Sports Nutrition
Question: What's the next big thing in bodybuilding and sports nutrition? The last big thing, since I remembered, in bodybuilding and sports nutrition was creatine. It came out about a decade ago, and all my friends started using it and benefited from it. Now, what's new in the market and will be widely used in the future?
Answer: Beta Alanine is supposedly the next big thing.

There are some very popular supplements right now that use it like Controlled Labs Purple Wraath and NO Shotgun.
Question: what should be included in a survey about sports nutrition? i need to crreate a survey for the athletic coaches on my college campus to see what they think would be the most helpful in regards to sports nutrition/counseling. things like supplements, meal patterns, etc. Any suggestions?
Answer: I have a suggestion. If you want the best survey results for sports nutrition, send your survey to the department of nutrition. Contact the department head first, and ask if you can send it out.
You wouldn't send out a survey asking for an opinion of the top ten novels of the twentieth century to the department of electrical engineering, would you?
If you're going to send out a survey to the coaches, ask them about coaching methods. How does being a disciplinarian affect coaching performance? What offenses by athletes deserve being thrown off the team? What is the role of praise in coaching?
Unfortunately, coaches are not experts in nutrition. If you surveyed both coaches and nutritionists about proper nutrition for optimal performance, which survey would you trust more?
P.S. Go to the English department for surveys about the top ten novels of the twentieth century.

Answer: Try posting free ads in websites offering free classifieds. B'coz, ads have become a great source for marketing today. You can place free ads about your product in the websites that are linked to the sites which I have tried. They are

Answer: Most post exchanges have a GNC store in their shopping arcade area or have this sort of product on retail display inside the main store. However, most of the merchandise for Army and Air Force Exchanges are centrally purchased. The source below is a link to that exchange system's web site. Question: Is steriods the next level of sports nutrition? Obviously abusing any drug will cause medical problems and perhaps death, but is creating safer steriods the next level of sports nutrition. It apparently works. (i.e. Ben Johnson's performance; Barry Bonds performance)
Answer: I do not understand why people call it cheating. It is called gaining an edge. People say that everyone should be on the same playing field as far as not taking any supplements. With the money that is involved these days and the level of competition and not to mention the pressure and scrutiny these athletes are under to preform, it's no wonder these guys try to give themselves an edge. If there was no competition between players and other athletes, then why do some spend time in the weight room? Why do they stay after to take ground balls? Why do they stay late to hit batting practice? The answer is to be better than the other person. It is the same thing as using a supplement. I do like the concept of steriods being controlled by officials or governement and can make it a safer substance, but who is to say when that is going to be.

Question: degree in sports science, sports nutrition or similar course? My question is in relation to obtaining a degree in sports science, sports nutrition or a course similar. I currently have a diploma in fitness instruction and an extended course in certified personal training. My leaving cert points were 425 and I am currently working full time in a gym and I might have the opportunity to manage soon.
Is there any courses that you know of that will provide a degree on a part time basis, or full time but quicker than the average due to my previous qualifications in a related field of practice?
Answer: Hello Vincent,
There are a number of different questions here - let's see if I can help.
While I appreciate your interest in being involved with sports, the possibilities you mention are all over the place.
If you are interested in sports nutrition, you would obtain training in nutrition and emphasize any relation to sports - do your term papers on sports-related themes, or any theme that addresses high-intensity activity and consequent nutritional needs.
I know one student who obtained a business degree, and did everything he could to relate his studies in relation to sports-businesses. He is now the business manager for a professional hockey team in the USA.
As for your prior experiences in sports and training - they are excellent credentials to get into a program. Some institutions allow "credit by portfolio" but I don't think much of a place that allows that. Instead, go for a part-time degree and, once again, do everything you can to relate it to your sports and fitness interests.
Good luck to you.
Question: If i study sports science at university, can i then go onto study sports nutrition? or is there a different route i need to take to get into nutrition.
Answer: definately. I think you could study nutrition on it's own though, but if not then sports science is a good route to go down. good luck

Answer: UCF has a major in Sports & Fitness and one in Health Sciences: Athletic Training. There is a minor in Health Sciences also. That's the closest they have.
Question: Where do you start if you want to develop your own line of sports nutrition products?
Answer: well anyone can have an idea, or a great concept.... start with knowing what product u want to produce..... then u can go to chemist, or somone that works in the nutrition and sports medicine field.... they can help you... look at your idea...
but make sure u get them to sign papers so they do not patent your idea and take it from you..
