Nutrition
Question: nutrition? Alright. Through a series of many questions I have learned that my diet of fruits, veggies, cottage cheese, yogurt, and protein shakes is very unhealthy. Will someone give me a balanced plan of what exactly i should be eating at each meal to have essential nutriton, enough calories to work out, and also help my lose weight?
Answer: Actually, it is largely healthy. But you might want to add whole grains and a small portion of meat (if you're not a vegetarian).
Good luck!

Question: How important is nutrition to teens? And does the prospect of health problems later in life matter now? Not many people know a lot about good nutrition. And I mean really know. Most teens aren't even required to take a basic nutrition class in school. However, nutrition is the one thing in life that affects your whole life. Good or bad nutrition habits can affect your emotions, your your physical features including your skin, hair and bodyshape, and even how you treat others. Your nutrition habits will also have major effects on your health now and in the future. So how important is nutrition in your life?
Answer: Nutrition is hugely important in my life. Fresh fruit and veges and leane red meat. Lots of fish and turkey for protein. My body is a temple and I need to treat it right to keep my insides healthy. I also try to eat food witha high water content, water melons and so on. Fresh and natural is the key to a good inside. But if there is more I need to know please let me know.
I hope I answered you question You can tell how unhealthy you are by your bowel movements and its consitance( I know gross) but its true. As a 28 year old it is a high priority to keep in peak physical fitness. Although not a teen I still consider ymself as excited and energetic as a teen. Due to good nutrition of course:)
Question: What is considered good nutrition for a horse? I need to know about maintenance nutrition, sporting or working nutrition and energy feeds, and gestation/lactation nutrition for a horse. I prefer holistic methods if possible but any information would do.
Answer: The above answer is good, but if you are looking for a more holistic and natural diet, consider this. A normal horse should consume 5% of its bodily weight daily in food, 2% of that should be in hay or pasture. A 1200lb horse should eat 60lbs of feed a day providing he is being exercised, 24-30lbs of that should be hay or pasture. Maintenance diets should make up 3% of the horse's weight and can mainly consist of roughage (hay). Pregnant mares require balanced vitamins and minerals, good hay and grass are a must, sunlight is important too for vitamin D. Many feed stores carry natural supplements for your horses. I recommend feeding flax seed as it is high in vitamins Amino and fatty acids which are very important (buy it whole and grind it fresh every day with a coffee grinder ) it looses potency if purchased ground and they will not digest it if it is whole.
Question: What role does nutrition play in feelings after exercise? I eat a healthy diet with fruits and vegetables and it is fairly balanced. I also think I eat enough. Do i need to worry about proper nutrition if I exercise at a higher intensity such as running for up to 25 minutes? Is it possible to get exercise migraines if you don't have proper nutrition?
Answer: Yes you can get a migraine from over exertion. Migraines can come from cutting something out of your diet. Your migranes could also be coming from not having enough water flowing through your blood. Try drinking more water and see if your migraines go away.
Question: What career opportunities are there in nutrition? I have just graduated with a bachelors degree in nutrition and food science. I did not plan on taking this any further. Now I am taking the year off to apply to medical school. Medicine is my passion, but my chances of acceptance do not look good, so I am looking into a masters in human nutrition, and going on to get a PhD. I figure that I'll still be involved in healthcare, even if it is not my first choice. Besides teaching and research, do you know of any career opportunities in nutrition and food science with either a masters or PhD? Thank you in advance for your answers.
Answer: Nutritionist is a big one, there's a lot of demand. You could work at a K-12 school, almost any university, or even some companies that keep nutritionists on staff. Also, I think a lot of gyms have them. I have a friend who's a neonatal nutritionist and is very successful.
Question: What is the difference between a nutrition and a dietetics degree? Hi, so it's time for me to really think about what undergrad degree I'm going to work towards. But the university where I'm going cancelled their dietetics degree program (Faculty of Biochemistry) They do still have a Nutrition program. So, what I want to know is: Is there any significant difference between a nutrition or dietetics degree? Could I still become a dietition with a nutrition degree?
Answer: Almost anyone can call themselves a nutritionist and attempt to provide service without formal training, education and licensing. A dietitian, however, has completed several years of advanced college study to obtain at least a Bachelor's degree and Dietetic Internship. This training, along with completion of the registration exam, is required for employment in hospitals and other health care facilities. The career opportunities and salary potential are far greater for Registered Dietitians.
Bottom line, you can become a dietitian with a nutrition degree after you get more education. A degree in nutrition alone won't get you there.

Answer: Maybe you could work with FDA as a lab tech.
Question: How can i study nutrition to become a nurse? I know a lot of you will say look it up on the internet, but i have a lot and can't find a website that actually teaches you stuff about nutrition. I am not in college yet I just recently got into high school i'm a freshman but i want to start learning early so i'm prepared and ready when it comes to college. Question: How to make a career out of Nutrition and Fitness? I would like to make more of a career out of Nutrition and Fitness, but am unsure of a good path. I would like formal training/certification, but not necessarily a 4-year degree since I'm in my late 20s and work full time now.
If I become a nutritionist, I don't focus as much on fitness. If I become a personal trainer/instructor, I don't get the training in proper diet. Any suggestions on what career or certification would be a good mix of nutrition and fitness?
Answer: As far as I know, neither Nutritionist nor personal trainer are protected terms, so all you need to do is make up business cards and you are in business.
However to be at the top of the heap, becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist should be your ultimate goal.
Question: What is the best nutrition supplier for bodybuilders? From GNC, to Megaplex, to Animal there are soo many nutrition suppliers which one is the leader and most used among professional body builders?
Answer: It really doesnt matter where you get it, just what you're getting. Most of the products are the same, just vary slightly in ingredients. Optimum Nutrition's whey protein has always been on the top of the bodybuilding supplement list, and for obvious reasons. I ordered myself a 5lb tub of it and it was the best I ever had. They introduced it into the market first after all. For creatine, Higher Power is ranked #1. NO Shotgun still reigns supreme for Nitric Oxide. GNC, DPS Nutrition, even Sams Club carries bodybuilding products.
