Pains
Question: Pains????? What do implantation pains feel like?
Answer: most women cant feel it. but those who claim they can say it feels much like period cramps.
Question: How long after ovulation pains do you actually release the egg? I'm having ovulation pains right this minute! My LH surge was confirmed this morning and later on today by positive ovulation tests. The pains i'm experiencing are definitely ovulation pains on my right side.
How long after getting these pains does your body actually release the egg?
And anyone know how long it is until the egg could actually be fertilised? (had sex this morning, planning on doing it again tonight)
And finally, if an egg was fertilised, roughly how long is it until the egg implants into the womb?
Answer: Unfort there is no way to pinpoint the exact moment the egg is released, but once it is released you have 12-24 hrs to fertilize it before it dies. Continue to have sex for the next 2 days and then you have to wait at least 2 weeks to test. That's the hard part - waiting! It takes 5-10 to implant itself in your uterus. Goodluck!!
Question: Is it normal to have ovulation pains during some cycles and not during others? Sometimes about two-ish weeks before my period, I get ovulation pains, and once or twice during those pains, I've bled a little. I usually don't bleed when I suffer from those pains. However...for the next few cycles, I feel hardly any pain. Then, I get the pains again for a cycle or two, followed, again, by several cycles with no pain. It is normal to suffer ovulation pains during some cycles and not during others?
Thanks.
Answer: Hello,
Here are some sites with information.Good Luck.
Question: How do you tell if the pain your experiencing is Growing Pains or not? I've got like this ache in my shins, what do Growing Pains feel like? How do you tell the difference between Growing Pains and just sore legs?
Answer: The pain from sore legs is over exhaustion in your muscles. Growing pains are pain experienced in the bone, typically at the joints, where the growth plates are. If you are having pain in the shins, it could be pain radiating from the growth plates located in your knee or near your ankle. The pain should subside in a couple of days.
Question: What could these pains in my stomach be? I have a slight pain in the right and left lower corners of my abdomen. At first I thought it might be a sign of appendicitis because you have pains in your lower right part of stomach, but now it's on the left too. Every once in a while I get a slight pain in the middle of my abdomen. It feels just like the other pains.
The pain isn't that bad. It's definitely bearable, no doubt about it. It just feels like a little twist. I'm a fourteen year old girl. What could this be?
Answer: Do you take ibuprofen ever, because that happens to me when I take it...also, have u been punched in the stomach or hit in the gut, because there could be something wrong with your spleen. It could be lots of things...ulcers, tapeworms, I definitely go to the doctor...get a ct scan...
Question: What do pains in the vaginal area mean when your not ovulating? So Recently after my last period I got some really sharp breath taking pains inside my vagina (maybe near the vulva). I am worried, are those a sign of something?
Answer: It's a sign that Mr. Baby is gunna make his way into the new world. CONGRATS YOUR PREGNANT!!!!!!!
Question: Is it possible to feel contraction pains anywhere other than the abdomen or lower back? I keep having odd pains in my upper inner thigh that literally make me stop in my tracks because they hurt so bad. Could this be contractions or is it just a pain in my leg?
Answer: It could be a cramp or baby is on a nerve. I experienced that with two of my pregnancies. However, you can have labor "pains" other places. They aren't contractions, but can be a first sign of labor. With my third, my upper/inner thighs were very achy for much of the day. Not sharp pains or anything, but very achy and a different type of achy compared to everyday third trimester uncomfortableness. I didn't realize at the time, but that was my first sign of labor. I officially went into active labor around midnight and delivered the next day.
Good luck with your upcoming birth!!
Question: What could the cause of shooting pains behind my left ear? Its been 2 days now. The pain only lasts a couple seconds then goes away. It happens about a couple minutes apart to about 5-10 minutes apart. If i massage behind my ear it feels so much better but the shooting pains still come and go. I read that it could be an ear infection but my hearing is fine and there's no fluid coming out of my ear or any kind of ringing. What could this be?
Answer: One possibility that comes to mind is a mastoiditis infection. Mastoiditis is a bacterial infection of the mastoid air cells (small, air-filled cavities located in the mastoid process, which is the bulge in the skull behind the ear). This is not something you should ignore, since mastoiditis can be serious. Most likely it is not mastoiditis, but if the pain persists you should see your doctor.

