Question: what is the proper diet for diabetic person with highblood and rheumatism? My father is a diabetic person. It's hard for me to prefer his meal because aside from diabetes he's also suffering from rheumatism with high blood. I am looking for a perfect meal that will not harm him or will not cause more of his sickness. Is there any person out there that can help my problem? It will be my gratitude to hear from you... Thank you!
Answer: Avoid sugar and high amounts of carbohydrates. Eat balanced meals with whole grains at regular times. Losing weight helps control diabetes and high blood pressure.
Question: Rheumatism and Arthritis. Do they have the same food limitaton like high protein foods? I was diagnosed with rheumatism by way if interview only and subsequently given prescription. No mention about food not to take. I already know that high protein food such as peanuts is bad for arthritis. I wonder if this is true also in RA.
Answer: I never heard of food restrictions other than sugar.
Some believe that Arthritis is a product of fungal micro toxins. That feeds on sugar.

I'm curious as to what did the doctor give you, a pain pill ??
Question: Are both rheumatism and lymphoma connected through the immune system? What is the correlation between lymphoma and rheumatism in Sjogren's Syndrome?
Basically, what part of the body connects "rheumatism" (I assume that concerns the bones in some capacity--but something else I'm missing) WITH lymphoma?
Sjorgren's disease is typically consisted of the two above conjointly. My question is what provides the inertia for the cause of rheumatism to cause/morph into lymphoma?
By what means does it travel from the bones to the lymphs?
Answer: Rheumatism is an auto immune disorder. The bodies natural antibodies which should attack foreign objects like bacteria and viruses, actually attack the joints. This causes deformities and one can be crippled or hands deformed. However they do have several types of injections to take to help treat this. Sjogren's Syndrome is another auto immune disorder. It makes for very dry eyes, dry mouth, etc. When you have certain auto immune disorders you are at higher risk to develop lymphoma which is passed through your blood into lymph system.
Question: Do meat like pork and chicken really cause rheumatism and Arthritis? How? I have been experiencing pain in my knee. As an avid "meat eater" and as a part of a family who has a predisposition for joint pain and high blood pressure, does minimizing intake of meat especially pork and chicken decrease my chance of getting Rheumatism or joint pain?
Answer: you might have symptoms of gout. only a doc could really answer that.
Question: Gouty arthritis is caused by high level of uric acid in the blood. What about rheumatism? I was wondering why doctors simply diagnose patients to be afflicted with rheumatism without tests at all. Their priscriptions usually end up as PAIN RELIEVERS only with costs widely gapped. NOT cure thus the pain always return after the priscribed drug is consumed or after the pain has become emmune to the drug.
Answer: I do not know of any doctor that diagnoses rheumatic disease with out test at all. If your doctor did then it is time to see a new doctor.
It is hard to diagnose Rheumatic forms of arthritis. The way different forms of autoimmune forms of arthritis are treated are different. Therefore it is important to get a proper diagnosis.
There are many different types of test that are used to diagnosis RA and other forms of autoimmune arthritis.

Question: Why does many farmers have rheumatism? We conducted a study and found that many farmers have rheumatism. What do you think is the reason behind?
Answer: I think you ask people with other occupations you find very similar number of people with rheumatism. Also, was this condition diagnosed? or people just assume that joint pain is disease? Farmers work hard, wear out joints fast. Not necessarily joint disease.
Question: What are alternative ways to ease rheumatism pain or cure rheumatism altogether? My mom has rheumatism and medications don't apply to her anymore, are there alternative ways to ease the pain or cure it altogether?
Answer: This is the correct answer. RA is a horrible disease and I have it. I have defeated it with glucosamine and fish oil. I also take 1 Aleve tablet every morning. 2000 mg glucosamine with chondroitin, and 3000 mg fish oil. It takes a while, but it works, and many doctors now recommend this proven cure.

