Prohormones
Question: ProHormones? I know this is a loaded question. I am looking to do some research on pro hormones. I want to know in your opinion what is the best one on the market today. (Since the ban)?
Answer: Heres the deal with prohormones: They are like steroids, they turn into steroids in the body, but more often then not they have more side effects then steroids. Also, you need to take something after using them to start up your natural testosterone production again just like u would have to do if you were on steroids.
Im not saying steroids are good, and im not saying to do them, but it would be better to do steroids then use a prohormone.
Question: Is it bad to take prohormones, and what exactly is post cycle? My boyfriend wants to start working out and wants to use a testosterone booster (I think that's what he said). Are prohormones bad? And what does it mean to follow up with a post cycle? Are there any natural remedies? And has anyone heard of Novadex? They said it was all-natural. Thanks.

Answer: Please don't listen to David. He has no clue what he is talking about. I am not a representative of any nutrition companies, but I have used tons of different supplements, all with positive results, no side effects. Prohormones are just natural chemicals, usually lots of herbal compounds, that have been shown to raise testosterone levels in the body. They are completely safe to take, and he won't need a post-cycle. Typically you post cycle after taking steroids. These, however, are not even close to steroids, and don't have any side effects. I hope he gets bigger. Tell him to eat a lot.
Question: why prohormones are strictly for people above age 21 and not 18? before anyone fly of the handel,im talking about legal prohormones.if they say its safe and non-toxic, why the age is so high?,obviously they make better muscle, because they feed your caloric intake to your muscle and not the fat.whats the big deal anyway.if any one has the answer, please write it.
Answer: Because at 18 years old, you are not finish developing as in your hormones, and taking hormones at this point could result in development in some unpredicatable and unwanted areas.
There are reasons for the age limit.
Question: Will a half cycle of prohormones still have results? I'm going to take prohormones but dont really have the money so im spliting a cycle with a friend. Will I still see results in weight and strength gain?
Answer: I would stay away from that crap. They don't work and maybe dangerous.
Question: What do you think about the following Prohormones? Stacking them together?
2a,3a,-epithio-17a-methyletioallocholanol at 18mg
[3,2-c]pyrazole-5a-androstano-17b-tetrahydrophranol at 40 mg
Should alcohol be consumed while on this cycle.
I am doing it for four weeks.
What recommendations for offcycle?
Answer: no alcohol
Question: How do levels of the prohormones ergocalciferol and cholecalciferol relate to LTL?
Answer: Vitamin D may have an effect on peripheral blood leukocyte telomere length. Richards and coworkers examined whether vitamin D concentrations would slow the rate of shortening of leukocyte telomeres. The authors stated that vitamin D is a potent inhibitor of the proinflammatory response and slows the turnover of leukocytes. Leukocyte telomere length (LTL) predicts the development of aging-related disease, and length of these telomeres decreases with each cell division and with increased inflammation. Researchers measured serum vitamin D concentrations in 2160 women aged 18-79 years (mean age: 49.4) from a large population-based cohort of twins. This study divided the group into thirds based on vitamin D levels, and found that increased age was significantly associated with shorter LTL (r = -0.40, P < 0.0001). Higher serum vitamin D concentrations were significantly associated with longer LTL (r = 0.07, P = 0.0010), and this finding persisted even after adjustment for age (r = 0.09, P < 0.0001) and other variables that independently could affect LTL (age, season of vitamin D measurement, menopausal status, use of hormone replacement therapy, and physical activity). The difference in LTL between the highest and lowest tertiles of vitamin D was highly significant (P = 0.0009), and the authors stated that this was equivalent to 5.0 years of aging. The authors concluded that higher vitamin D levels, (easily modifiable through nutritional supplementation), were associated with longer LTL, which underscores the potentially beneficial effects of vitamin D on aging and age-related diseases.
As a measure of systemic telomere length, generally, peripheral blood leukocyte telomere length is preferred. Systemic telomere length has been proposed as a marker of biological aging. A subject's systemic telomere length is predominantly genetically determined, but has several other known determinants: Age (shorter telomeres in older people), paternal age at birth (longer telomeres in subjects with older fathers at their birth) and sex (shorter telomeres in men, probably due to a faster telomere attrition). Evidence suggests that elevated levels of oxidative stress and inflammation further increase the telomere attrition rate.
Vitamin D is a group of fat-soluble prohormones, the two major forms of which are vitamin D2 (or ergocalciferol) and vitamin D3 (or cholecalciferol). The term vitamin D also refers to metabolites and other analogues of these substances. Vitamin D3 is produced in skin exposed to sunlight, specifically ultraviolet B radiation.
Question: If i take the Post Cycle Therapy after taking the prohormones, will my bone plates still close up? I'm 18 and still have a few inches to grow.
Answer: Ask your doctor.
Question: Is it scientifically proven that prohormones can stunt your growth?
I know lifting wont. I'm just concerned about taking a cycle.
Answer: steroids can but lifting weights is just another stupid roomer that stupid people have these days
Question: Are legal Prohormones allowed in the military? An example is methyl 1-d I am in the navy and need to to know if its baned in the navy,
thanks
Prohormones for building muscle, you can buy it at the vitamineshoppe, are u sure its banned?
Answer: They are not illegal. Generally, however, you are not authorized to use supplements while in training. Do not take any supplements with you to training, as they're usually prohibited.
Methyl 1-d, which I am familiar with, is not a drug... it is a supplement, and a good one at that. Once your training has been completed and you've been assigned to your unit, you should have no problem with taking this supplement, or any others for that matter such as creatine, NO, etc, etc.,...
Methyl 1-d is a DHEA Ethyl Ester with compounds that:
Reduce estrogen: "AI"
Reduce DHT: 5aR Inhibitor
Sulfotransferase Inhibitor
Glucoronidase Inhibitor
3bHSD/4-5 Delta Isomerase Upregulator
Naturally Occuring Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator (like tamoxifen)
Methyl 1-d is legal and not restricted by the FDA. In addition, follow your chain of command or legal office to get their opinion if you like. However, it isn't restricted by the FDA. Perhaps the Navy may have a banned supplement list--if so, request a copy.

