Royal Jelly

Question: What Dose of Royal Jelly Capsules should I take daily to improve my fertility? Me and SO are starting the IVF process after a failed IUI and many years ttc. I've heard that royal jelly and bee pollen and really good in improving fertility and great nutrients for the body to prepare for pregnancy. What dose should I get and what daily dose should I take?

Answer: You've done your research! The brand I take is Y.S. Organic Bee Farms' Fresh Royal Jelly capsules. One capsule has 2,000 mgs and I take one per day. I found mine at Whole Foods. I also take 8 mgs of wheat grass daily. It is supposed to alkalize your body providing a hospitable environment for the embryos. Edit: Funny Evil Twin. My only pregnancy via IVF was when I was taking royal jelly. After 3 failed cycles I was willing to try it. My embryo quality went from poor to "beautiful." It's a natural antibiotic, contains 16 vitamins, including B complex, 16 minerals, 18 enzymes, 22 amino acids. Yes. If you're allergic to bees don't take it. Duh. And "there’s no real evidence that those properties translate into practical, real-life use" doesn't mean it doesn't have antibiotic properties, it just means it hasn't been tested. “Perhaps the most valid criticism of royal jelly isn’t with the product itself” is the one sentence in that whole article that should hold the most weight. I don't believe it to be a cure-all and most thinking people would not either but if you have not done your research on its benefits in conjunction with IVF or fertility treatments do not bash it because of one dumb blog. CD~Check out the book Infertility Cure by Dr. Randine Lewis. It describes several studies that detail why royal jelly is beneficial to fertility. Good luck on your cycle!