Question: Can a house cat have Rheumatism, Cataracts, and Dementia at the same time? My cat seems to have a variety of problems. I'm pretty sure it has Rheumatism, Cataracts, and Dementia. Its 24 human years old.
Answer: What you're calling rheumatism is probably osteoarthritis. There are supplements that can be sprinkled on a cat's food that help manage arthritis. The one my vet recommended is called Cosequin for Cats, but I've seen others.
It's very possible your cat has cataracts, and they usually have an underlying cause. It would be best to have your cat checked by the vet for things like diabetes.
Some behavior changes in older cats may look like dementia - meowing excessively, not using the litter box correctly, pacing, forgetfulness. Sometimes they're actually symptoms of physical disease, so again a checkup is important. Back to your question, there are studies confirming that cats can get Alzheimer's (see source).
I'm assuming the bigger question is what can be done if your cat has these. Depending on his/her overall health, it's possible to improve your cat's quality of life. It's important to get the advice of your vet. The only other thing is keep giving your cat love and attention.
Question: What is the difference between Athrithis and rheumatism? How do you avoid both? and if you already acquired how do you manage?
Answer: Frequent colds, mostly due to excess heat in the body or improper digestion, damage the working of Thyroid and parathyroid glands leading to inadequate digestion of calcium in the body. This in turn damages the working of Gonads/Sex glands which control the digestion of phospphorus. The combind effect is that the internal heat of the body reduces giving way to water level in the body to increase. Now, when the internal heat of the body is reduced in old age or due to weakness or continuous cold, there is pain in small joints called " RHEUMATIC ARTHRITIS ". Sometimes There is swelling in big joints and if not cured, it has a bad effect on the heart and so it is called " RHEUMATIOD ARTHRITIS ". When these problems of joint pains are tried to be suppressed by more and more powerful drugs, it impairs the nervous system. Moreover, damage to Thyroid, Parathyroid and Sex glands leads to damage to Adrenal gland which causes less oxygenation in the body. As a result of all these plus tension leads to stroke/paralysis.
Now, when we know the root causes of this painful chronic disease, it can be easily prevented by taking Acupressure treatment on all endrocrine glands and curing the cold in the beginning by understanding its rootcause.

Answer: Rheumatism
Rheumatism is the term used to describe any pain or inflammation in or around the bones, muscles or joints.
Rheumatism includes arthritis, which specifically means inflammation of the joints and is the name given to a group of over 200 diseases
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory type of arthritis.
Rheumatoid arthritis is also classified as an autoimmune disease (immune cells attack the body's own healthy tissues). The joints are primarily affected by rheumatoid arthritis, but there can be systemic effects (i.e. organs) as well.
Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common type of arthritis, affecting many people in the UK. The most commonly affected joints are the knees, the hips, hands, feet, and spine.

Question: Is there a difference in rheumatism and arthritis or is the same? If there is a difference could you explain what it is?
Answer: There are many different types of arthritis, but for the purposes of this discusion lets keep it as simple as possible.
A common form of arthritis is osteoarthritis or DJD "degenerative joint disease" Its not really a disease but an expected part of aging and usually starts at about 32 years of age. It will develop slowly and usually not equally on both sides of the joint. An example is the inside of your knee getting DJD first and then eventually forming through the entire knee over time. Essentially it is a build up of bone.
Rheumatoid arthritis is an inflammatory arthritis. There is a "pannus" formation which is like a blanket that gets into the joint space and actually cuts off a nutrient supply to the joint ending in actual eating away of the joint. It is usually present on both sides of the joint equally. Meaning in that same knee we talked about before both the inside and outside of the knee will be affected somewhat immediately.
Rhematoid is certainly the more severe of the 2 and the DJD is just a normal part of the aging process. The better shape we are in and the better we take care of ourselves the longer we can keep the DJD at bay and the slower it develops.
Question: How can I prevent arthritis or rheumatism? Does exercise help prevent this later in my 70s? What about eating habits? Weight? Genetics?
Answer: Eat healthy (obviously), avoid acid blockers, exercise (preferably weight-baring exercises on the major areas), and supplement with some joint health products.
The reason I include to avoid acid blockers is because they are commonly prescribed when diet changes would often solve the problem, plus the fact that when there's not enough acid in your stomach, proteins and minerals can't be digested. If they aren't digested and absorbed into the system, your body will leech proteins and minerals from other parts of the body in an effort to survive... the common protein sources are joints and muscles... common mineral sources are often bones.
Weight baring exercise helps to build up not only the strength of the bones, but can help keep the joints healthy and mobile as long as you don't push it too hard.
As far as supplementation, there are a few options. The most popular are Microlactin, Tart Cherries, Glucosamine, Chondroitin, MSM, Hyaluronic Acid, Litozin (Danish Rose Hips), and Bromelain. The only thing to really watch out for is allergies. Glucosamine is typically from Shellfish and Microlactin is from milk. As long as you're not allergic to those, you should have no problem.
Genetics do play a part in joint problems, but those who are more genetically disposed to have joint problems just need to take better care so they can minimize the impact of them. Good luck!
Question: Difference between what was commonly called rheumatism and what we now call fibromyalgia? I believe many disregard fibro because it is referred to as a "new" disease.
Answer: The term "rheumatism" is still used in colloquial speech and historical contexts, but is no longer frequently used in medical or technical literature; it would be fair to say that there is no longer any recognized disorder simply called "rheumatism". The traditional term covers such a range of different problems that to ascribe symptoms to "rheumatism" is not to say very much. Nevertheless, sources dealing with rheumatism tend to focus on arthritis. However, "non-articular rheumatism", also known as "regional pain syndrome" or "soft tissue rheumatism" can cause just as much discomfort and difficulty. Furthermore, arthritis and rheumatism between them cover at least 200 different conditions Fibromyalgia is one of the deceases it encompasses