Question: What is the best way to recognize the difference between false labor pains and a true labor pains? A.If the pains are mild, it is false labor
B.If the uterus can be felt to contract, it is true labor
C.If the woman can walk around during the pain, it is false labor
D.if the pains are regular and become progressively more intense, it is true labor
Answer: Ok let me start by saying that ever pregnancy is different, which means that every labor will be different. There is no best way to recognize false labor from real labor, unless you get checked by your doctor. Now to answer your questions.
A. Mild pain or Sharp pain, this depends on ones on pain tolerance.
B. With real labor an braxton hicks, the contractions tighten the uterus...this is just preparing the body for the act of labor.
C. Again, walking during false or true labor depends on ones own pain tolerance levels.
D. If the pains are coming at regulaintervalsls, please go see your doctor cuz that could be labor.
From mexperiencece, my first child (boy) i went into labor at 35 almost 36 weeks. When i lost my mucus plug, an started having contractions i went into the hospital. At this point i was only centimetersrdilateded, so i was sent home, because my water had not broken. For a week i had contractions every twenty minutes, and i would nodial atete any more. The doctors let me stay in pain an would not induce until the contractions came ten minutes apart. go figure, rite. My pain was not to bad to keep me from normal activities or sleep. At 36 weeks they let me come in an broke my water, even tho i was still only centimesrdilatesed. Now that is when the pain was tintensece for me to handle. He was born 3hrs later. With my second child (girl) i had to be induced, still on my due date, but the same dull contractions for a few weeks, an my blood pressure was high. They started to induce the labor at 9am, and at 2pm my water broke, an by 3pm my little girl was born. Now i am 33 weeks pregnant with my third, (boy) and started having contractions a few weeks ago, braxton hicks or real, i have no idea...lol, they are annoying at most. Mbladderer starts to hurt, an my bowels empty so i believe they are real. So far as i know i have not started tdilatete, but my cervix has started to thin out. so who knows when it will happen.
Question: How can you get rid of period cramps and pains? I have horrible menstrual cramps and pains especially around my lower stomach. Every day I lie in bead moaning because of how bad the pain is.
If there is any advice to get rid of some serious pain, please let me know!
Thanks
Answer: How much do you weigh? I am about 106lbs and I take 3 ibuprofin with water. Sometimes it knocks me out for about 45minutes, but it sure does take away the pain. Tylenol, etc. never works for me. I was once told that the pain is like muscles cramping, and muscles are what ibuprofin works best on. Try it and tell me how it worked for you.
Question: How can you tell the difference between normal back pains and pregnancy back pains? I was just wondering if you could tell if its pregnancy back pains or just normal lower back pains? and during pregnancy does your lower back swell a bit? just a random thought.
Answer: How far along are you? If you are in your late second semester or third semester it is probably the weight of the baby et al causing your back pain. Everything swells a bit during pregnancy. Write down these questions and ask your doctor during your next visit, they are familiar with you and can answer your questions and provide you with peace of mind much better than we can on this site. :^)

Question: What causes temporary chest pains and numbness in left arm? I get temporary chest pains that last 10 minutes and when I get those, my left arm goes numb? What can cause this? The last time I had this was about 2 weeks ago and it occurrs about once a month.
Answer: Get to a Dr. fast. You need to be checked out thoroughly. If you experience these symptoms before your appointment get to an emergency room immediately. Maybe you have angina pains, and need medication. But maybe something more serious is going on and causing damage. Please get medical attention! Best wishes to you.
Question: How come i am experiencing extreme head pains in the back of my head, after i attempt to do a push up? I've been working out for a few months now, and these intense head pains started recently when ever I tried to do a push up or use the chest press machine at the gym. The pain usually goes away after half an hour and I was wondering if anyone know what my problem is. Any help is appreciated.
Answer: When you work out do you have a trainer with you? Is this person checking out what you are doing? Or are you doing it at home, the workout? Maybe you are doing it wrong, could be that you are holding you head in the wrong position, even breathing the wrong way can cause pain. Be careful with the way you position yourself when doing these exercises. Be conscious of your posture and breathing. Before you start working out do you warm up? do you stretch those neck muscles?
If it continues seek medical attention.
Good luck and feel better ^i^♥♥

Question: Why do i get shoulder pains at night during the winter? I suffer from IBS, raynauds phenomenon and depression. I have noticed in the past couple years that I get strong pains in my right shoulder at night. I had the same problem last year except it seemed to disappear. Now that im in university this pain is really frustrating me because it makes concentrating on school work impossible. This pain started reoccuring about mid october and it seems to occur almost every night. When i was in high school i noticed the pain mostly affecting me during lunch hour. Any help would be appreciated.
Answer: Is the pain located between or near the shoulderblade? If so, have your gall bladder checked out...you could have a diseased gall bladder or even gall stones for several years and not know it.
Question: Shooting pains on left side of chest for 2 years made worse when you breathe, 19 yrs old heart is fine What? My 19 yr old daughter has been getting shooting pains on the left side of her chest for 2 yrs. She has seen cardiologist, orthopedic, physical therapist, gastrointologist, all reporting negative. Pain sometimes is dull a few times a week. What could it be? Also, not costocondritis. Pediatrician feels it is nerve damage from costocondritis. I don't agree. Pressure on spot does not hurt at all.
Answer: Well, costochondritis was my first guess. I have also seen two other causes from what you are describing.
1. Intercostal Neuralgia ; usually due to zoster, or chicken pox re-flair, or zoster nerve damage. Gabapentin works well, but you have to take it for 6 months to a year in high doses before it works.. little to no side effects.
2. A pleural friction rub or tear, or Pleurisy.

It is frightening to know how much is missed. Stay after this, and keep getting second, third, fourth, etc. opinions. Just because you have seen all of the specialists, they can miss.
Hope one of these helps. Hard to suggest more without seeing her, or labs, films, etc.
