believed that raising their children a rural or suburban environment was best and safest choice for their families. Now some children from that era are "blaming" their parents because they weren't exposed enough...to crime, violence, and multiple races. So now these kids are living in dnese city environments.. seemingly to make up for it, exposing themselves to the crime + violence that their parents worked so hard to sheild them from...what do you think? Will they move back to the suburbs? What should the parents do now? How guilty should the parents feel?
Answer: Parents should never feel guilty unless there has been some sort of abuse and living in a rural area hardly constitutes abuse. People prefer to blame their parents for ridiculous reasons, such as this one, in order to excuse their own shortcomings and avoid any responsibility for their own lives. Who knows what people will do or where they will live? And whatever the children decide to do after growing up is up to them and the parents bear no blame one way or the other, that is just puerile.
Question: What should I be doing now to get in a medical school? I know this question is redundant, but I really have to ask it. I just started college, freshman, and decided that after high school, I want to become a doctor. I am planning to major in biology, but as a freshman, what should I be doing now to increase my chances of getting in a medical school, particularly JABSOM. Should I volunteer in a medical-like setting, join a club that will increase my success, or participate in a research finding cure for AIDS or cancer? Please, tell me what to do. I am really stringent with myself right now. All I want to do is get a 4.0 in college. You know, when your dream is this big, you will be very desperate achieving it, even though you make yourself look and feel stupid to others just to catch your dream and maybe would not even have time to grief for failure, you must move on without looking back. So please, tell me what to do now, maybe one day you will be my patient.
Answer: Majoring in Biology is great. You may want to minor or double major in Chemistry. You could take some human relations courses (to make sure you can relate well with people). You also want to be strong in Math.
Does your college offer pre-med as a major? That would be the first major to choose. If not, do the above mentioned courses.
Get a job working in the medical field - plasma center, CNA, nursing home. Anything that will be medical related. You could also volunteer.
As far as working in the actual setting vs. research - that is something only you can answer. If you love research, then perhaps you don't exactly want to be in medicine. You could do research and go into public health administration instead of being a doctor. If you want to stay in the research aspect, you will spend hours upon hours in the lab, and you need to make sure that life is what you want.
In any event, you want as much experience as you can get. If you want to tie research in your studies, please check out the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. They have summer undergraduate research opportunities: you get PAID to do research and you can take classes for FREE! Just something to look in to for the future. It's quiet competitive, but with more classes (apply between your sophmore and junior year or junior and senior year) and by doing the summer programs, your chances of being accepted in the grad school will be better.
Question: What should I do now since bringing home a new young budgie? I bought a parakeet last night. Im not sure of his age but his band says 2009 and he was the smallest bird of the bunch. Now, of course he is totally freaked out which is normal, but what should i do for now just leave him be for a few days? How long should I wait before trying to interact with him? He has been holding onto the side of the cage gripping for dear life since I brought him home.
Answer: You are correct, this is a very stressful time for your bird and until you see that it has noticeably relaxed then all interactions with it should be through the cage bars.
You need to have spray millet in the cage and clip it next to the highest perch as height equals safety to a bird. Millet is a comfort food and usually the only food a stressed bird will eat.
Spend time sitting with your bird and talking sweetly and gently to it and it should start to relax in a day or two.
I am including a link to a good article on bird care.
Question: If now a bunch of teenagers start an Alternative rock band, will they have success? I am wondering, if now bunch of teenagers wrote their own music by using their old fenders and recorded it on cheap microphones, will they succeed?

Question: My kids are grown now and I want to start college at 41, any suggestions? I had my kids early and now they are 22, 18 and 16. I have an insurance license and other vocational certificates but now I am wondering if all the $$ for a degree is really worth it. Please give me your opinions.
