Pregnancy
Question: Pregnancy?? Hey, we are TTC our second child. I have a 28 day cycle with ovulation generally on day 14 or 15. Our first child kind of happened without planning so my question is in regaurds to my cycle, what are the chances of sex on day 6 leading to pregnancy?
Answer: Not that common, the sperm die about 4 days after sex and by the time your egg drops they will have all been long dead.
Question: pRegnanCy.!? is drinking a very cold cola just right after an intercourse can prevent pregnancy? ? ? what other contraceptives can i use to prevent pregnancy when i already engage in sex, and i hadn't use any contraceptives before we do it? ? ?
Answer: of course it isnt..lmao. thats a silly question. good contrcaeption is the morning after pill or birth control
Question: PregnancY???? I am almost 2 weeks late on getting my period. I'm on B/c been on it for about a ;year.. I took a pregnancy test when i was a week late and it came back Negative...
Also, 2 days ago i had white discharge, Could i be pregnant or will i get my period soon>>
yes I've had sex. and i have an appointment this week so i was waiting till then
There is still a chance even though i took a test and it said negative??
the worrying part is easier said than done.. I do let him go in side of me..
is that the whole point of b.c. is so you dont have to use condoms.. at you make it sound like i'm a little kid and i'm not... 1% of getting pregnant is very unlikely..
No, other symptoms besides late period.. If i'm getting sick could that effect my period also..
Answer: Even though birth control is a wonderful thing, you have to remember that 1 little % that leave out when saying 99.9% effective..or something like that. I am not trying to make you worry, because worrying is the worst thing that you could do...just incase you are not pregnant, it will cause your period to be late...which will just give you a scare. So my best advice is to relax...keep your mind busy. This has happened to me and my girlfriend a few times. Another thing i am not sure but if you are letting him ejaculate inside of you or not??? really it is your personal business...but just for further notice, it might not be such a great idea..just because you are setting your self up for that 1% chance even more. I would suggest for the future using your birth control plus a contraceptive foam or gel. That is what my girlfriend does...they come prepackaged like a tampon and all you have to do is insert and inject the get or foam...or what have you. We use this just to be cautious to prevent any pregnancies. But please keep in mind that having the responsibility to make love to another person goes along with having responsibility to love a child. good luck to you.
hey...i am sorry for making you feel like i was insulting you by telling you about the 1%....it was not meant in that manner at all...i did not want you to feel like i was here to lecture you. I basically was just trying to say yes it is highly unlikely but there is a small chance. My sister got pregnant while she was on the pill and so did her best friend...and they both took it very responsibly.....so i guess it is just all up to God..I pray the best for you though. Honestly i really don't think that you are i am just saying always be prepared...but like some of the ladies said i am sure it is just stress. Best wishes....jason
Question: PRegNANCY!!!!? I am 3 weeks pregnant and my question is, is pregnancy really all that bad as it is made out to be?
Answer: It's different for every person. But, if you go into it saying it will be horrible, then it will. Some of my friends had a wonderful pregnancy, while others had troubles. I had some problems at the end, however when you hold that baby in your arms you completely forget and want to do it again :)
there are pros and cons. Your feet will swell, you'll feel huge, you'll be emotional, you'll have some cramps as your uterus expands, you'll have trouble sleeping, you'll be nauseous, you'll smell everything strongly...
However, when you feel your baby kick and move around inside of you, it's amazing. Plus, people will jump to do things for you, like open doors or get you something, because they don't want you to suddenly go into labor :) Also, your sex drive will go up and you'll be more sensative. Most importantly, you'll have a beautiful baby at the end.
It's worth it.