Question: Best place to buy prohormones in DFW or Austin TX? What stores in DFW or in Austin would be the best place buy prohromones, I live outside of Waco, and we have a Vitamin Shoppe, and GNC. I would like to find a store that has different selections.
Answer: Most of the supposed prohormones in the vitamin shoppe or GNC do not contain any real compounds. They are basically over priced vitamins supplements. Those places only carry the most heavily marketed products.
If you want a real compound that I know works try FightLabs TEST400. It has 3 compounds, (Estra-4-9-diene / 4 chloro 17a methyl androst-1/ 1,4,6-androstatriene-3). TEST400 has an estrogen blocker and and a drug delivery system. Its has beta alanine which is great for endurace.
I did an 8 week cycle of TEST400 and my strength was amazing. My bench went from 295lbs to 365lbs by week 4 of my cycle. All my t-shirts were tight. I always had a problem getting my arms to grow, but on the TEST400 its like I was pumped all the time.
I took the FightLabs PCT (Post Cycle Therapy) ESTRO-TEST after my cycle of TEST400. It worked great for me, I felt like I was still on a cycle. ESTRO-TEST has alot of great stuff like a Testosterone booster and an Estrogen blocker. Its got Resveratrol for liver support. I'm very happy with the FightLabs line.
I know only certain hardcore stores have FightLabs products because their new. I got mine on Amazon.com, they sent me really cool T-shirt too. I would go to fightlabs.com and check it out before I would go to any GNC.

Question: Are prohormones good for muscle building? Im gonna get some i heard there less potent than steroids.
Answer: Yes they do and they are not necessarily 'less potent' than steroids. You also still have to take the many things into consideration as you would with steroids. These things have to be followed strongly, and this includes: Age (21 or older!), liver support, prostate support, other things for on cycle therapy, PCT (post cycle therapy), avoiding gynecomastia, controlling your estrogen and cortisol levels, knowing how to regulate your natural testosterone, knowing how to use a product whether it be methylated or nonmethylated, and many other things. Using pro hormones is strongly not recommended for anyone who does not have a strong knowledge of them, so if you do many sure you do some intensive research. It sounds like you don't know much since you only 'hear things' about them.
Pro hormones are just another term for designer steroids and they are legally now considered a steroid. What made them legal at the time is that they are merely just a chemical that turns into the steroid after going into the body. Also they have recently all been taken off the market but there are some places that do still sell them. If you do plan to get them just hurry up before they're all gone.
And BEFORE you even start your cycle (I recommend a 4 week cycle, especially for your first time), make sure you have everything you need: Pro hormone, on cycle therapy, PCT, and everything else.
I've barely even touched the topic of pro hormones so now you got some research to do.
They are not some simple product to be thought of lightly so gain some knowledge, it'll only help you.
And you won't make any gains without proper diet and a good workout plan. Start by perfecting this, and I bet you gains will improve greatly. I'm sure you'll reconsider anything such as a PH or steroids
Question: Prohormones supplement showing up on steroid test? and how long is it in your system? I heard that prohormones will show up on steroid tests. If I took it before, (eg 6 months ago) will it show in steroid tests? thanks
Answer: yea it would im not sure how long it stays in your system tho.
Question: What prohormone should I take to gain about 10 pounds of solid muscle. I have never taken prohormones before?
Answer: You might want to mention your age, weight, height, experience with working out, etc.... Most the time prohormones have more side effects then real steroids
Question: How effective are prohormones compared to real steroids?
Answer: they are more like mega doses of vitamins....................
if they were good pros would be flocking to them
