Question: Best Quick way to jump start Metabolism in morning? Some mornings I have 1-2 minutes to grab something quick and get out the door, other mornings I have 5+ minutes for breakfast. Any good ideas or quick breakfasts I can prepare by myself to kick off my metabolism in the morning? Any help is good. I heard even a big glass of ice water helps when you have just 1 minute. Ya I know, wake up earlier and I should get a big breakfast, etc. I know that, and not the answers im looking for.

Answer: Oatmeal. Also, if you have a piece of fruit between meals throughout the rest of the day, your metabolism will remain in gear, allowing you to burn more calories.

Question: Can the quick disconnect on the hydraulic clutch line to the slave cylinder be replaced? I am trying to replace the clutch in a 1992 Ford Ranger 3.0 V6. The quick disconnect on the hydraulic clutch line from the clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder is seized and wont come apart. I think I will need to cut the line because it won’t disconnect even with the special tool. The hydraulic clutch line from the clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder is $85.00 and the slave cylinder is at least another $85.00. Would I have to replace both the hydraulic line from the clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder and the slave cylinder it self? Or would I be able to replace just the quick disconnect fitting? I just need to know the cheapest way to fix it when I'm putting it back together. It is a hydraulic system so hose clamps and a rubber line won’t work I don’t think. Thank you. No the slave cylinder is internal and the hydrulic line needs to be removed to remove the transmission. the quick disconnect is plastic as is the line so a tourch wont work. So I should replace the slave cylinder as well as the hydrulic line then? or is there a way to replace only the connector ?

Answer: Man have I been there before! Living in a climate where road salt is used extensive and lots of customers with the Fords. Here it is. By the time I fiddle trying to get these suckers apart I could buy my customer a new one. Heres the next thing that sometimes happens. The master cylinder will sometimes fail because it may be worn and not stand up to the extra pressure of the new clutch springs. When you go to bleed the system, dont pump the heck out of it. Add your brake fluid and depress slowly a few times. Pumping it fast and furious creates bubbles and makes it hard to bleed out. Have a helper crack the bleed screw on the slave while you slowly depress the pedal, close the screw before you lift off the pedal. You may need to repeat a couple times.Then just tap the pedal to shake any possible bubbles in the line from the master, they will slowly rise back up to the top and out. Gotta add this edit. Didnt read you careful enough first time.....REPLACE the slave!! Otherwise its tear it apart again.

Question: Quick answer… how do you increase the temperature of coals in a grill? Plz, I need a really quick hint. Purchased coals, dunno what company, we already sent the package into tinder-land. Trying to make Shish kebab. Should we keep the grill open or closed while the flames are still there? Then close it?

Answer: Theres generally no way to 'increase' the temp,but the more volume of coals that are on the grill,the hotter the cooking surface will be. Try doubleing-up on the coals when you first load up the grill. For brochettes or (shish-kebab as you say) cook on a hot surface of the grill,(try to rotate them away from the flames,but still hot) around 3-5 minutes,close grill lid another 2 minutes. That should do it.

Question: What is the quick and perfect hairstyle when you are pressed for time in the morning? I usually wake up at about 6:00 and leave the house around 6:49, I need a quick hairstyle that will last 8 to 10 hours. My hair is extremely thick and long and is light brown. The only product that works in my hair [so far] is Aussie. I just need quick hairstyles without tools [curling iron, blowdryer] or hair products [the only exception being Aussie products]. Help?

Question: How do they make "quick" cooking grains and do they lose nutritional value in the process? I was just wondering, how do they make quick cooking grains like minute rice, quick oats, quick barley, etc? Does this process make the grains lose nutritional benefits (vitamins, minerals, etc)?

Answer: Both Minute Rice and instant oatmeal have been pre-cooked or par-boiled and claim to retain the same nutrients as before processing.

Answer: At 17 weeks and 1 day today and being in my first pregnancy, I haven't gained any weight so far! Go me!

Question: Any quick ways to start up an electric start 400ex? I haven't used it in like 3 weeks so it is being really hard to start. I don't want to just blast away at the starter, it will kill my battery. Any tips on getting an electric start 400ex to start quick? Thank you!

Answer: Make sure you turn the choke all the way on and hold the throttle halfway down. after it starts just keep the throttle down bout halfway for a few seconds. You may have to slide the choke back right awya or leave it on for awhile. Worse comes to worse get some starting fluid!!

Question: How quick can i get rid of a lip piercing infection? I have had my snakebites for a year. And I woke up this morning with my right side swollen, I obviously know its infected. But how quick can I get rid of it?!?, I have a concert to go to in 2 days and i dont want to go with a infected lip piercing. D:

Answer: it all depends, if you really want it gone fast you can go to your doctor and get an antibiotic, but i wouldnt recommed it unless its really infected. but it will go away if you clean it lots and dont touch it with your hands and dont play with them

Question: What quick but nutritious dinners do you make for kids playing sports? 2 of my 3 sons started playing competitive baseball this year. Practices are starting at 5:30 and 5:45 and going anywhere from an hour to almost 2 hours. We have 4 kids total and this is making serving dinner a real hassle with not getting home until 7:00 and later and still trying to have the kids in bed by 8:30. What quick but nutritious dinners do you serve on game nights? Help!

Answer: We usually do finger-friendly sandwiches with fruit and vegetables on busy evenings. Tuna sandwiches are super-easy and taste good with carrots and an apple. Peanut butter sandwich can be good with carrots and grapes. We pretty much stick to those and the occasional turkey hotdog on nights that we need to have a quick meal before practice. When it is scheduled early enough for us to eat after the game or practice is over, we break out the leftovers. If we don't have leftovers (or aren't in the mood for them) I do something like pop a few waffles in the toaster and slice up some cold fruit. (like strawberries or peaches) A small squirt of whip cream and some shelled peanuts are the perfect touch :) Good question. I am looking forward to seeing what else people do. ... By the way, we don't do syrup with the waffles.

Question: How can I become a better quick thinker on my feet? I am on the debate team and do PFD. My coach told us that for a team to be successful, there needs to be an articuluate person and a quick thinker. I have the articulate part down, I just need help with the quick thinking on my feet thing. During a debate, something called a crossfire occurs, where, basically people attack your case with question and you need to respond to those question and attack the opponents case. How can I become a quick thinker so I can improve my crossfires?

We're trying to eat dinner earlier so that our toddler can stay up and eat with us, but as I don't get home from work until 6.30/7 three nights a week we've got to have a few more quick dinners to cook. We do stir fries, pasta dishes, or ready meals (!) at the moment - any more suggestions?

Answer: One of my faves is a quick taco salad... fry some hamburger meat (season with salt/pepper/garlic salt), let it cook while you chop up some lettuce and tomato and toss it all together in a big bowl (drain meat first). Grab some cheese, salsa and sour cream for topping. Scoop up with tortilla chips. Usually takes about 15 minutes and has easy clean up. A quick bake penne - boil penne, heat up sauce; add it all together and put in a baking pan, top with mozzerella - bake for 15 minutes @ 350 (also tastes good wtih grilled chicken or sausage).
