Question: How can I make scars less noticeable without makeup? I have light scarring on my face from acne and eczema. When my scars heal, they become a color darker than the rest of my skin, and the affected area is slightly indented. I use various corticosteroid creams and some scar-repair creams, but the eczema is recurring and these products just don't seem to work!
I don't want to have to wear make-up everyday. Is there a product or treatment out there that will make my scars blend in with the rest of my skin?
Answer: i dont know if you have tried it already but there is this miracle stuff called Bio Oil .... it works wonders for all kinds of scarring... even stretch marks... and its not very expensive either.... like 13 dollars or around that.... good luck!!
Question: What is the best way to reduce scars from years ago? When I was younger I was always a tomboy and ran around getting cuts all over my legs. They would bleed, and I would pick the scabs of, with caused scaring. That was 3 years ago and th scars on my legs still won't go away. Now I'd like to have nice legs, which I do, accept for the ugly white scars on them. What is the best way to get rid of these scars?
Answer: I'm with you girl. I'm sorry, but I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm the same as you. I used to be a tomboy and now I have scars all over my legs. I really don't think there is anything you can do about it.
Question: What is the best way to remove scars without medical attention? I have had scars on my face for about 9 years. They are not deep scars but its really embarassing. I have tried merderma but that takes too long and i really didn't see a difference. I need something that will work fast. I know that u cant remove the scars completely but i need something that will make it less noticeable. Please help me.
Answer: If you aren't going to be a model or something, I would suggest going back to the Mederma. It takes longer, but from all I know its the most effective thing around. The other option is to see a dermatologist. Its possible the scars can be treated with lasers.
Question: How to lighten scars by using home remedies? I have lots of scars especially on my legs and on my face(acne scars). I have been very self conscious and I never ever wear skirts or shorts above my knees. The scars make the skin on my leg look uneven.Do you have any home remedies which can really help? And I prefer remedies containing easy to find products.I envy my friends who have smooth legs. So, do you know how to make your legs appear smooth and sexy besides using a shave? Please help!
Answer: You can buy vitamin E capsules, open them up and apply liquid directly to scar everyday. My sister did this it made it go almost completely away. It took awhile though. Good luck.
Question: How noticeable are scars from a breast reduction? I am considering a breast reduction but am really concerned about the scars. I know that I will be scarred for a while as I heal, but how apparent are the scars long term?
Thanks!
Answer: i had a breast reduction in oct 08. my scars are already fading. my friend who had the same surgery last year by the same doctor has scars that are barely visible. you have to look super closely to even see that they are there.
however, i look at the scar as a very small price to pay for all the benefits that a breast reduction bring. i am VERY happy with my decision to do it.
Question: How to remove scars that happened due to an accident? Since there are more scars on my face, it looks bad, need some remedies to cure it. It happene due to an accident while travelling,
Answer: there is a product called scar away that you can buy at the drug store...i've heard it works
Question: What are the treatments for removing medium scars? I had a fall about 4 months ago and would remove the scars permanently. What are the possible treatments for removing scars? How much will they roughly cost?
Answer: You have 3 options:
1. You could try laser surgery but they're very expensive.
2. Your scar is relatively fresh, you could try applying Mederma, Kelo-Cote or Sca-Care C&E, all are special creams for treating scars (prices range between $30-$60).
3. Use a dermaroller (a roller with ~200 tiny needles that you roll on your skin). Price range: $30-$80. You could also use the roller in conjunction with other creams or oils to boost their effectiveness. For more information on how to buy and use dermarollers I invite you to visit my blog (see in sources) in which I also document my own progress using the roller on a scar I have in my leg.
Best of luck!
Question: How do I reduce the effects of scars from eczema? I'm 19 years old and have had eczema since I was roughly 15. It started just on my stomach cause of the belts I wore, and then on my arms, but that was nothing until this past year. I have it bad on my arms, stomach, half my back, upper thighs, chest, and neck. And I am also half hispanic, so I scar very easily. They aren't raised scars or anything, but just dark marks. And they stay, for years. Lotions for dry skin don't work, I know that. But even if I do control my eczema, the scars from it will last for a long time. Can anyone relate and possibly know any way to help me with my scars, or eczema? I'm running out of options! I feel like a leper here!
