Question: supplements? has anyone used 'kent equine choice' free choice supplements? it comes in different size tubs and the horse has free choice access to it. if so, how did you like it?
Answer: I have not used Kent but I have heard of people using a different company and the horses just eat it all at once. They say this is normal until they get what they need and then they will only eat it if they need it.

(Nitrix) 1-2 tablets, during workout days only; 30 mins before working out on empty stomach.
(Amino acid) 1 tablet, everyday. after working out.
(Whey protein) 1 serving everyday. 1 serving on workout days after working out.
Note: I'm not really a body builder... just needed it to be a little bigger.
Question: is my schedule for taking up this supplements is O.K.?

Answer: Speed work, sprinting etc will get you faster. Supps will only aid in recovery but will not make you faster. Question: What supplements for bodybuilding can i take as a type 1 diabetic? I am a type one diabetic. I also love to weight train and body build. I use whey and actually the insulin that i take to my advantage, but i was wondering if anyone else having type 1 has taken any other supplements other than whey? I work out quite frequently and drink plenty of water. My doctor just says that i should stay away from supplements that might put extra stress on my kidneys. Got any ideas?

Answer: that is up to the league. for example DHEA is banned in the NBA but its not a illegal substance. I would recommend taking a deeper look into it by going to the MLB, NFL, NBA websites.

Question: What are good supplements for bulid muscle over the summer? Im 17 and looking for a good supplement that will help gain muscle over the summer for my football season next year. I hear taking supplements will help you gain muscle but after a month of not working out the muscle turns into flab.I looking for a affordable protien mix that will help achieve about at 50% of max now. Answer: The best product you can take is a chemical free whey protein. Whey is easily absorbed and aids greatly in tissue repair. Focus on your nutrition as well

Answer: Check if there's a common ingredient to all of the supplements you are taking. Perhaps you are getting bloated from one of those. Or, it could be a food intolerance and you are mistakenly attributing it to supplements.

Answer: Depends on how much you want to spend. Here are my favorite supplements in order what I like and use the most.
Whey protein
AAKG (arginine any version is good for me)
Glutamine
Creatine - not to often because I eat so much red meat.
I was able to go from 135 lbs to 175 lbs in one summer. I ate like a horse, made sure I ate at least 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight, and I used Mike Mentzer High Intensity training routines (AKA heavy duty).

Now here is my whey protein schedule
Right out of bed 50 gram shake/smoothie
Immediately after workout 50 gram shake/smoothie
Right before bed 50 gram shake/smoothie
Then sometimes if I wake up in the middle of the night, I will go to the kitchen and have another 50 gram shake/smoothie.
This blows up recovery and puts the mass on quick!

Question: What supplements can help the immune system get stronger after cancer treatment? My friend recently had all the lymph nodes removed from the right side of his neck and shoulder after 3 months of very aggressive cancer treatment. Answer: This question REALLY needs to be posed to your doctor. While yahoo answers people are eager to help, and there may be some doctors in the house, you should not take medical advice from strangers on the internet.

Most of the work out programs I have studied have the lifter working out in the morning, and taking their supplements throughout the day. I work out at 10PM and then go to sleep. How can I use my supplements effectively and still work out at 10PM?
Answer: What supplements are you taking? And more importantly what are you eating besides taking supplements. If your diet is weak, supplements will be a waste of time and money.
Question: how often must dietary supplements be tested according to the new dietary supplement rules? I need to know the stability testing rules for dietary supplements and the FDA guidelines are impossible to understand. Anyone have a straight answer?
Answer: Drugs have to be fully tested.
However, a supplement is not a drug.
things like weight loss pills, protein powders, cod liver oils etc only have to be tested for hygiene to make sure they are safe. they dont have to be tested to see if they actually work.
Question: What type of dietary supplements is a person prescribed after lap band surgery? I am doing a research project about Lap Band surgery and I am having trouble finding supplements. My teacher said there are a lot that you need to take, but I'm really only finding multivitamin, calcium and iron supplements.
Answer: I'm having lap band surgery in a couple weeks. My nutritionist said I need to have ~70 grams of protein and take a chewable mutli-vitamin everyday. Question: What supplements should i take for weight lifting? I have just started weight lifting and i was told i should be taking supplements. There are so many, which ones should i be taking or do i even need them. I am basically looking to bulk up and gain muscle.
Answer: Well first u need to be doing a good weight program, if u are doing ur weights in the mouring or early in the after noon u will proberly need just the 3 supplements a tri-blend creatine, take this b4 ur workout, whey protein isolate (WPI) not whey protein concentrate(WPC), take this strait after ur workout and u can mix it in with some fruit like a smoothy or something and just b4 u go to bed take some Casein protein powder, this is a time release protien and should be taken with milk to help slow down the absorbtion, this will give protein to ur muscles throughout the night, or if u cant afford casien WPC does basically the same thing just bit cheaper,
if u do ur weight session just b4 bed all u need is that creatine to take b4 ur session and a WPI/WPC blend to take after providing that is when u are goin to bed, also u cant bulk up if u are planning to eat junk food or have no respect for what goes in ur mouth like alcahol ect, just try and stick to natural foods this will help u more than most supplements :D