Question: PREGNANCY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? how long after having sex can you take a pregnancy test? i'm asking because i think my girlfriend might be pregnant.
thanks
Answer: hi there, it depends on when she ovulated, it can be detected as early as 8 days after ovulation occurs, but that is dependent on the level of HCG her body is producing and this level rises quicker in some women than in others. Hcg is the hormone the pregnancy tests pick up on. The earliest possible way to find out is for her to go to the doctors and request a blood test. This should tell you both straight away.
hope it all goes how you want it to.
xx
Question: PrEgNaNcY...........? Hi I'm 18 I recentli posted a question askin if I could be pregnant being tht five months ago I just gave birth to a baby girl who was premature two and a half months and is now healthy. My last period was dec 14 and the one b4 tht was on nov 13 a figured the pregnanxy regulated my periods and I been feeling dizzy and sick I have missed my period yestrday I took a hpt.. And Guess WHAT IM PREGNANT I'm excited I'm hoping this one is a boy n I cn actually expirience giving birth bcuz I heard u can giv birth vaginally even if u had a c section I gave birth at seven and a half months but I plan to fully carry this one.. I'm A MOMMY TO BE AGAIN
Answer: It all depends on how your incision is on the inside. If you are cut up and down then no you can't have a VBAc,but if you are cut on the bikini line(side to side) then yes you should be able to have a VBAC unless your doctor says otherwise.I've had 2 VBACs since having a C-section with my daughter 14yrs ago.The boys are now almost 7&9.You just have to be creful because you take the risk of rupturing. My advice is check with your OB and see what he/she says.
Question: Will home pregnancy tests still work a few months or ever all the way through the pregnancy? What I mean is, is what they are testing for only present in the first month or so of the pregnancy, or will they still work throughout the pregnancy or at least in the first half or so? Would pregnant women who were 2, 4, 7, 8, and 9 months pregnant get accurate results if they used a home pregnancy test? Thank you guys.
Answer: Pregnancy tests work based upon the high amounts of hormones we have present in our bodies during pregnancy. They work all through out pregnancy.
Question: Is there evidence that pregnancy causes the mother to develop an autoimmune disease? My grandmother and a cousin both developed severe rheumatic autoimmune diseases after pregnancy, when being previously fine before pregnancy. I have not been able to find any additional evidence of pregnancy causing an autoimmune disease to develop, but am wondering if anyone knows of a link between the two, either clinical or anecdotal.
I realize that pregnancy has effects on women who already have autoimmune diseases, but am trying to weigh the risks of developing an illness from being pregnant. Any additional information would be very helpful. Thank you!
Answer: What happens is that the disease is not active, but there, and flares after the delivery. Autoimmune diseases are "triggered" and often dormant.
I have RA. It was triggered by strep throat at age 27. I probably got it at about age 23, when it was assumed I had carpal tunnels from being a pastry chef. Turns out, after having the electrical test for carpal tunnels, I didn't have carpal tunnels. I was experiencing the beginning of my RA those years back, without the full-blown symptoms I had once the strep throat came along. Now I have the full-blown RA.
Keep in mind that giving birth is a traumatic event to your body and trauma can cause an autoimmune disease. People have been triggered into RA by car accidents, believe it or not.
Question: What pregnancy test is it that tells you how far along you are? One of my friends were telling me about a pregnancy test that tells you how far along you are in your pregnancy,up to three months I think she said. What is the brand/name of that test.I have took two first response pregnancy tests and they both came out positive.I am trying to make sure with much more expensive pregnancy tests. What is the brand of that pregnancy test, and what are my chances that I really am pregnant from two positive results?
Answer: It's the Clear Blue Easy Digital with Conception Indicator. It shows approximately how long ago you conceived. If you conceived more than three weeks ago, it only shows a 3+. Give it a shot! It sounds like you are pregnant. Good luck to you!
Question: How many pregnancy tests did you take before your 1st appointment? 33f, not quite 5 weeks pregnant and have this overwhelming fear of miscarriage, even though this is my first pregnancy. My first appointment is not for another month. I have an urge to constantly take pregnancy tests to make sure the baby is still there. Does everyone feel this way, or do I seriously have issues?
Please don't say anything mean to stress me out. I really want this baby.
Answer: You can test positive for a good week after you lose the baby and before you know anything is wrong. You can test positive even after you start bleeding with a miscarriage. Why bother?