Answer: HI Amber
Here are some ideas to start the healing process.
Cause
Eczema is often called Dermatitis, and may be a symptom of an omega-3 fatty acid deficiency. Eczema can be due to allergies, allergies secondary to digestive disorders such as hydrochloric acid deficiency, rashes secondary to immune diseases, genetic metabolic disorders, and/or nutritional deficiencies, especially of niacin (vitamin B3) and B6, as well as other B vitamins.
To minimize your risk of developing eczema, avoid irritating substances, wear natural nonirritating materials, use soothing ointments, and check to see if dietary, nutritional, and/or and allergy-causing factors need to be considered.

Natural Cures
Aromatherapy: Bergamot, chamomile, lavender, melissa, neroli, eucalyptus, geranium, and/or juniper can help speed healing and relief of symptoms when applied topically to the affected areas.
Diet: Eat an organic, whole foods diet and avoid potentially allergy-causing foods, especially sugar, wheat, milk, and dairy products, including yogurt. Also avoid excess consumption of fruit, especially citrus and sour, as these foods may aggravate symptoms.
Flower Essences: Rescue Remedy® for accompanying stress, and Rescue Remedy Cream® on the affected areas.
Herbs: Herbal remedies such as cleavers, nettle, yellowdock, or red clover tea or tinctures may be very effective. They are often combined with relaxing herbs such as chamomile, linden flowers, or skullcap. One combination would be equal parts of cleavers, nettle, and chamomile drunk as an infusion three times a day. A stronger mixture combines the tinctures of figwort, burdock, and cleavers in equal parts; take one teaspoon of this mixture three times a day.
To alleviate itching, bathe affected areas of your body with lukewarm or cold chickweed infusion. For cracked, dry, or painful skin, use a salve made from calendula flowers and St. John`s wort leaves.
Goldenseal applied externally may also be helpful.
Homeopathy:Dulcamara, Rhus tox., Sulfur, Arsen alb., and Graphites, taken alone or in combination with each other can help speed healing. Petroleum and Psorinum are also effective homeopathic remedies, but must be taken alone.
Hydrotherapy: Hydrotherapy is the application of water, ice, steam and hot and cold temperatures to maintain and restore health. Treatments include full body immersion, steam baths, saunas, sitz baths, colonic irrigation and the application of hot and/or cold compresses. Hydrotherapy is effective for treating a wide range of conditions and can easily be used in the home as part of a self-care program. Many Naturopathic Physicians, Physical Therapists and Day Spas use Hydrotherapy as part of treatment. I suggest several at-home hydrotherapy treatments.
Juice Therapy: The following juice combinations can help speed healing: black currant and red grapes; carrot, beet, spinach, cucumber, and parsley; and wheat grass juice.
Nutritional Supplementation: Vitamin A and GLA (gamma-linolenic acid), an omega-6 essential fatty acid found in high quantities in evening primrose oil, have both been shown to improve the symptoms of eczema. Vitamin E. Other useful supplements for preventing and reversing eczema include vitamin B complex, vitamin B6, vitamin E, magnesium, and zinc.
Topical Treatment: Apply evening primrose oil directly to cracked and sore areas of the skin. A topical paste made from ginkgo and licorice root extract has also been shown to improve eczema symptoms.
Alternative Professional Care
If your symptoms persist despite the above measures, seek the help of a qualified health professional. The following professional care therapies have all been shown to be useful for treating and relieving the symptoms of eczema: Acupuncture, Ayurveda, Biofeedback Training, Bodywork (Acupressure, Shiatsu, Reflexology), Detoxification Therapy, Energy Medicine (Light Beam Generator, Ondamed, Photon Stimulator), Environmental Medicine, Hypnotherapy, Magnetic Field Therapy (North Pole Magnetic Energy Application), Mind/Body Medicine, Naturopathic Medicine, Orthomolecular Medicine, Osteopathy, and Oxygen Therapy
Best of health to you
Question: What gets rid of Older acne scars on my face? I used to pick big holes in my face from acne and now have red scars all over my face. I don't do it anymore and my face is clear now, but I really want to get rid of the scarring. I've thought of trying things like miderma, but since they're older scars and on my face I don't know if that will work.
