Answer: Look up "pneumoconioses" for unusual respiratory conditions.
Yes asthma is a local pulmonary condition. Receptors within the lung over respond to allergens. In other words it is hyper reactive airway condition.Yes. there are other types of asthma but by far the most common is the allergic type.
There are parasitical and fungal conditions which are as fascinating as they are deadly. Look under the different types of pneumonia.
Fibrosis from immunological conditions are interesting too.
To me it's all interesting but that's just me.

Answer: Respiratory diseases refer to the lungs. There is a wide range of respiratory diseases. From asthma to Emphysema, to Bronchitis, Pneumonia, exposure to certain chemicals, problems with the immune system. It's would be hard to list them all here.

I'm gonna take a guess and say:
1. Emphysema - alpha 1 anti-trypsin defiecency. Its hereditary
2. Asthma - also hereditary
3. Cystic Fibrosis
There is also persistant pulmonary hypertension, but that's probably more of a cardiac issue. Maybe even bronchiectasis, you may want to check that one out too.

Answer: I'm gonna guess it's because generally overweight people aren't treating their bodies very well. So they not only are at risk for respiratory illnesses, but circulatory illnesses as well.

If you're looking for just infections, it's harder:

2. Lobar pneumonia
3. Bronchitis (which you already have)

Answer: It is an old wives tale. i have COPD and dairy products do not bother me.

Answer: They're probably looking for Emphysema but air pollution alone cannot produce Emphysema. Bronchitis, yes, pneumonia, very unlikely except as a complication of the bronchitis.
If this is a question on a test, as I said, they're probably looking for emphysema.It's a common misconception.

Answer: respiratory disease is associated with the lungs, not the heart. Although, the two often occur at the same time and for much the same reasons.
