I think I could make some extra money promoting and selling bodybuilding supplements and weight loss products, but because of my current occupation/location I can’t carry an inventory or ship products. Question: Are health foods/supplements a con? I just cannot believe the amount of vitamins/minerals/supplements that health food stores and online shops are selling to resolve all kinds of deficiencies which we are apparently all susceptible to. I appreciate there may be some benefit gained from them but we managed without them in the past why do we need them now? Does anyone here take them regularly and can you actually notice their effects? Or is it just scaremongering for money?

Answer: Actually very recently the media has been releasing news that multivitamin pills are, in actuality, ineffective. But I don't think it's right to say the same about all health foods such as fruits and whole wheat products. Those products are more natural and in the past people didn't process their food due to lack of technology, so they avoided many of the deficiencies that we are susceptible to. Also it is common knowledge that certain vitamins and minerals are actually necessary to your well-being. Lack of them poses a real threat to your health. Take, for example, osteoporosis brought upon by lack of calcium, or scurvy, brought upon by lack of vitamin C, and salts are essential for brain activity. It's just that vitamin pills don't cut it.

Answer: GNC sucks (always overpriced). - online sites/stores: ebay (if you know what you want), SupplementKingdom.com, supplementwarehouse sometimes has good deals but shipping is WAY too much, bodybuilding.com, etc. for certain products/brands - some other sites may be better - physical stores (Vitamin Shoppe is a good one, Target, Walmart have limited supplies as well)

Answer: Hey, I really don't think supplements are the way to go. Just try to stick to as natural, whole products as possible. Stuff like milk, beans, fruit, nuts etc.For each meal make sure you have a portion of fruit or veg, one of protein and one of complex carbs. The combination of these foodgroups will stop you getting too hungry. Add in a couple of healthy snacks like yogurt and you have a perfectly balanced diet. Aim for about 30 minutes moderate exercise a day and make sure you drink plenty of water. Good luck. X

Question: Does anyone notice an increase in attention span taking Omega-3 Fish Oil supplements? I read online about these supplements and it seems that the main thing they mention is how it helps with heart health. But does this really help you with attention? I've also read that it helps make your skin smoother?? Which of these are actually true?

Answer: I've never heard abut attention span thing but, yes, it's supposed to help with healthier skin. Also, instead of taking supplements, you should just eat the foods where the supplements are found, it's just healthier that way.

Question: What foods and vitamins are there to promote small intestinal health? I know my body well and though I eat relatively healthy and exercise consistently my small intestine seems to suffer from most foods I eat. Answer: Soothin, Really interesting that you know it is your small intestine giving you problems. Have you been diagnosed by a medical doctor with that diagnosis? Many life, social, stress, and biological issues are "felt" in that body area. What I know is that most of our medical issues are related to diet and lifestyle. It sounds like you are addressing both pretty well. Barring any medical condition I would suggest adding more fiber to your diet. Insoluble fiber (fruits and vegetables) help keep things moving through our digestive tract. Staying well hydrated with water should also help. I love iced green tea with a few ounces of orange juice in it, helps digestion and loaded with antioxidants. For a sweet snack try 3 dried plums and 3 dried apricots. The fiber keeps things moving... Answer: Man I wish that there was such a place but I haven't found it yet.You can't count on anything except clinical research.Finding published results is very difficult and you usually only find a few lines out of the studies in articles.Muscle and fitness believe it or not sometimes publishes articles like this but you can only usually trust them if there is a tiny printed number after every claim made in the article text. Question: Can Omega3 Fish Oil supplements cause vaginal odor? I recently purchased some Omega 3 Fish Oil capsules on the recommendation of my stylist for hair health. Answer: Yes it's possible. This can happen with MANY supplements though, even multi vitamins. However, any odor you might develop won't be permentent. SOmetimes it takes the body a while to adjsut to the supplement. SO after several weeks. the odor should go away. If you're taking a high dosage, that might cause odor too. Some simple tricks you can use to help neutralize odor is drinking LOTS of water. This will help dilute your natural discharge. Also, eating lots of fruit will help neutralize the smell.

Answer: As someone with a new online business, I would say the first thing you need to figure out is what you topics you like, and if you're good at selling them. I think sex is the most searched word on the internet so you would definitely have a large market to work with--but it's really all about starting something that is unique for you. I would try to focus on a business idea that draws away from the conventional online businesses--even if you try a business with say, sexual health--do it in a way that is different.. Only you can determine which business is worthy for you to spend 15+ hours a day working on--cause trust me, in the beginning you'll certainly be working that hard.

Ive recently started taking 2 vitamin B-complex/B-12 pills to aid with my slow metablolism The bottle says "promotes energy metabolism and nervous system health.Ive searched online and found that the B-12 doesn't absorb very quickly and whatever the body doesnt use gets urinated/sweated out (my pee is bright yellow). It said there were no reports of an overdose, but lots of bad things happen when you have a deficiancy. I dont take any other vitamins or diet supplements. I do use Alesse as an oral contriceptive but that's it. Am I doing anything beneficial taking these 2 pills a day or does it just not make a difference???? It breaks down to the following: 14mg B-1, 28mg B-2, 50mcg B-12 or; apx.Daily Values- 900% B-1, 1,648% B-2, 834% B-12 ****Ive lost 90lbs in the last 2 yrs, Ive got the diet and exercise down, Im still 173lbs and still have some weight to drop. I found these in the medicine cabinet and figured maybe it could help. I have NO metabolism, I swear Im almost dead!*****

Answer: Vitamin B12 is required to maintain healthy nerve and red blood cells. I believe it is associated with proteins, since it is usually found in most meat. The recommended daily allowance for the amount of B12 one should be taking is too miniscule to list, since you should take in about 2 micrograms everyday. For the most part, people take in enough to fill their needs. And there are no extreme side effects that I know of in regards to taking in more than the daily allowance. Unless you're a vegetarian, I wouldn't worry about having a deficiency of B12. You could do without those pills and invest your money elsewhere. *I apologize for failing to mention some tips to speed up your metabolism. The more times you eat a day, the more your metabolism will accelerate. Be sure to control those portions, though. Another big factor into a fast metabolism is muscle. Lifting weights 3 days a week will help tremendously in boosting your metabolism. I hope this helps.