Stop stressing yourself out, there's no rational reason your body should fail your child, or that the baby should not be viable. Stress is the number one cause of early miscarriage.
Get on with your life and stop freaking out, you're only making things worse.
Every woman wonders, but you have a choice of either driving yourself nuts and causing problems, or making the purposeful effort to stay busy and keep your mind on other things.
Question: How far into your pregnancy did you give Lovenox injections in your stomach? I'm about 25 weeks pregnant with my first child & have been on Lovenox injections of 120mg/day since I was 13 weeks due to a stroke. I've been giving myself the injections in my stomach & love handles since I began. Is it safe to continue in the stomach area throughout your whole pregnancy? I'm just worried about the needle coming too close to the baby as my pregnancy progresses. Has anyone given themselves injections in their stomach throughout their entire pregnancy or were you forced to move to a different area? Thanks!
Answer: I have been on Lovenox with both of my pregnancies. The first time I started at 27 weeks after a DVT was found in my left thigh. And the entire time with my second child. I started them in my first pregnancy in my stomach and love handles. However, I was having a lot of pain with them there. And the bruises were horrible. I have always been rather thin and I had no fat on my stomach and very little in the love handle area. So my doctor allowed me have mine put in my rear (my husband did them) and that worked out for me. Although I have heard of many people taking them the entire pregnancy in their stomach. It is perfectly safe to put them there. I don't think you can hit the baby with that short of a needle (although I know it doesn't feel short in your stomach) Although you can always ask your doctor. He/she might allow you to change the place like mine did.
Take care, I know those shots aren't fun.
Question: What is a chemical pregnancy and how does it work? I took an at home pregnancy test last week and tested positive, but then had my period a few days later. I would have conceived between September 20th and 24th, and my period came 6 days ago. I started reading up on this and found a lot of questions about chemical pregnancies. How do they happen? And how long will the pregnancy hormone stay in my system if the egg has already been flushed out? I can't get into my gyno until next week and I need to know what's going on now.
Answer: A "chemical pregnancy" is just another term for an early miscarriage. Many times this happens without the woman even knowing she is pregnant. Usually the reason for this is because of abnormalities with the developing fetus or due to the embryo not implanting properly within the womb lining itself.
Your doctor will probably advise you to wait for 2 - 3 months before trying again to conceive as it can take a while for your hormone level to return to its normal level. Usually it takes longer if you miscarry further along. So given the fact that you were only a few weeks along it should only be a week or two.
Try not to worry.... it is perfectly normal and happens more often than a lot of people realise as it often occurs very early on after conception and most people assume it is their period but a little late. I have had this happen myself and have gone on to have a perfectly healthy baby since then so it does not mean that anything is wrong with you.
Hope this helps and good luck =)
Question: when during pregnancy do you start to get heavy white discharge? I want to know if this sounds like pregnancy, it is a week after ovulation i have heavy white discharge and a little cramping. I've also been a little moody. I don't know if white discharge is a big sign of pregnancy or not.
Answer: It could be a sign that you are pregnant or just that you are about to start your period, but pregnancy symptoms don't show up until after implantation which usually takes 7 to 10 days so you wouldn't get symptoms till after you miss your period.
Question: How accurate is a pregnancy blood test 7 to 8 days after conception? My friend had a blood pregnancy test done 7 to 8 days after possible conception and the result came back negative. She is still having pregnancy symptoms. She asked the lady who gave her the results and the lady said that the test should not be done until atleast 10 days after conception to be most accurate. How accurate is a pregnancy blood test 7 to 8 days after conception? Thanks in advance!
Answer: I was told that a blood test can be done 9 days after conception and a urine test not until after the first missed period. I would definetly do a retest.
Question: When do pregnancy symptoms start acting up? When do pregnancy symptoms start acting up. Is it different for everyone? I just want to know. Do women usually get their pregnancy symptoms the first few days?
Answer: most women will start experiencing pregnancy symptoms as early as 4 weeks, but alot of women dont experience them until about 6-8 weeks, but yes, everyone is different.