Answer: I used to have horrible acne I can't even tell you how bad it was. I found www.StopMyAcne.Info and bought it for like $20 and it seriously cured my acne.
Like seriously IT IS GONE. I don't even have ONE LITTLE PIMPLE!!!!
After using this I can't believe it's only $20 and after you use it you won't either haha
The trips I took to the dermatologist cost me WAY more than that lol and the CRAP they gave me just made my acne worse~!!!!! uhggg... lol
Oh and it also guarantees it will cure your acne in 3 days or your money back.
Anyway I hope this helps!
Love Diana

I know that they may scar, but is there any way that i can minimize the scar? Are there any creams or liquids I can use to take make the scars non visible... Thanks u for any help!
Answer: they will faid. i had a infected monroe that i had to have takin out because it went into my jaw and the doctor told me it i did salt water & a cream that you would use for a scrape or cut until the hole closes it wouldnt scar at all and damn if he wasnt right! lol
Question: How can I get rid of scars without buying tubes and tubes of scar-fixing cream? I have a bunch of old scars from poison ivy, bug bites, knee scrapes, etc on my legs. I have bought scar removing or at least diminish creams in the past, but they haven't done much. Is there something else I could do? Perhaps a home remedy or something? Or is there a cream that works within the first few uses?
Answer: It takes at least six months of using a scar minimizing cream four times per day in order to see serious results on old scars. Eight weeks for new scars, but even then I'd still use them. Still, they'd only be minimized, but if you looked closely they'd still be visible. I like Mederma.
Arnica gel does amazing things rather quickly with bumps and bruises. Calendula helps with to smooth out scars. Either way you go, it's going to take dedication to consistently use the products you buy.
Question: I am an ethnic woman with scars from cystic acne, Is there a quick and inexpensive way to lighten these scars? My skin color is like Halle Berrys and I have an olive undertone so the scars showed up dark purple to red. The acne scars are on my face.
Answer: Sweety stay away from the peels and acids! If you are a girl with ethnic skin tones these things could bleach you out. The only thing I would use (and I do use it) is Ambi Cream. It's cheap, it's made for darker skin, it works. :) hope this helps
Question: How do I remove purple scratch scars on my legs? Recently my thighs have had purple scars from scratching my legs. I've never really noticed any of them until recently. I know that I used to scratch my legs from pure itchiness, no injuries, bites, burns, etc. I've already looked on google but none of the results are relevant to my situation. The scars are numerous but small and noticeable especially against my light skin. Is there any over the counter treatment I could take to fade the scars or away? If not, what course of action should I take? Thank you for your help.
Answer: Vitamin E and Aloe work good for scars and stretch marks. All that jazz. If I need something healed right away I'll go to the local drug store and buy vitamin E capsules, poke it with a tack and squeeze it onto the problem area. Works within a week
Question: I have these same scars on my face since I was two years old. How can I get rid of these scars? I have a plan on having flawless skin like Rihanna, but I have too many scars on my face. I've been having these scars for a long time. I'm just wondering what type of dermatologist can help me get rid of them?
Answer: Not type of dermatologist but what kind of treatment your face need.
Dermabrassion is the one effective to improve your scars on the face for the deep scars. A regular peeling like diamond peel is enough if your scars are shallow. There is also a filler (hydrogel) for the deep scars also. A little expensive treatments but effective.
Question: How do you remove permanent scars from your skin? Some accidents result in severe wounds which leave scars after they heal.It takes a very long time to get rid of them.
Answer: you would have to have some laser treatment or plastic surgery which can be expensive or painful. the safest way is to use a scar cream like Mederma. it has results but it takes a while for the scar to fade
